Extended Summary

Ziggy is packing up her tent. Paul and Tanya appear and ask when they’re getting started. Ziggy says Dean’s still asleep (in fact, he is sitting in his tent listening). The couple are surprised to hear Ziggy and Dean went to bed soon after them, since they seemed to be set up for a long one. After they’ve gone, Dean emerges but Ziggy says they need to get going. Later, as they’re driving, Dean tries to talk to Ziggy, with them respectively turning the music up and down in attempts to end or continue the converation. Ziggy eventually asks Dean what he was thinking when he kissed her. Dean says that’s what he wants to ask her but Ziggy tells him not to confuse her.

Colby runs after Bella, trying to get her to come away, but she keeps walking towards the police station, which an officer comes out of. Colby goes back to the car, saying he’s leaving with or without her. Bella looks between him and the police station before finally going with him. As they drive, he reminds her he wanted to hand himself in and she stopped him. Bella says maybe she shouldn’t have done. Colby stops the car and walks away, asking her what she wants of him. Bella says he shot her dad and Colby retorts that he deserved it. Bella asks how she can believe him that everything will be okay and says she doesn’t blame Dean for wanting a new life.

Ziggy and Dean are driving in silence but Ziggy asks if Dean can smell something, wondering if he left food out. She insists he pull over and now Dean can smell it too. As they walk round, Paul and Tanya pass and note there’s shrimps on the barbie. Ziggy twigs and opens the bonnet: There is seafood resting on the engine. Dean retrieves it but bumps into Ziggy, resulting in them both getting covered with it. They head to a nearby lake to clean off only to find the area around it in impenetrable mud that they are soon knee deep in it. They relocate to an improvised shower hanging from a tree. Dean cleans himself and apologises for getting the signals wrong. As Ziggy takes his place, she says he didn’t read them wrong: She wanted him to kiss her but when he did she felt uncomfortable. She asks him to hand her the soap…then pulls him in with her. They kiss again and disappear out of view.

Justin and Leah walk up from the beach, with Justin inviting Leah to come to Yabbie Creek with him to get stuff for Raffy’s party and them discussing the effort Brody and Simone have put in. They pass Jasmine, who calls out to Robbo, inviting him to join her for a coffee. He says he has things to do. In fact, he meets Aiden near the headland. He says they could have met in his office but Aiden says then they wouldn’t have the view. He wonders why Robbo called him and Robbo says he wants to be the man Jasmine deserves. As they walk on the beach, Robbo says that taking risks got his family killed but Aiden stresses that Robbo didn’t kill them.

Colby asks Bella if she’s going to go to the police or if they’re going to go home. He suggests things have gone too far: He might have handled things differently with Ross if he’d known they’d be here but she can’t threaten dobbing him in to get her own way. He says families don’t exist on fear. Bella suggests that makes him a hypocrite. Colby says things have to change. Meanwhile, Ziggy and Dean are dressed and Ziggy acknowledges things are weird: They haven’t even finished the rally yet, then they have to go home and her life’s a train wreck. Dean kisses her and says he’s a master at making bad decisions. They kiss again but Ziggy says they have to get going. She takes great delight in catching up and overtaking Paul and Tanya.

Dean and Ziggy draw up at the race stop. Dean notes they just about came last but Ziggy only wanted to finish in front of Paul and Tanya, who are soon drawing up. Ziggy wryly comments on the prank but agrees with Tanya saying she should have stopped for them on the first day. They head to join in a group photo and see Colby and Bella pull up. Back in town, Jasmine finds her engagement ring again and puts it on. Meanwhile, Robbo tells Aiden he’s had difficulty getting over his past. Aiden tells him to stop pretending Ryan Shaw was a different person: His past experiences made him the person Jasmine fell in love with.

Ziggy brings drinks from out of the pub and leaves Colby and Dean to chat. Colby tells Dean about Bella threatening to go to the police. He implies that her erratic behaviour is similar to Ross but Dean dismisses the comparison. Colby decides to go and book her some accommodation for the night, saying he can sleep in the car if necessary. Dean goes over to Bella and tells her if she does go to the police she can put his name on the list since he was there with Colby. Later that evening, Colby walks among people dancing to a band, including Paul and Tanya. Bella is alone by the stage but he doesn’t go over to her. Ziggy and Dean are round the corner. Ziggy says she doesn’t want to go back to reality yet so suggests they stick around and carry on with the rally. They kiss again; Colby sees them and sighs.

Jasmine gets her lunch before preparing to head into work. Robbo comes to the door behind her and she hastily removes the ring before he can see it. He tells her about seeing Aiden and that he wants to be with her. Jasmine shows him the ring, saying she’s been remembering how happy she felt when he gave it to her. She asks him to marry her and he places the ring on her finger.
