Cash is getting on my nerves now.

If I had $5m and lived in Summer Bay, see ya!

Early Adam straddled the line between good-hearted layabout and tool.

Jeez, even the Sunroom at Wendy's in the U.S. was fancier!

Maybe a Michael Jackson influence?

Diana: Good heavens, A lady of my calibre couldn't would not be seen dead in an establishment like this. No offence meant, of course Cue indignant glare from Pippa or the Nashes. James shakes his head and is all "You'll have to excuse my mother, she has a bad case of foot-in-mouth disease!" (I know past characters all too well lol)

How much longer will the show last
CaptainHulk replied to Irishbraxton's topic in General Discussion
The main problems with Corrie (for me) are - Characters fall into the same traps - Every 5th Person now is a Villain or Dodgy or just Villain-Bait - The writers Blatantly play favorites - Certain characters are untouchable - Deadness of the Rovers compared to years ago - The hour eps don't have the Sting they used to and are mostly filler. So I stand by the "Less is More Argument". -

Corrie could really benefit from shaving an hour. It's been dire at 3×1hr eps a week for a few years and it's really diluted it. -
Me seeing Tane/Harper; "That's HOW you got into this mess ffs!" *realises blunder on his last post, backs through hedge ala Homer*

In an alt reality, he'd probably living there but he'd have to adhere to Irene's no-booze rule.
-
Tbf. It's a Murder trial.

Some people get the idea in their head that they can "fix" people.

Does the show need an injection of life, if so, then what?

A few more laughs tbf -
That'd finish him *off*. His Ticker's been a bit dicky for a few years now!

I think the only thing that would snap Alf of it would be the threat of Morag (Cornelia has since died but Morag's fate is ambiguous) coming down to stay

Good stuff today. Now That's a Cliffhanger

I'm currently reading an early years rewatch thread on tellytalk (dated a few years back) and it's really insightful and a little addictive.

Home and Away: The Early Years UK Tour! (cancelled)
CaptainHulk replied to Summer's Bay's topic in The Bayside Diner
Probably owns a fleet of boats. I can see Matthew Lilley in a skit Hamming up with a captain's hat on (His comic timing when he had Lisa Lackey or Lynne McGranger to play off of was great) -
I am over Eden. *Bad Borat impression* "Hi-Five!"
-
PMSL at Today's ep. Leah played a blinder! Haven't had a good laugh in a while on H&A.
-
True. Though if I had Carl for a father, a wood chipper, a dumpster or the bottom of the ocean would be viable (frankly cheaper and much more fitting) options

EE came along when people were beginning to become disillusioned with Corrie (1985 was apparently weak, with the Claytons who were highly disliked) and it seemed like CS had "grown old with the audience". The one year of the 80s Corrie was stronger was 1989 (Den leaving was a giant blow) -
My Bree Dislike-o-meter is at 8.8 right now. And on Social Media, a lot of people are finding her insufferable, too.

I dunno who's done my head in more this week; Abi or Bree...
