Robbo struggles with his grief. Tori is confident that she and Robbo will try again. Ziggy is irked by Brody and Simone’s closeness.

Extended Summary

Robbo is alone in the Diner flat, lost in his thoughts. He sits, paces and eventually punches a wall just as Jasmine turns up. She bandages the hand; Robbo doesn’t answer when she asks if it hurts but does confirm he saw Tori. Jasmine asks if she can do anything else but Robbo again doesn’t answer. Only when she says she’ll check on him tomorrow does he ask her to stay.

Tori returns home to be greeted by Buddy and also by Mason, Brody and Ziggy. She tells them she’ll be okay and apologises to Mason for dismissing him. Justin turns up; he was meant to be gone another day but says he didn’t feel right staying away. Later, he regales Brody, Mason and Ziggy with stories of Ava, saying she misses everyone and is trying to get Nina to get a dog like Buddy. He hasn’t heard from Willow. Brody goes to answer a call from Simone; Ziggy is irritated by her but Justin and Mason think she’s passionate like Brody. Justin goes to see Tori in her room, saying he can see Ava another weekend and hasn’t told her about the pregnancy. He thanks Tori for helping him after his bender, saying Ava was a good distraction. He checks himself but Tori assures him he can talk about her.

Robbo is sat up, looking at the Book of Firsts that Jasmine bought and having flashbacks of his family. Jasmine emerges from the bedroom. Robbo says he was sure he was ready but Jasmine thinks it’s good that he was able to hope again. Next morning, Brody and Ziggy turn up at Salt. Simone arrives soon after and insists on helping with a delivery; they say they were planning to have coffee and Brody remembers how Simone takes hers. Simone says she’s bought a new set of knives; Ziggy jokes (or possibly not) about polishing spanners when she started work. Simone gets Ziggy to take a photo of her with Brody. Ziggy seems uncomfortable and decides to skip coffee but arranges to meet Brody for lunch.

Justin exits his room to join Tori and Mason. He offers to stay behind and let Ziggy handle the garage, while Mason similarly says Willow can cover for him at work. (He apologises to Justin who says it’s all right to mention her.) Tori tells them both to go. Before they do, she gets a call from the fertility clinic. Jasmine meets up with Robbo near the beach and suggests he go see the IVF counsellor again. Tori joins them and thanks Jasmine for looking after her yesterday before saying the clinic want to see them to discuss what happened and what to do next. Robbo says he has to work and, when she offers to reschedule, tells her to go without him. Both Tori and Jasmine are surprised he doesn’t want to go.

Alf comes into the Diner and Irene guesses that his good mood is because of the vote. Marilyn also turns up and Irene notes she isn’t rostered on; Alf guesses she’s trying to avoid John ranting about the meeting and thinks John will change his mind when he sees how it benefits the surf club. Tori comes in and they express their sympathies. Leah takes her outside and Tori notes it’s brought up a lot of memories for Robbo. She’s worried the clinic will tell her they can’t try again. Leah offers to go with her to the appointment.

Jasmine goes to see Robbo at the gym, suggesting they have lunch together and also saying Tori turned down her offer to go with her to the clinic. She suggests Robbo go but he says Tori will fill him in. Upstairs, Brody tells Simone he has a lot of prep to do before meeting Ziggy. Simone doesn’t think it’s fair he has to fit in around Ziggy. She offers to do the prep but Brody doesn’t think she’s ready.

Justin meets Mason at the Diner. Mason is worried about Robbo’s behaviour including not accompanying Tori to the clinic. Irene suggests he’s not a great conversationist and tells them Leah went with Tori. Justin goes to see Robbo at the gym, expressing his condolences but also suggesting Tori could do with Robbo’s support, saying she was there for him when no-one else was.

Ziggy turns up at Salt but Brody tells her he’s too busy for lunch. Ziggy thinks it’s because he’s helping Simone but he says the sous chef has called in sick so there’s no-one to take over. Despite this, Ziggy describes Simone as needy, unaware she’s in earshot. Ziggy apologises but is put out when Brody tells Simone that Ziggy doesn’t know anything about cooking. Meanwhile, Leah drops Tori off at the Morgan house and Justin thanks her. Tori says they can transfer the second embryo in a few weeks and she’s texted Robbo to let him know.

Robbo is in his office when Jasmine turns up to check his bandage. He tells her about the text from Tori and thinks she’ll want to use the second embryo. Jasmine observes that was always the plan but Robbo says he can’t go through it again…ever. At Salt, Brody is ushering the staff out and tells Mason he’ll be home soon. Simone comes in, full of energy, and insists on helping him in the store room. While putting something on the top shelf, she knocks the sliding door closed. Brody says it’s a dead lock and they’re locked in.

Justin and Mason discuss Tori and Robbo; Justin thinks they should trust Tori since she knows Robbo best. He goes to pick up Raffy. Ziggy asks Mason what Brody said and thinks he’s clearing up after Simone. Mason says Simone’s the only fan Brody’s ever had and will be gone in four weeks. Ziggy doesn’t want to interfere by calling him again. In the store room, Brody and Simone realise neither of them has their phone and there’s no spare keys to hand. Brody also thinks Ziggy won’t find him staying back late unusual. Simone starts to panic and Brody tries to calm her.
