Will Tommy stand Bella up? Robbo offers to track down Jasmine’s father. Tori is anxious about having to meet Robbo’s parents.
Extended Summary
Jasmine and Robbo arrive back at the Diner flat. Robbo apologises for not realising what was going on with her, after what she said to the counsellor. Jasmine says she just needed to process it before talking to him and has made peace with it. Meanwhile, Bella is still waiting at the bus stop: It is now 12.39. Raffy comes along and wonders if she’s off to a party. Bella tells her about the exhibition and that she’s going with a friend. Raffy wonders if it’s a real friend or an online one. Bella says it’s someone from her year. Raffy offers to wait with her and admits she’s not sure where she and Ryder are at the moment.
Justin tells Tori and Leah that Ava is still heartbroken about Brian leaving but Nina has agreed to her visiting more often. He checks how Tori’s doing and learns about her missing the dinner. Tori suggests letting Ava redecorate Raffy’s room and also wants to look at paint colours for the baby’s room. Later, Tori complains to Justin about the colours having names like “xanadu pink”. She asks his opinion on the two colours she’s narrowed it down to: He can’t tell the difference and she isn’t sure either. Robbo turns up with lunch and Justin quickly takes the opportunity to bail and see Leah at the Diner. Tori checks Robbo’s parents understand the situation and he admits they don’t really but tries to reassure her. She asks his opinion on the two colours but he can’t see a difference either.
At the Diner, Irene tells Leah and Roo about finding out what Bella was up to and is relieved she’s stayed where she is. Jasmine turns up and Irene gives her a package which contains the ingredients for the party favours. Leah and Roo quickly volunteer to help out. Jasmine tells Irene she spoke to Robbo. Later, Marilyn turns up and is pleased to see Leah, Roo and Jasmine working on the favours. Jasmine says she needs to write the place cards, drop off table arrangements and redo Robbo’s seating plan. She is convinced to leave things to them. Justin appears and gets roped into helping out with the party favours.
Raffy is complaining to a bored Bella about not being able to spend any time with Ryder. Bella tries to convince her to go and wake him, but is also forced to conclude her friend isn’t turning up. Tommy (identifiable by his ring) pulls up in his car nearby, watching the two girls and checking Bella’s photo on his phone. Raffy convinces Bella to come for a milkshake. Tommy drives after them…and then past, only briefly glancing at them. As they approach the Diner, Raffy asks Bella about her friend, saying she’s probably seen him around school. Bella says it’s none of her business and she doesn’t feel like hanging out.
Robbo gets a text from Jasmine saying “At home. All under control”, followed by one about getting his suit. Tori offers help from the couch. She can tell he’s thinking about something. He says he wants to be enough for Jasmine. Tori is disappointed when he leaves. At the Diner, Irene and Roo watch Justin helping Leah with the favours and note that it must be love. Raffy comes in and apologises to Bella, saying she was just worried about her. Bella assures her everything’s fine.
Jasmine is writing out the place cards and pauses wistfully at the ones for Robbo’s parents. Robbo turns up and suggests he could track her dad down once everything’s settled, telling her to think about it. They kiss but Jasmine notes the place cards still need to be done. Robbo calls Tori and asks her to do them. Tori is delighted at having something to do, although she warns her handwriting’s awful. Robbo and Jasmine kiss again.
Later, the pair are in bed. Jasmine says the next time they see each other she’ll be walking down the aisle, unless he stays tonight. Robbo reminds her it’s bad luck to see each other on the morning of the wedding. They exit the room, still kissing, as Bella arrives home. Robbo leaves. Jasmine asks Bella if she’s sorted out her dress for tomorrow and gets a blunt yes, prompting Jasmine to go and call the florist. Bella messages Tommy asking what happened. Tommy replies that his car battery was flat and his phone out of charge, offering to pick her up now. Bella says the exhibition closes soon. Tommy says it’s the last day tomorrow and asks if she can get out of the wedding.
Tori is finishing her work. Justin asks Leah if she’s staying the night and she says she has to sort out her outfit for tomorrow. Tori goes into a panic, realising she doesn’t have anything that will fit her. Justin asks about what she’s wearing and Tori says she wants to look like a responsible adult for Robbo’s parents. Leah says she’ll check Tori’s wardrobe and if there’s nothing suitable there, she’ll buy something from Yabbie Creek tomorrow. Tori says she wants to be like Leah when she grows up. Justin says he does too.
Irene checks on Jasmine in her room. Jasmine is looking at the photo of herself and her dad and mentions Robbo’s offer. She thinks her father could have tracked her down. She thanks Irene for giving her a home. Irene heads off to bed and Jasmine answers a call from Robbo. She says she thought about his offer but it’s not a path she wants to go down at the moment.
Next morning, Jasmine wakes up with a smile, looking out the window. In his own flat, Robbo looks at his suit, a photo of his children and the wedding rings. Irene asks Bella if she’s still angry with her. Bella says she isn’t but might have a headache. Jasmine appears in her gym gear, intending to have a run before the wedding. Robbo similarly gets tooled up for a run.
Jasmine is running on the beach and Robbo on the grass…until Jasmine comes up from the beach and they almost literally run into each other. They quickly cover and close their eyes, remembering it’s bad luck to see each other, although they remain in good spirits. Jasmine suggests they both turn and run back the way they came, although she can’t resist looking back at him and seeing him similarly peaking at her.
