Extended Summary

Outside the Diner, Jasmine notes she just wanted to be a friend to Robbo and was surprised that he had feelings for her. Irene says they’re on the same page now but Jasmine is uncertain, saying things might not work out or he might not feel the same way. Irene encourages her not to second guess herself. Marilyn comes along and, on getting confirmation Jasmine and Robbo like each other, says she always knew they’d end up together. At the Morgan house, Robbo points out to Tori that he’s just bought a business in town and she’s not moving, meaning he’d see the child all the time and isn’t going to pretend not to be their father. It’s clear Tori hasn’t really thought about that. Justin and Willow come in and Robbo heads off to work. Willow attempts to call Dean while Justin quietly attempts to question Tori. Tori says she has to meet Leah for breakfast. Willow notes it might be the last time she and Tori see each other for a while.

Willow bangs on the door of Dean’s caravan and asks a passing Leah if she’s seen him. Leah hasn’t but says to tell him to stay away from Ryder since he has schoolwork. Willow goes inside and finds the van is a mess and Dean isn’t there. At the Diner, Alf pokes his head into the kitchen and asks Irene and Marilyn if they’ve seen Ryder; he took off first thing and Alf is worried he’s with Dean. Irene notes that might not be an option after today. Marilyn thinks Dean was just being kind and Irene says he’s not exactly a hardened criminal. Alf agrees but says he doesn’t tend to make good choices.

Willow finds Dean asleep on the beach and kicks him awake, saying they have to be at court in a few hours. Dean isn’t showing any signs of going, having been drinking alone. Willow gets him to his feet and says he needs to have a coffee and a shower. Meanwhile, Leah meets Tori at Salt and comments on Ryder causing trouble and how she thought she was done raising teenage boys. Tori explains what Robbo said. Leah is shocked but reminds her she said Robbo would make a decent father. Tori says she meant in the biological sense and isn’t sure what co-parenting would mean. Leah suggests she find out exactly what Robbo wants before dismissing it.

Willow tells Dean to wait outside the Diner while she gets the coffee. She runs into Robbo, who apologises for running out on her at work. Willow realises Dean has wandered off to the end of the pier. She chases after him and he tells her he’s enjoying his last hours of freedom. Willow refuses to leave him and insists he needs a shower, pushing him into the water to emphasise the point. Meanwhile, Tori arrives home and Justin comments on her spending time with Leah, saying it’s good to hear from someone who’s been a single mother. Tori bristles and asks if he thinks she can’t cope on her own, leaving him bemused. He wonders if Robbo said no. Tori dodges the question somewhat, reminding him he needs to get ready for court.

Robbo shows Willow and Dean into his flat; he’s happy for them to use it to get ready but can’t stay. Willow wonders what’s changed in Dean but he refuses to talk so she sends him into the shower. She calls Justin and tells him there’s a problem and, yes, it involves Dean. Soon after, Justin turns up, wondering what Willow’s doing there. He is less than impressed when Dean appears wearing only a towel. Dean says he doesn’t own a suit. Willow sends Justin to get one of Brody’s and tells Dean to put on some of Colby’s clothes for now. She dries off his phone and notices the call to his mum.

Jasmine is waiting at the gym with coffees when Robbo turns up. He accepts one and apologises for messing her about yesterday, before noting he was going to ask her advice on setting up self-defence classes. Jasmine agrees to talk in the office but looks somewhat flustered. Later, Jasmine is giving Robbo decent guidance, suggesting setting up a beginners and intermediate class, but clearly wants to be talking about something else. Just as she’s building up to it, Tori appears and asks to talk to Robbo. Robbo says they were just finishing and he and Tori go for a walk.

Robbo and Tori talk outside the surf club. Robbo says he wasn’t going to father a kid and just walk away, reminding her she thought he was loyal and looked out for people, and he’d do that for his kid. He doesn’t seem to think that one of them meeting someone else would be a problem and says there’s no secrets between them and she’d make an amazing mum. He leaves her to think about it. He goes back inside and runs into Jasmine. She says she’s there if he needs to talk but he thinks they should steer clear of the personal stuff.

Dean has got dressed and Willow tells him she saw the record of the call to his mother. Dean says she didn’t say much beyond hello before ringing off. Willow asks what he expected, saying his mother’s the one that’s made him feel worthless. Dean says he thought she might want to come to court to support him. It’s clear he’s still not keen on going. Willow sits down and says if he doesn’t go, neither does she. Back at the Morgan house, Tori has filled Justin in. Justin says she must have known it was an option and maybe she needs to rethink what she wants. Tori wonders why he has Brody’s suit. Justin says it’s a long story before adding that deciding to be a mum was a big decision in the first place. He gets a call from Willow and is exasperated to hear she’s at the caravan park.

Dean is sat on the steps of the caravan park drinking as Justin joins Willow. Justin firmly tells Dean that Willow has done all this to keep him out of trouble and he can’t let it be for nothing. Dean takes the suit and goes to get changed. Justin is angry that Willow was risking everything for Dean. At the Diner, Jasmine tells Irene that Robbo didn’t even give her a chance to tell him why she was there. Irene encourages her to have another go. Jasmine leaves, passing Leah. Irene cheerily tells Leah that Jasmine’s going to tell Robbo she has feelings for him. She apparently misses Leah’s horrified expression.

Outside on the beach, Robbo and Tori are chatting together. They note they’re going to have a baby and hug. Jasmine sees them and looks disappointed.
