Ryder and Theo agree to a partnership. Cash finds himself in a moral dilemma. Felicity believes someone is framing her.
Extended Summary
Theo shows Ryder and Chloe the video of Ryder reacting to being locked in the car boot. They are shocked that he posted it online and want him to take it down, but Theo says they’re missing the point: He’s monetised it and got nearly 50,000 views. Chloe points to a comment wondering why anyone would think it was funny to lock someone in the car boot but Theo points to someone hoping the “legends” post something else. He gets a text from Leah and leaves them to think about it. Chloe suggests he might have a point. At the caravan park, Darren is escorting Felicity to the car. Felicity breaks free and runs to Cash and Jasmine. Cash tells her to go with the police. He wants to go as well but Darren says it’s a conflict of interest and he has to stay behind.
In the interview room, Felicity is reluctant to talk without Cash there but insists the sedatives aren’t hers. An officer brings in a toxicology report confirming the sedatives were the ones used on Tane, which Darren says links her to attempted murder and grievous bodily harm. Felicity insists she’s being framed but Darren is unconvinced that there’s someone who hates both her and Tane. He asks her what she knows about organophosphates. Back at the caravan park, Cash rings the station to check on her. He tells Jasmine he’s going to the station but she stops him. Cash curses himself for burning the receipt, saying he compromised himself and got it wrong. Jasmine advises him to stay out of it.
Next morning, Jasmine asks Cash if he got any sleep. Cash thanks her for staying over and offers her a lift home. At that point, Felicity and Anne draw up in the car. Cash asks what happened and if she was charged but Felicity feels abandoned and says she’s having a shower. She asks Anne to wait for her. Later, Cash, Jasmine and Anne are sat outside the caravan, with Anne saying Felicity was in a state when she called her from the station. Felicity emerges from the van but brushes aside Cash’s claim that he’s on her side and heads off with Anne.
At the Diner, Justin tells Leah that Theo has volunteered to clean out the office. Alf comes in and tells them Martha isn’t handling dialysis well. Leah says she’s going to drop in and see Marilyn later. Theo gets a text from Ryder but says he’ll meet him later. Leah gives Justin a pointed look and Justin tells Theo he can go now. Theo meets Ryder on the beach. Ryder says he’ll do it but there are conditions: No-one gets hurt and they split the profits 50/50. Theo suspects Chloe talked him into it and comments on Ryder blowing it with her. Ryder says that’s another condition: No winding him up over Chloe. They shake hands.
Ryder and Theo go inside and tell Chloe they want her input: They’ve come to an agreement but need her for ideas. Chloe cautiously takes a break. Once they’re on the pier, Chloe is surprised that Ryder has agreed to Theo’s idea that they film challenges and upload them but volunteers her services to do the filming. They are short on ideas of what to do first though.
Cash goes to the police station despite not being on duty and asks Darren for an update. Darren warns him that being associated with Felicity could damage her career. Cash says she’s more important. Darren tells him about the toxicology report and to be a brother since he can’t be a cop on this. At the surf club, Felicity complains to Anne about Cash. Jasmine comes in and asks to speak to Felicity; Anne goes to pay for her drink. Jasmine says to blame her for stopping Cash going to the station. She says Cash has already compromised himself for her and Felicity retorts that she didn’t ask him to burn the receipt, just as Anne returns. She calls it too little, too late.
At the Diner, Theo mocks Ryder’s suggestion of an assault course while Ryder is equally dismissive of Theo’s suggestion they run over parked cars. Chloe eventually steps in, telling them to write down five ideas each and they’ll pull one out of a hat. Up in Salt, Anne brings Felicity a juice. She asks about the receipt Felicity mentioned and Felicity snaps that it’s none of her business then apologises. Darren comes in. Even though he doesn’t say anything, they decide to go.
Outside, Jasmine tells Cash about trying to talk to Felicity and also reveals that she mentioned the burnt receipt in public. Felicity and Anne come out and start to walk away. Cash chases after her but Felicity tells him she needs a cop, not a brother, and he’s failed on both counts. Cash and Jasmine go up to Salt where Darren stops them and asks Cash if he knows anything about the latest post on the #ToxicFelicity thread: “The cops need to look into the burnt pesticide receipt.”
Felicity and Anne have returned to her van. Felicity says it’s all Tane’s fault and she’d never be in this mess if she hadn’t met him. Anne says he’s messed both of them about. Felicity wonders what he did to Anne and she reminds her of what he said to her at the club. Felicity suddenly notices the post about the receipt and realises Anne was the only person who could have heard that, meaning it’s all her. Anne smiles and dares her to prove it.
