I use PS 7.

My First Tutorial

We’ll be going from this to this.

1. Crop your base to 100 x 100.

2. Duplicate your base and set to Screen 100% Opacity and Fill.

Depending on the quality of your image, you may need to do this more than once, I did it twice.

3. Duplicate your base and set to Colour 100% Opacity and Fill.

4. Duplicate your base and set to Pin Light 100% Opacity and Fill.

5. Duplicate your base and set to Linear Burn 100% Opacity and 7% Fill.

6. Go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Solid Colour > # E54F4F

7. Go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Selective Colour.

I'd love to see all your results. :)

I think I actually came close to what it's sposed to look like, for once!

My result:Bellebandw.jpg Thanks for the easy-to-follow-wiht-a-great-result tut!

Amy, I tried yours...I couldn't tell whether it looked right or not. : Baby.jpg

And this is a result from one of Amir's: BelleTaylor.jpg

I had a tutorial idea awhile ago, I tried it out and everything, but it's a bit stupid...I fel like everything else has been done! :P

You tried it on an ultrasound pic? Strange strange girl :P

I know...it was a screencap!

:P...don't call me strange! I don't carer whether it's true or not, just don't!

I'm writing a very basic, strange tut!

Keep in mind this is my first ever tutorial, and very strange. Like Megans, it works better on ones with white backrounds.

OPen Picture:

Crop. Do NOT do ANYTHING else!!!

Add this layer: red.jpg

And set to darken, 100%. THe red pattern will also be over her face, but we'll fix that with her friend the eraser tool.

Click on the backround eraser tool and rub off the streaks you don't want, unless you think it's cool to have streaks everywhere! :P

Now do the simple things, like blur to smooth skin, sharpen, etc.

My image now:

tut.jpg

Next add curves. I120 O182. This should brink out the pinkiness in the red pattern.

Next, a colour balance layer. Midtones: -100, 0 , 0

Brightness and Contrast: Brightness: +21, Contrast: +33.

Next add this layer: bluey.png

And the choice is yours of what you set it to, really. What YOU think looks right.

I used all different ones, with different effects, just to show you different ideas:

You then add fonts and brushes and whatever else you'd like, I wrote this as I went.

A very random, strange tut, but whatever...

I'm sorry if it's pointless!

If you don't think so, I'd love to hear thoughts and comments!

It was! Thank you so much for it! :D

Since this IS a tut...

I know how to do layers...

but in a few of Mercsa, she's just said add these textures, so how do you do that?

And brushes...?

Oh, one more question: How do you get different text? I've downloaded some, I just don't know how to get it into my selections.

Any help is appreciated. Sorry to be so needy! :P:P

Just copy>paste and change the layer style (soft light, screen, exclusion (?)) etc down at the right

Add brushes? :P Hmm I don't have PS here but if I remember correctly.. Open the picture brush step_1.gif (random I found on the net :P) then go to Image (?) > define brush pattern *or something like that* and then you should be fit for fight < if this was what you meant :P

My computer > Local disk c > windows > fonts.
