Extended Summary

Ziggy continues to be against moving into the outhouse, pointing out the proximity to Brody’s family. Brody says it’s self-contained and was probably a granny flat once. He asks Ziggy to look at it again once he’s cleaned it up. Ziggy sort-of agrees but says she’s going to look for somewhere that’s closer to their standards. Meanwhile, Robbo is hitting a punchbag at the gym. Jasmine comes in and says hello to him, but he doesn’t notice her until she’s in his eyeline. She tells him not to break rhythm.

Colby and Willow are at the police station when Dean turns up. Colby ushers Willow into the interview room. He refuses to tell Dean what’s going on, saying if Dean has any information he should tell them, and if not he should shut up. Later, Colby is with Willow in the interview room waiting for another officer. Off the tape, he tells her they have the recording of her calling for an ambulance but he doesn’t think she knocked Alf over. However, credit card fraud is more her style. He asks if she was at Salt and if Dean was involved. The other officer comes in and Colby goes to begin the interview but Willow says she wants a lawyer.

Ziggy comes home and tells Ben and Maggie about Brody’s plan to move them into a flat, wondering if Ben can evict the guys from the Diner flat so they can have that. Maggie gives a half-serious whimper of distress but says she knew they’d do it one day and agrees to help look for somewhere else. Ben gets a text from Brody asking him to join him so leaves. Ziggy’s first find is close by but expensive. Ben arrives at the outhouse to find a pile of junk outside and Brody sweeping up inside. Ben notes it reminds him of his and Maggie’s first place. Brody thinks he shouldn’t have shown it to Ziggy before cleaning it and asks Ben to help with basic maintenance. Ben says Maggie isn’t happy about Ziggy moving out…but he knew why Brody called him there, so his tools are in the ute.

Maggie and Ziggy are continuing to find places that are out of the price range. Ziggy is dismissive, saying she’ll work extra shifts. Maggie says then they’d never see each other, and wryly notes that if Ziggy’s after somewhere perfect that’s good because she’ll never move out. Ziggy promises to come over and have fights with her once she’s gone. Meanwhile, Robbo has finished his session at the gym. Jasmine says she heard he took the job with Alf and credits herself on convincing him to. Robbo jokingly asks if she wants a medal and she agrees. He starts to say he’s grateful but Jasmine talks over him so he clams up.

Dean is still in reception as Colby tells another officer that Willow wants a lawyer. He lets Dean in to talk to her. Willow tells him about the call and berates him for using the cards. She says there’s no evidence linking her to that so she’ll just confess to pushing over Alf. However, when Colby comes back in, Dean announces he pushed Alf and did the credit card fraud. When they question the phone call, he says he told Willow when he got home. Colby tells Willow to talk sense into him. Left alone, Dean points out to Willow he did push Alf and use the credit cards. When Colby returns, he refuses to change his story. Colby tells Willow to wait outside. Dean will only say he did it to pay off a debt.

Brody shows Ziggy the cleaned up flat from the outside, then that the inside is cleaned up, de-infested and furnished. He’s also set up the kitchen bench and put a roast in the oven. Ziggy agrees she loves it and to stay for a night…or maybe until Christmas. Ben comes back and Ziggy guesses he had a hand in it but Ben says he just made trips to the tip. He watches her excitement with mixed feelings. Later, Ben consoles Maggie as Ziggy collects an overnight bag, saying she’ll be back for the rest tomorrow. After she’s gone, Ben looks on the bright side: More room on the couch, less people fighting over the remote and they can play their own music. He puts a track on and they dance to it, comforting each other.

Ziggy is relaxing on the bed in the new flat and comments on her mixed feelings about moving out of home. After a few hints, Brody joins her on the bed…and the curtain rail falls down. He blames Ben. Meanwhile, Colby runs into Robbo at Salt. He admits there’s trouble with Dean and maybe Willow. Robbo suggests that’s a conflict of interests. Colby argues that he took the case before he knew they were involved but Robbo says they expect him to get them out of trouble and he promised the tribunal he’d put the job first.

Dean is photographed at the police station. Willow asks Colby when he’ll be allowed home. Colby says that’s up to the magistrate and reveals he’s taken himself off the case. Willow protests that he’s supposed to be a friend but Colby tells her to go home. Later, Colby learns Dean has got bail. Dean is unimpressed with Colby’s lack of assistance. Colby says he’ll see him at home but Dean says he’s moving out: The two of them living together doesn’t work.

At the Diner, Irene comments to Jasmine that Robbo seems to be out and about more now. She drops hints about the nature of Jasmine’s interest in him. Jasmine points out she told everyone they’re just friends but Irene says that can change and is interested to hear that they laugh together. Later, Robbo comes in and invites Jasmine to dinner at Salt as a thank you. Jasmine says she’s just eaten but Robbo says he’ll be there and it’s up to her if she joins him. Jasmine agrees. As Robbo leaves, Irene gives Jasmine a pointed look while Jasmine looks undecided.
