Extended Summary

Mackenzie and Levi have just finished a swim on the beach. They discuss what they’re going to do with his day off, since they have the house to themselves with Abigail at her counselling session. However, John pulls up next to them in his buggy and reminds Mackenzie they have a meeting later. Mackenzie explains to Levi that she has to sign a new lease now she’s sole owner of Salt.

At the farm house, Abigail is reminding Eden that she told her she didn’t want her coming along to the counselling session and got ignored. Levi turns up and Abigail explains she’s not going to counselling because Eden hijacked it. She then declares that she came there for some peace and quiet and is going somewhere where she won’t be controlled.

Justin and Leah are enjoying their complimentary breakfast in the resort grounds. Justin wonders if now is a good time to talk. Leah thinks they’re doing okay and reminds him the manager said they had all day. Justin concludes they should go back to their room, grabbing a bottle of champagne from next to their table on the way there and putting up the Do Not Disturb sign.

Outside the farm house, Levi asks Eden what happened to giving Abigail space. Eden says it wasn’t her style and felt like abandoning her again so she decided to sort things out. Levi decides the most important thing is to get Abigail to her session. He says he’ll go and look for her and tells Eden to ring Tim and make sure he’s still available.

Theo sees Abigail sat outside the surf club and recalls she works for Mali, asking if she’s opening up. Abigail sarcastically asks if it looks like she is. Theo says she needs to work on her customer service. Abigail squares up to him but Levi grabs her arm and drags her away. Abigail says she doesn’t have any plan beyond not going to the session.

Up in Salt, Mackenzie signs the lease for John. He offers to help her out with her insurance upgrade but she declines. Theo appears and tells her Abigail just had a go at him. Mackenzie takes in the fact that Abigail’s there. Back at the farm house, Eden gets a text from Levi saying “Found her. Stand by.” Tim suddenly pulls up in his car. Eden is surprised he didn’t just call back and he explains something felt off about Abigail cancelling the session, Eden explains she took off.

Justin and Leah are in bed with their clothes scattered about the room. Leah suggests staying another night but Justin doesn’t want to push their luck and adds that the drive home will be a good time to talk. He reminds her the trip was meant to reset them. Leah says it did, but as she heads for the shower, Justin looks uncertain.

Levi is bewildered as Abigail tells him that she cancelled the session to keep Eden away from it, on the basis that she can’t gatecrash a session that doesn’t happen. Levi tries to tell her that the counselling is an important part of her recovery. Eden calls Levi and tells him that Tim’s there. Levi tells her he’ll try and get Abigail there but isn’t optimistic, especially since Abigail is currently walking towards the beach.

Mackenzie serves Theo some board wax, saying he can catch up with Mali later to pay. Levi comes in, recalling how upbeat he was that morning. He explains the situation with Abigail and how he can’t convince her to go home to Tim. Mackenzie offers to talk to her. Outside, Abigail approaches Theo and, after making small-talk, apologises for ripping into him, saying she has family stuff going on. Mackenzie approaches and suggests Abigail come up for a lunch on the house, although she can’t guarantee she won’t try and talk her round.

Leah and Justin check out with Jarvis, confirming that they enjoyed their stay and appreciated the breakfast. They wait on the veranda as someone brings their car round, with Leah saying she’s glad they came, before they drive off. At Salt, Mackenzie tries to argue to Abigail that her counsellor obviously cares about her and she liked him. Levi suggests they just have lunch but then Eden and Tim arrive. Abigail walks straight out and Tim goes after her. Levi tells Eden she could have given him warning, while Eden is bewildered that he’s still having a go at her.

Tim catches up with Abigail on the beach, saying he drew the short straw. He comments that he thought their first session went well. Abigail says it did but she struggled with getting her thoughts down in the journal, and once she did Eden went and read it. Tim agrees that was a breach of trust. Up in Salt, Levi and Eden are arguing about what happened. Mackenzie steps in, saying they have to leave because they’re putting off the paying customers. Eden does so (although she’s told to come back for her shift later) and Mackenzie makes it clear she meant Levi too.

Theo is taken by surprise when Justin and Leah come home, saying he expected them tomorrow, and asks for half an hour to clear the place up. Justin indicates they could use some time alone and Theo agrees to head over to Remi’s. Justin asks Leah if they can talk now but Leah wants to clear the place up first. Justin agrees but wants this to be the last delaying tactic.

Eden is playing pool and is amused when Levi comes downstairs as well. They agree to a truce. Abigail arrives with Tim and asks Levi to take her home; she’s agreed to do the counselling session there. Levi and Abigail leave. Tim tells Eden that Abigail feels betrayed. Eden agrees she was wrong but says she either gets accused of being controlling or of treating Abigail like she’s invisible. Tim asks if she’d be willing to do something.

Back at the Morgan house, with the clearing up finished, Justin again tries to have the talk. Leah, however, doesn’t think it will make any difference, saying if there was anything she could say to convince him she trusts him then she’d have already said it. She suggests they just focus on her proving it every day. Justin seems to accept it.

Abigail is waiting round the back of the farm house. Levi hears a car coming and guesses it’s Tim. They go round the front and see Tim has brought Eden with him. He explains that there’s obviously some complex family dynamics at play so suggests a family counselling session.
