Extended Summary

Justin and Tori are sat on the beach. Tori insists she still loves Ash. Justin says Tori just needs to let Ash sleep, surf and punch things and that he can’t stop thinking about what he’s lost. Tori isn’t that keen to drop it but has been called into work. Justin makes his way through a park area and Mason stops him, asking if Willow found him. Justin says it looked like Willow was too busy to care about him but refuses to elaborate further.

Olivia asks Irene how she found her. Irene says she figured Olivia would run to Axel so looked at places where he’d stay. Olivia testily says she slept on the couch, pointing to some folded up bed things. She says she didn’t want to see anyone because she knew they’d judge her. Irene changes tack, asking if she’s all right. At the farm house, Maggie is working in the gazebo, on the phone to Roo about sending over lesson plans. Ben reminds her she was meant to avoid stressing herself but Maggie says she’ll be more stressed if school goes back and they’re not ready. Ben offers to make dinner.

Willow greets Mason when he arrives back at the surf club, handing him the gym stuff and saying she’s going to go see Justin. Mason tries to dissuade her, mentioning Justin’s mood earlier. Willow says she’s fed up of waiting for him. At the Morgan house, Justin is with Buddy playing computer games when Willow knocks on the door. Justin says he’s busy and Willow points out he’s playing Grand Theft Auto with Buddy. Justin says he was on his way to see her and saw a woman giving her money. He doesn’t seem interested in finding out details so Willow leaves.

Olivia asks Irene when the funeral is. Irene says the day after tomorrow and Olivia says she won’t be there: She’s heading to Melbourne for a meeting with the Find before going to Paris. Irene is shocked she’s still going. Olivia says it’s just work. Irene wants her to talk to Hunter but Olivia says it won’t work between them and their problems are bigger than her cheating. Axel turns up and greets Irene in an overly cheerful manner. Irene asks if they’re an item. Axel says Olivia came to him and anything else isn’t his business or Irene’s. Olivia tells Irene to leave; Irene repeats that Hunter deserves better. She heads to the Diner where Tori asks if she’s seen Ash. Irene says he’s had a rough trot lately and agrees to keep an eye on him.

Ben brings out a tray of chicken soup and tells Maggie to put her laptop down. Maggie admits she doesn’t really feel like eating. She stands up but nearly faints, falling back against the standing. She says she feels dizzy and Ben says he’s taking her to the hospital. Soon after, a nurse looks Maggie over as Ben assures her he’s called the girls. Tori comes in and Maggie explains she was all right then suddenly felt queasy and light-headed, much like before. Tori says tests show she’s anaemic and feels her stomach and glands. She says she wants Maggie to stay in overnight and have a scan in the morning.

Olivia complains to Axel about Irene’s visit, saying Irene doesn’t recognise that she’s an adult and has made her choice. Axel agrees but suggests she might need to go back and see Hunter in order to move on. Olivia admits she’s worried that if she sees him then she’ll feel guilty and stay. Axel says that if she really has decided, nothing will change her mind. At the hospital, Tori assures Ben and Maggie that they’ll know more after the scan. Maggie tries to get Ben to go home but he insists on staying.

Willow is on the balcony at Salt and Justin is at home. They both look at their phones but neither makes the call. Justin says at least he’s got Buddy, just before the dog jumps off him. Next morning, Justin and Willow run into each other near the beach, both of them carrying two cups of coffee. They admit they were on their way to see each other and decide to ditch the coffees and talk.

Hunter is coming up from the beach and finds Olivia waiting for him. They go to the Diner where Irene says she’s glad Olivia came back. Olivia tells Hunter a lot’s changed for her in the past month, a lot of it down to him. She says she’s leaving the Bay: She’s going to Paris, then probably moving to Melbourne. Hunter says he’d go with her but Olivia says she can’t take him away from Summer Bay. Hunter realises she doesn’t even want to try having her dream and him, and tells her to go.

Justin and Willow walk on the beach. Willow admits she was being paid for a job but also turned down more work, and since Justin doesn’t like the honey traps she’s going to get out of it. She says she left him all the messages because she cares about him and gets him to admit he cares about her too. They head back to his, kissing passionately, and Justin carries her into the bedroom. Willow says it’s all new to her and Justin says there’s no rush.

Outside the Diner, Hunter and Olivia say their farewells. Axel pulls up and toots his horn; Hunter is suspicious but Olivia says he’s just giving her a lift. Hunter kisses her on the cheek and leaves. Irene appears and says she’s proud of her for coming back. Olivia says she didn’t tell Hunter about the cheating and Irene agrees to keep quiet. She hugs her goodbye and Axel loads Olivia’s cases into the car. He asks if she’s sure; she takes his hand and says 100%. Meanwhile, Mason and Jennifer are exiting the gym when they see Hunter. He says he just saw Olivia and doesn’t know what he expected. Mason suggests he eat with them. Hunter agrees and heads towards Salt but Jennifer suggests somewhere that doesn’t serve alcohol so they head for the Diner.

Maggie is on the phone to the girls, saying she’ll be home soon. Ben is frustrated that no-one’s told them the test results and wants to go find someone but Maggie tells him not to panic yet. At the Morgan house, Tori arrives home leaving a message for Ash. Justin comments on her definition of giving him space. Willow emerges from his room wearing one of his t-shirts and asks where the coffee is, getting awkward when she sees Tori. Before they can discuss it, Tori gets a call from work about Maggie’s results.

Tori joins Ben and Maggie and says the scan showed a mass in Maggie’s abdomen: They need to do a biopsy to see if it’s malignant. She admits she found signs of malignancy but says it’s not certain. However, when Maggie asks for worse case scenario, she admits it could be cancer.
