Extended Summary

Willow is finishing up a class near the beach. Irene joins her and asks if Leah came into the gym, saying she hasn’t heard from her since yesterday afternoon and that’s unusual. Willow asks about Tori and learns she had a good night. At the hospital, Justin brings Grace out to Robbo and Jasmine and tells them that Tori is disorientated and doesn’t recognise Grace as her baby. Alex assures him it’s not that unusual. Robbo offers to go back in with her and try and explain. Mason, who was sitting with Tori, leaves them alone. Robbo tells Tori how he and Jasmine have been looking after Grace. Tori insists her daughter is a newborn. Robbo tries to point out it’s been six weeks but Tori says she feels nothing for that baby and asks Robbo to bring hers back.

At the Diner, Irene serves Willow and notes she hasn’t got hold of Leah yet. Willow is meant to be meeting Alex for lunch and notes things are easier now Colby and Dean know. Alex then rings saying she has to stay at the hospital. Irene asks if Leah’s at the hospital and Willow checks: She isn’t. At the hospital, Robbo brings Grace back out. Alex tells Justin and Mason that Tori will be assessed that morning. Robbo says he and Jasmine will take Grace home for a sleep, since there’s no point in her being there, and Justin reluctantly agrees.

Jasmine and Robbo walk with Grace near the beach. Robbo says it’s like Tori won’t accept six weeks have passed. He says he never predicted this and worries what will happen if Tori never wants anything to do with Grace. Jasmine says she’ll be all right even if that happens. She suggests they go for lunch at the Diner but Robbo says he’ll just go for a walk. Shortly after, Jasmine runs into Willow near the surf club. She explains that Tori’s doing better than expected physically but has rejected Grace, noting she can’t imagine someone not loving her. Willow points out not so long ago Jasmine said she didn’t want children and reflects on the double-edged sword of Tori coming round. Jasmine says her health is the priority.

Outside the Diner, Irene leaves Leah a rather frantic phone message before sharing her worries with Alf and Marilyn. Alf admits he hasn’t seen Leah but suggests Roo might have. Irene says Leah never said she wasn’t coming in to work yet she isn’t at the hospital. Alf continues to be dismissive. Later, Marilyn tells Irene that Roo hasn’t seen Leah. Irene is on the verge of phoning Leah’s family. She initially decides to wait a bit, noting it would be typical if she’s just gone to Yabbie Creek for a haircut, but after a moment’s reflection decides to ring round.

Jasmine arrives back at the flat, tidying up toys and baby clothes. She then takes the memory book and a stack of photos. Meanwhile, Robbo arrives at the gym with Grace. Willow is surprised he isn’t at the hospital with Tori. She asks if the move to the farm is off the table. Robbo accuses her of only being worried about her promotion but apologises after she replies that she’s worried about him and Jasmine. Robbo then gets a call from Jasmine.

Jasmine and Robbo turn up at the hospital with the memory book. Jasmine explains to Tori what it is. Tori is reluctant to look but Jasmine convinces her to take the book and she and Robbo wait outside. Justin and Mason encourage Tori to look at the photos, with Justin suggesting she doesn’t want to admit she’s missed out on so much. Tori looks at the photos and says she’s missed so many firsts. Justin says she’s got a lifetime with Grace. He heads out into the corridor and tells Robbo and Jasmine that it worked, thanking Jasmine. After she’s gone, Justin stops Robbo and asks if he’s told his parents about the change of plans. Robbo doesn’t think it’s the time and says Tori isn’t ready but Justin maintains that the custody agreement is in place and he needs to hand Grace back to Tori when it’s time.

Tori is looking after Grace as Mason, Justin, Jasmine and Robbo crowd around. Jasmine suggests giving Robbo and Tori some time alone with her. Tori asks Robbo if they’re safe. Robbo says it’s all over: Lance and Scott are fine, the trial’s in a week and the people who were after him are going away for a long time. Tori thanks him for everything and he says he’ll always be there for her and Grace. Later, Robbo and Jasmine look after Tori at the flat and Robbo notes he’s going to have to bite the bullet and call his parents. Jasmine suggests they could take Grace for holidays at the farm but admits it’s not the same.

Alex gives Tori a check-over and thanks her for getting Mason his internship. Alex notes she owes Tori for getting her the job and Tori reflects that she still has leave to spend with Grace. Tori tells Justin he’s not spending the night there again. He ignores a call from Irene, thinking she just wants an update. Tori tells him to go and give her one in person and bring back ice cream, also telling Mason to get her some water as Willow turns up and hears Alex and Mason discussing Alex’s next contract. Out on the wharf, Alf and Marilyn try to reassure Irene. Alf says he’ll ask Roo and Martha but Marilyn says they’ve already done that. Irene says she’s phoned everyone she can think of and left a message with Justin. Marilyn tries to convince herself that Leah’s at the hospital but Irene worries that she could be lying injured in a ditch.

Willow and Alex are at Salt. Willow is in a concerned mood and asks Alex what Tori recovering means for her. Alex says her contract only covers Tori’s maternity leave so she’ll finish as soon as Tori’s ready to come back. She assures her she’ll be all right but Willow continues to look worried. Meanwhile, Justin joins Irene and Marilyn at the Diner. Irene asks if he’s seen Leah. Justin says he’s been at the hospital with Tori since the transfer; Leah wasn’t there but he assumed she was working. Irene tells him that Tori’s been missing since yesterday afternoon.
