Extended Summary

Colby arrives back at the flat and Dean asks how work was. Colby observes that there must be something wrong for him to ask that but tells him about entering traffic infringements. Ziggy appears and tells Colby she’s used up the hot water but he won’t have to worry about that for long as she’s moving back home. Colby is left nonplussed as Dean and Ziggy head off to bed. At the Stewart house, Roo has filled Alf and Martha in on what’s happened, including Ben and Maggie splitting up. She points out she told Alf about Leah. Alf doesn’t fully understand that no-one wanted him to run back from his honeymoon. Martha says that he could only have supported people and he can do that now.

At the beach house, Irene and Willow discuss the fact that Jasmine is holed up in her room and doesn’t appear to have gone to work. Jasmine emerges for a drink of water. Willow suggests they go out for a drink or watch a movie together but Jasmine just goes back to bed. She sits in her room, looking at photos of herself with Robbo and Grace. Next morning, Colby and Willow have just finished a session at the surf club. Colby asks about Jasmine, who he is still determined to keep his distance from. Seeing Dean, he tries to quiz him about Ziggy moving out, asking if they’ve had a fight. Dean refuses to discuss it, excusing himself to do a grommets lesson.

Ziggy and Maggie run into each other outside the Diner. Ziggy tells Maggie she’s going to move back in, since she only moved out because she was angry with her. Maggie is pleased and gives her a hug. Soon after, in the Diner, she fills in Roo, noting the house has been empty. She leaves to get Ziggy’s room ready. Justin comes in for takeaway and tells Leah he’ll meet her after work. Alf and Martha arrive and Justin says a brief hello to them before Irene and Leah welcome them back. Alf tells Leah he was relieved to hear she was safe.

Dean runs into Ben outside the surf club after the lesson and Ben asks him to help with a stock order. Ziggy appears and asks Ben how he’s going at the motel and if there’s any chance of him moving back home. She says Maggie isn’t coping as well as him and mentions moving back in. Dean excuses himself, saying he’ll get breakfast. Ben notes that he thought Ziggy was happy living with Dean. Ziggy says she was but it was only meant to be temporary. Dean runs into Willow and Colby at Salt and they ask him why Ziggy’s moving out. Dean says it was only ever meant to be temporary and she’s helping Maggie. They suggest he tell her he doesn’t want her to go but he refuses to put pressure on her.

At the Diner, Alf, Irene, Leah, Roo and Martha are all grouped together. Leah is relating her recovery from her ordeal. Alf again wishes he could have been there and Roo notes he’s cranky about not being informed but Leah says there’s nothing he could have done. They ask Alf and Martha about the honeymoon; Martha says Alf got them bogged and Alf says Martha tried to feed a crocodile. At the surf club, Dean, Colby and Willow come downstairs with Dean refusing to discuss things further. The others leave and Ben thanks Dean for looking after Ziggy, expressing surprise that she’s not moving in permanently. Dean simply asks for the afternoon off to help her pack.

Justin and Ziggy walk on the beach. Justin asks Ziggy how she feels about running the garage on her own for a couple of days next week. Ziggy is happy to do so and Justin says they’ll discuss it on Monday. Dean comes along and tells Ziggy he’ll help her pack. Meanwhile, Willow arrives home and tries to get Jasmine to go to the gym with her and do work. Jasmine says she can do everything there and rejects Willow’s suggestion of meeting people and having a work-out. Willow tries to get her to talk to Colby and tell him how she feels but Jasmine says Colby doesn’t want her around.

Maggie arrives at the surf club, en route to the gym. Ben asks how she is and Maggie mentions Ziggy moving back in. She stresses she didn’t pressure her. Ben accepts that but notes she seemed happy at Dean’s. Back at the flat, Dean and Ziggy finish packing. Ziggy notes she’s going to miss living there and Dean points out it was only meant to be a short-term thing and she wasn’t ready to move in when he asked her. Ziggy says she enjoyed it more than she expected and both admit they don’t want her to go. They hug.

Alf, Roo and Martha arrive home, chatting about Leah. Roo asks about honeymoon photos and Martha prepares to show some landscapes she took and is considering painting. Alf decides to head out again and goes to see Ben at the surf club. After chatting for a bit about the honeymoon, Alf notes he heard about Ben and Maggie. Ben admits it takes adjusting after twenty-odd years with the same woman but says he’s staying at the motel and seeing his counsellor. He suggests going for a cuppa and Alf says he’ll shout.

Dean and Ziggy are outside the Diner and Ziggy says to wait a couple of days then come over for dinner. Maggie arrives as Dean heads back to the flat and asks Ziggy if she likes living with Dean. Ziggy says she does, but it just kind of happened and Maggie needs company. Maggie says Ziggy shouldn’t worry about her and should live where she wants to. Ziggy heads back up to the flat and asks Dean if she can stay there, meaning they’d be officially living together. Dean jokes about having to check with Colby and Bella before they kiss.

Colby and Willow are getting drinks at Salt. Colby gets a text from Dean about Ziggy moving in. Willow notes they must have actually had a conversation. Colby realises she’s making a point and reiterates that he needs to get himself sorted before dealing with Jasmine. Willow says he could let them support each other instead of pushing her away. Meanwhile, Justin arrives at the Diner to pick up Leah. They tell Irene they’re going to Salt, since they haven’t had a proper date in forever, and head home to get changed. Willow arrives and gets a text from Jasmine asking when she’ll be home. She and Irene both note Jasmine needs company: She’s only getting an hour here or there with Grace, and Marilyn is babysitting today even though Jasmine’s free. Willow mentions trying to talk to Colby.

Colby arrives back at the flat. He fiddles with his phone, hovering over Jasmine’s contact details, before eventually calling her and asking if she’s free to talk.
