Extended Summary

Logan and Dean run into each other on the beach. Logan comments on the fact that he’s not seen much of Mackenzie recently because she’s always busy at work but thinks it’s evidence that business is booming. At the caravan park, Marilyn tries to dismiss Roo’s questions about rooting through the bins, saying she just dropped a ring. Roo insists she needs help and drags her away.

Roo takes Marilyn to the Diner flat. Logan says he was in the shower. Marilyn says they can leave if he’s busy but Logan says he’s got a lot of free time. Marilyn suggests he might not want to help her after the hospital tribunal but Logan is happy to help out. Later, he takes Marilyn’s blood pressure, while also asking Roo about Martha, but when he asks her questions, including whether she’s been getting any more headaches or pins and needles, she is quick to make her excuses and say she has to get to work.

At the garage, Ziggy is continuing to teach Theo. Justin suggests Leah just wanted to know what to have for dinner. Theo says that a part they were waiting on came in yesterday so he’s going to go and get it. Later, Justin admits to Ziggy that he told Leah about Theo’s challenges. Ziggy says they were on the internet anyway but Justin explains Theo asked him not to. Ziggy takes a phone call and tells Justin that the part Theo went for has actually only just came in, meaning he lied.

Soon after, Justin is at home leaving Theo a voicemail. Leah appears and Justin greets her warmly but then has to admit that Theo’s bag and some of his clothes have gone. Meanwhile, Roo takes Logan to the Diner. Irene asks Marilyn to help her with a pie but instead Marilyn goes over to Roo and Logan and accuses them of spying on her. They simply order coffees. Irene asks Marilyn what’s going on and Marilyn tells her to mind her own business. Irene retorts that it is her business.

Justin rings round and learns Ryder hasn’t seen Theo, while Leah says he isn’t answering his phone. Justin admits Theo was nervous about seeing Dimitri but thought they were getting on well. Leah says there’s something she needs to tell him. Meanwhile, Theo is parked by the beach. Ziggy knocks on the window and gets in the car with him. She asks if he’s going somewhere. Theo isn’t sure: He tried leaving and this was as far as he got. He says there’s always somewhere to go but he won’t go back to his parents. Ziggy says Leah’s back. Theo says he doesn’t want to leave but doesn’t know how to stay.

Marilyn brings Roo and Logan takeaway coffees and tells them to leave. Logan suggests they finish the examination after her shift. Marilyn wants them to go and tells Irene they’re watching her. She threatens to call the police. Irene suggests Roo and Logan leave. Later, Roo and Logan are discussing the incident outside. Irene appears and asks what’s going on. They tell her that Marilyn’s been having mood swings again. Logan says she might just need her medication adjusting but he needs to examine her first.

Leah comments that this wasn’t the homecoming she imagined. Theo turns up with Ziggy and they ask where he went. Theo says he’d rather talk about Leah’s trip. Leah sits him down and says she said nothing to Dimitri about his community service. Theo thinks she bought something Dimitri said about him. Leah says he just doesn’t want to reconnect with Theo. This causes Theo to relax somewhat. Later, Leah comments on there being nothing but pizza in the house. Theo happily tucks into it, pleased he can stay with Leah and Justin. He goes to unpack and Leah, Justin and Ziggy all express confusion at Theo’s reaction to the rejection.

Irene and Marilyn are having a meal at the beach house, since Jasmine and Cash are out. Marilyn notes Jasmine’s lost her entire family now. Irene asks Marilyn how she is. Marilyn again tries to place the blame on Roo and Logan but Irene prompts her to admit the signs are there. Marilyn says she’s done something stupid. Meanwhile, Ziggy arrives home. She comments on Dean’s good mood. Dean says Jai rang and made the juniors team. Ziggy says everyone does. Dean is planning to buy him some new footy boots. Ziggy says he’s a great dad.

Marilyn goes round to see Logan at his flat. She says the pins and needles and mood swings are happening again. Logan says it could just mean adjusting her medication. Marilyn admits she threw it away, saying she felt embarrassed about needing to take a pill just to feel normal. Logan advises her to see her specialist in the morning. Back at the beach house, Irene is on the phone, filling someone in on Marilyn. A young man knocks on the back door and Irene answers it. He asks if Jasmine’s there and says he’s Xander, her brother.
