Extended Summary

Sonny turns up at the Lyrik house wondering how Remi is. Eden asks how much he had to drink last night, since he’s still sleeping it off in his room. Sonny says he didn’t get round last night…and Remi isn’t in his room, since he just checked. Eden says she hasn’t seen him since she checked on him in the morning. Sonny gets a phone call from Bree and wearily says he’ll be right there. He tells Eden that Remi’s at the hospital.

There, Remi is rambling to Bree that he’ll do anything she wants him to and ignoring Bree saying she wants him to go. A security guard arrives and Bree tells him to get Remi out of there. Sonny and Eden arrive and Sonny manages to usher Remi out. He tells Remi he needs to go but Remi keeps insisting that he needs to be there for Bree.

Dana bumps into Levi near the surf club and notes she thought he was in the city with Mackenzie, wondering if he got sick of his mother-in-law. Levi says he wanted to get back to check on Bree. Dana says she’s going to check in on her before her shift. They discuss that it’s a sign that they need to be careful.

At the Diner, Alf and Roo arrive. Marilyn says she’s sorry she didn’t get home to say a proper farewell to Cohen. Roo says it all happened fast. She says Cohen is starting a new life with his father and all that matters is that he’s safe and happy. Marilyn goes to get her a cup of tea while Alf says he’d make things better for her if he could.

Dana arrives back at the flat and leaves a phone message for Sonny, saying she had to stop waiting for him at Salt because she has a shift. Meanwhile, Levi arrives at the hospital to find Remi still arguing with the guard while Sonny tries to play peacemaker. Remi gets anxious that Levi has been called in. Levi tells him to go home and is allowed into the room where Eden is sat with Bree. Bree says she shouldn’t have phoned Remi, and Eden regrets telling her to reach out. Levi says he’ll check on her first, then deal with Remi.

Marilyn serves Alf and Roo. Roo gets a call from Martha which she doesn’t take. Marilyn tries to suggest that Cohen will have fun with his new family. Roo worries that Cohen will be lost and Adrian doesn’t know him well enough to tell. She ends up going for a walk. Marilyn wonders if she went too far in reassuring her. Alf says he’s been trying to do the same thing.

Remi gets up as Levi emerges but just gets told Bree doesn’t want him here again. As the security guard approaches, Remi dodges round him into the room, telling Bree he’ll always love her. Eden says he’s scaring her and Remi notices her expression for the first time. Sonny escorts him to the lift as Levi and Eden look on. Eden goes back to Bree who worries that Remi will come back.

Remi and Sonny walk through a park area. Sonny tries to convince Remi that he just made things worse by going to see Bree. Remi thinks that Bree will need help when she gets out of hospital and wants to be the one to provide that help. Back at the hospital, Levi does a brief check on Bree. Eden apologises to Bree for telling her to call Remi but Bree doesn’t blame her. She wonders if Remi is ever going to listen.

Alf finds Roo on the beach and notes he thought she’d be at home. Roo announces she wants to go and see Cohen once he’s back from his grandmother’s party. Alf says she needs to give Cohen and Adrian some space; she’s not his carer anymore and it’ll send the wrong message if she turns up unannounced. Roo agrees not to go.

Dana turns up at the hospital and runs into the security guard, Keith. He tells her about Bree’s ex turning up. Dana tells him not to gossip. Not too far away, Eden asks Levi how it went with Mackenzie’s mum. Levi says they got on and she’s helping Mackenzie with the IVF. Dana turns up and they leave her to keep an eye on Bree while they go to get her some food. Dana admits she heard what happened from Keith but tells Bree she’ll put anyone that gossips in their place.

At Salt, Sonny tries to convince Remi to stay away from Bree. When Levi and Eden come in, Remi asks them for news. Levi says Bree is doing better but she needs time to rest and recover. Remi says to tell Bree that he’ll get her whatever she wants when she gets home. Levi says he’s not going to pass that on and Remi’s crossing the line again. Remi says he could have lost her. Eden says he’s already lost her and needs to accept that.

Later, Remi and Sonny are out on the balcony. Sonny refuses to talk, saying if Remi can tell him what will make a difference, then he’ll say it, otherwise he’ll just eat his pizza. Remi asks what he’d do in his position. Sonny says if he’d made one really bad decision, then he wouldn’t make fifty more.

Dana offers Bree a choice of crisps, neither of which she seems to find appetising. Dana assures her she’s on her break. Bree is still worried about Remi showing up. Eden and Levi turn up with pasta for her. Bree gets a text from Remi saying he’s sorry, he’s there if she needs him and he’s thinking of her.

Next morning, at the coffee cart, Marilyn asks Alf and Roo what they’re doing for the day. Alf says he has surf club business. Roo promises that she won’t go after Cohen; she has a debriefing with the foster people and is going to tell them she needs a break before the next assignment. Alf brushes aside Marilyn’s attempts to ask how he is.

Sonny has spent the night on the sofa at the Lyrik house. Eden emerges and they discuss how neither of them got through to Remi, given he texted Bree. Remi appears, seemingly in a better mood, and says he’s going out. They wonder if maybe what they said did work. They don’t realise that Remi has got a text from Bree asking him to come to the hospital. He replies saying he’ll see her soon.

Shortly after, Eden and Sonny meet up with a sleepy Dana outside the surf club. Dana is surprised that Eden is joining them for breakfast. She tells them about Bree texting Remi to meet her, saying it wasn’t a conversation Bree wanted to have on the phone. Eden and Sonny are somewhat frustrated after their attempts to keep Remi away.

Levi tells Bree that they’ll remove her chest tube today. Remi turns up and Levi tries to get rid of him. Bree explains she invited him and Levi says he’ll wait outside. Bree tells Remi not to sit down because he won’t be there long.
