Extended Summary

Kirby is finishing off a class on the beach and reminds them that the open gala is shortly. Eden comes up in an agitated state, rambling about Cash and Tim telling her different things and how she doesn’t know who to believe. Kirby tries to calm her down as Eden manages to explain that Cash told her Tim had hooked up with a client. Kirby agrees that Cash wouldn’t lie to her but also that Tim probably feels like things are out of control.

At the police station, Tim continues to complain to Rose about Cash, saying he’s out of control. Rose offers to take a statement if he calms down but Tim just says he wants it stopped and leaves. Rose goes to the back room where Cash is waiting. Cash says Tim doesn’t like him. Rose points out Cash first tried to look him up on the police database and has since been looking at his social media, contacting his family, friends and now a former client, crashing a private party and harassing him in the street. Cash says what he does in his own time isn’t her problem. Rose tells him to go home and sort himself out. Cash says he has new information but Rose says it’s not a police matter.

Marilyn runs into Alf outside the house and says she was hoping to see him before work. Alf worries that there’s a problem and admits he’s had no luck looking for a new venue: Everywhere decent is asking for the same as the current landlord. At the surf club, Abigail is telling Mali that she didn’t think she’d trust another counsellor but is getting on well with her new one. Eden turns up and confirms to Mali that Kirby’s packing up. Mali leaves and Eden tries to make small talk with Abigail but gets given short shrift. Cash arrives but practically ignores Eden, instead asking Abigail for a coffee. Abigail agrees and Eden watches them go.

Upstairs in Salt, Abigail asks Cash what he’s after. Cash wants information on Tim. Abigail says he isn’t her counsellor anymore, having stopped some time after he started sleeping with Eden. She asks what business it is of Cash’s. Cash says he’s worried about Eden. Abigail says Cash is the reason Eden’s with Tim, having practically pushed her towards him, and has done nothing but hurt her.

Eden is at home when Kirby arrives back, on the phone to Mali about posters. Eden says Tim isn’t anwering her messages and tells her about Cash turning up to see Abby. She notes when Cash is there she wants him gone, but when he isn’t she worries what he’s doing. Kirby points out he isn’t being secretive. Eden texts Tim saying they need to talk.

Cash tells Abigail he wants her to report Tim. Abigail says she’s got a new counsellor now and is doing okay. Cash says that doesn’t help Eden. Abigail thinks Tim genuinely likes her. Cash tells her about Nerida and says they need to get Eden away from Tim. Cash and Abigail head downstairs, with Abigail uncomfortable with the idea of blowing up Eden’s relationship. Cash suggests she should talk to Nerida. Mali asks Abigail if she still wants a lift. Abigail tells Cash she’ll think about it.

At the Diner, Leah and Marilyn are chatting about how Alf seems down again after being more positive earlier. Rose, who is also at the counter, comments on how difficult it is when you can’t help a friend. She changes her mind, asking for two lasagnes instead of one. Meanwhile, Abigail and Mali arrive back at the farm house. Abigail isn’t sure about Cash’s request, saying she doesn’t really know Cash. Mali says he doesn’t know him that well either but knows he’s friends with Tane and hasn’t been the same since Felicity died. He thinks Cash still cares about Eden but asks what Abigail wants.

At the Newman house, Cash talks to Nerida on the phone, asking if she’d be willing to meet another ex-client of Tim’s. Rose turns up with the takeaway and a bottle of wine and Cash welcomes her in. She apologises for being hard on him and he accepts she was doing her job. Rose suggests it’s a good thing Tim didn’t report him and maybe Cash is wrong about him. Cash puts the food back in the bag and bluntly thanks her for checking in. Rose says she’ll see him at work.

Kirby asks Eden what she wants for dinner. Eden instead answers the door to Tim and Kirby decides to have dinner out. Tim apologises to Eden for being defensive but promises that he’s never had a relationship and that’s not who he is, saying he hopes she believes him. Next morning, Alf is walking through the caravan park having another disappointing phone call about a one-room shack in the middle of nowhere that is apparently still out of his price range. He admits to Marilyn that he’s thinking of giving up.

Eden exits her room and finds a shirtless Tim making coffee. She kisses him and thanks him for coming round to explain. Tim says he’ll go out and get them breakfast. Kirby emerges from her room, having slept through her alarm. She notices Tim, who goes to get his clothes. Kirby realises that’s why Eden was in bed when she got home. Tim reappears and Eden walks him out.

Eden escorts Tim to his car and kisses him goodbye. Shortly after he has driven off, Cash returns from a run. Eden wants to talk to him about Tim. Cash says he will if she’s willing to listen. When Eden insists Cash doesn’t know what he’s talking about, Cash leaves. At the farm house, Mali is on the phone to Kirby, insisting he’s on his way. He asks Abigail if she’s made a decision about Nerida. Eden turns up wanting to talk. Mali looks questioningly at Abigail who sends him away. Eden asks Abigail not to do what Cash wants and insists Tim promised he didn’t sleep with a client. Abigail is unimpressed, saying Eden can’t tell her what to do.

Mali arrives at the surf club, where Kirby has been waiting for him to open up the posters. They pull it out and Mali is impressed but Kirby says the photo’s been altered, pulling out the proof for comparison. Mali looks the same but Kirby’s skin is lighter and they’ve made her look thinner. She wonders why they’d do that.

Abigail goes round to see Cash and tells him she’s willing to meet with Nerida and hear what she has to say: She’s not making any promises, but says if Cash is right about Tim then they need to stop him.
