Extended Summary

Jasmine hurries back into the flat. Robbo follows, looking for his sketch. Jasmine suggests he goes to see Tori and asks if she’s already got a cradle before making it. She also says they’re done with the wedding list and she has errands to run, hurrying off. Robbo goes to the Morgan house and finds Leah and Justin: Tori has been called into work. He asks if Tori has bought a cradle. They say she’s been too busy trying to narrow it down and, when he explains, note he’d be doing them a favour by taking the decision away from her. Robbo suggests he makes a changing table and dresser too so they match.

Marilyn complains John isn’t listening to her but John says he is, he just isn’t agreeing. Marilyn says Jett wanted independence but John says the reality is he needs help with basic stuff. Marilyn says she speaks to Jett on the phone and he seems fine, suggesting John wants to feel needed and there are people who need him here. John walks away from her. Later, at the Diner, Marilyn complains to Alf and Roo that her opinion doesn’t seem to matter to John. She admits Jett would miss John if he wasn’t there but he seems fine and happier and she doesn’t think it’s a front. She wonders what she should do. Alf walks out looking purposeful.

Leah and Justin finish cleaning Brody and Ziggy’s old cottage. Justin reflects on how it used to be a happy home and will probably end up as a junk room. Leah says that Brody’s happy and maybe Tori and the baby will move in there. They decide to go for a walk. Meanwhile, Roo joins Jasmine on the wharf and says she’s been watching her. Jasmine explains about Robbo saying he wanted children and says they’ve never talked about it before and she assumed he wouldn’t. She isn’t sure that she does since there’s things she wants to do with her life, even though she’ll be there for Robbo and Tori’s baby. Roo advises her to talk to Robbo, advising they sort it before heading down the aisle. Jasmine is worried how he’ll react.

John is on the phone to Jett at the surf club, saying he’ll be there for his next appointment and that Marilyn’s fine with it. Alf has turned up during the conversation and tells John that Marilyn’s in bits and accuses him of giving her an ultimatum. John says Jett needs him but Alf says Marilyn and Raffy do too. John accepts that but says it feels like he’s being asked to choose between his wife and his son. He maintains that Jett needs support with the day to day stuff while he focuses on rehab. Alf tells him to talk to Marilyn. Meanwhile, Justin and Leah walk on the beach and come across Ben and Maggie. Justin asks after Ziggy, who’s on study leave. Ben says she’s better since Brody left town. After an awkward pause, Justin goes for a swim and Ben also leaves. Leah says Justin’s missing Brody but Maggie replies that Ziggy’s better off without having to see Brody and Simone.

Marilyn serves Jasmine at the Diner and asks about her wedding plans. She recalls her own wedding day to John, surrounded by their friends and family, Jett asking them to adopt him, and how she knew it would be forever. John has come in while she’s been talking and says he thinks of the day often and how he was the luckiest man alive. Outside, Jasmine encounters Robbo, who explains about his expanded plans for baby furniture, saying he’ll need more wood. Jasmine tells him he freaked her out by saying they were going to have children, saying she doesn’t feel the need to have them. She understands if it’s a deal breaker and leaves him to think.

John and Marilyn are on the wharf. Marilyn has accepted that he needs to get back to Jett while John has accepted that they made a commitment to Raffy. He notes that what’s really needed is one of them in each place, so suggests Marilyn stays with Raffy while he commutes to Jett. Marilyn isn’t too keen on being long distance but agrees. Later, at the Diner, Alf and Roo chat to John and Marilyn as Marilyn gives John a hamper for him and Jett. They both accept that this is the best thing for now, even though they’re going to miss each other. Robbo looks on during their farewell.

Leah and Justin are relaxing outside the Morgans’ house. Justin is disappointed at the way things went with Ben earlier, saying he thought they were mates. Leah suggests Justin needs to make the first move but Justin says he’s already done that. At the farm house, Maggie admits to Ben that she was rude to Leah earlier. She comments on Justin missing Brody but Ben doesn’t think Justin deserves their sympathy. Maggie says he was in a difficult position and reminds Ben they were friends. Ben says he doesn’t trust him.

Robbo arrives to see Jasmine at the beach house. Jasmine apologises for running off and Robbo asks her to tell him slowly. Jasmine repeats that she doesn’t want children, recalling that he once said he didn’t want any more. Robbo says she might change her mind but he’s got her and a baby on the way and that’s enough for him. They kiss. Next morning, Maggie meets Leah on the beach. She apologises for yesterday and says she’s hoping Justin and Ben can be friends again. Leah agrees they’re as stubborn as each other. Maggie suggests they give them some help.

A young woman, Mackenzie, enters Salt and walks around, smiling. She removes the Sold sign and notes that this is going to be fun.
