Episode 6728

Extended Summary

Scarlett rushes out into the water and pulls an unconscious Justin out of the water, managing to get him to shore where unable to feel a heartbeat she begins to resuscitate him. As she is doing this she has flashbacks to when she did this for a little boy, momentarily causing her to panic even more. Finally, he comes to, coughing up a mouth full of water. Scarlett manages to get to the hospital to get him checked out by Tori. Although he seems fine she still sends him to get an x-ray and head scan. Tori gives him a stern talking too, telling him her needs to be more careful and that he could have died. Meanwhile Mason is trying to make Scarlett feel better who is remembering when she tried to wake her son up only to find him not breathing causing her to try and resuscitate him as she screamed for help. Her revive is interrupted by Mason asking if she is ok and she leaves. Justin finds Scarlett and tries to reassure her that he is ok and realises that there is something more to this correctly guessing it’s about Max. Scarlett reveals that when Max feel from the tree there were not scratches or bruises so she didn’t take him to the hospital and the next morning he has passes away. Blaming herself for ‘letting him die’ she breaks down and Justin comforts her. He tells her there is no way she could have known but Scarlett thinks as his mother she should have know and reveals that’s why she split from her husband as things turned toxic. She believes she failed as his mother, not being able to protect him. Justin tells her she did the best she could ad that she needs to forgive herself. She apologises for crying saying that seeing him like that today triggered her and then says she can’t do ‘this’ right now as she is still such a mess. He agrees to be there for her saying he is ready when she is.

On the beach Kat leaving the water after a swim sees Robbo who is waiting for her next to her towel. He has come to return her the money she gave him when he tried to leave, repaying her now that he has a job. He asks if there have been any further leads on his case to which there hasn’t. Over coffee, Kat makes a call to see if any leads have come up for Robbo which finds them at another dead end. Robbo sees a distracted Scarlett at the caravan park and she updates him that she may have found a woman whom he may have been in a relationship with giving him a list. Kat comes home to find Robbo trying to use her computer and together they try to narrow down the list of people Scarlett gave him on the list. Kat and Robbo go to the first person on the list where Kat asks the women if recognises Robbo but she doesn’t crossing her off the list. At their second last house, no one seems to be home but determined Robbo doesn’t want to leave saying he is getting a feeling. Looking through the backyard they find the remains of a belt buckle and the remains of a photo of Robbo and a girl. It looks like someone deliberately tried to burn it. Kat has called the police for backup and they must wait for their arrival before entering. However, as Kat walks past an open window she can hear flies and catches a whiff of something foul. She decides to go in now saying something doesn’t feel right. As they enter they are hit with a horrible smell and discover the dead body of the women they were looking for.

At the hospital Mason runs into Beth having not seen her around recently. He asks if she wants to hang taking Beth by surprise that he sincerely wants to be around her. Seeing Mason’s earnestness, she agrees. Mason and Beth further bond over their mutual love of all tings Japanese and wanting to travel there one day. As Beth goes to leave she and Mason run into Tori. She makes a great impression on Tori. Mason has gone looking for Beth and discovers that she is a patient.
