Extended Summary

At the Astoni’s, Maggie is glad to see Ziggy who overhears her and Ben saying that she seems fine and much better. As she heads to her room, she receives a message from Brody and smiles. While hanging on the beach Ziggy is interrupted by Irene and Olivia who correctly guesses that its Brody who has elicited the change in her. Irene overhears worried about Brody. Ziggy tells Olivia that Brody has made her happy. As Justina and Brody talk about his impending date disaster Irene finds them and chastises him about being with Ziggy. She tells him that he needs to end this and end it now for both their sakes. Later at home Ziggy has arranged for Brody to come over and tries to convince her parents to leave the house to go patch up their problems on a beach. Once they leave she sneaks Brody inside and before he can say anything they start making out. Brody manages to tell her that although he likes he is still recovering and doesn’t want to hurt which she tells him eh wont. They both agree it’s probably for the best if they pause things for a while but as Brody goes to leave he both her and Ziggy fall back into each other’s arms. Brody is still worried about Ben and the timing of this but Ziggy says they can just keep it between them. As he is about to leave, the Astonis arrive home and almost catch Brody who can make a quick exit. Irene sees Brody and can tell from his smile that he and Ziggy haven’t broken up and asks her to keep it to herself which she agrees.

At the diner, Justin notices a change in Brody who walks in smiling. He tells him that he ran into Ben who doesn’t want him seeing Ziggy. He also tells him that he and Scarlett are going on a date and when he tells Brody his plan is to take her to a pub Brody quickly shuts that down. He suggests a nice restaurant instead, however Justin refuses to head his advice thinking he knows best. The next day when Justin tells Scarlett where he is taking her she seems a little unsure about it but nevertheless goes along with it. At the diner, Scarlett is worried when she sees how dressed up Justin is and wants to change before they leave. He tells her he has a surprise planned instead and takes her to a secluded beach for a romantic picnic. Justin and Scarlett’s date is going well with both going for a swim and sharing a moment while in the water. As they get out of the water Justin hangs back for one last dip and walks further in before diving. He is under the water for a while and when he doesn’t surface Scarlett begins to panic.

While having breakfast, Alf and Leah finally get to have the talk with Ben and Maggie that they have been dying to have about the heritage listing. Ben angry, doesn’t believe that they weren’t involved despite their beliefs. Alf at his wits ends can’t understand why Ben is finding it hard to believe that Leah wasn’t involved and storms out. Maggie apologises to Leah and Alf before following him out. While they eat, Leah tells Alf that she is going to call nick Dutton to sort this out as she doesn’t want there to be tension between her and Ben. At the Astoni’s, Maggie angry at Ben can’t understand his problem, and tells him to stop blaming people. He then turns the tables and says its Maggie’s fault for suspending coco over nothing. Leah meets Nick over coffee and tries to convince him to drop it, he however turns on Leah and storms out. Everyone doesn’t realise that Maggie overheard the whole conversation and comes in and apologises to Alf and Leah and suggests an idea. She returns home to find ben who apologise to her and tells her he is stressed cause he feels everything is falling apart and tells her he doesn’t blame her. The leave as Maggie takes him to the dinner where they say reveal they have cleared a space for him to create a workshop for his surf boards leaving Ben over the mood. Ben is taken off guard by Alf and Leah’s generosity and finally apologises to Leah.
