Kirsty is shocked by the accusation Trey has made against her. Alf suggests that she may need a lawyer, but Miles is sure that Bartlett will be able to sort it. The next day he talks to him, but Bartlett is powerless to do anything, he has to follow procedure. Kirsty confronts Trey over his false accusation that they have been having an intimate relationship. An argument erupts and Kirsty shoves Trey just as his stepfather, John walks in on it. He immediately berates Kirsty believing she is harassing Trey. Alf is there to support Kirsty but advises her to keep away from Trey. Later Bartlett arrives at Summer Bay House to inform Kirsty that Trey’s father has been in touch with him and has threatened legal action. It is imperative that Kirsty have no contact with Trey until the matter is resolved. Kirsty asks how long that will be. Unfortunately as it is school holidays proceedings are moving slowly. Miles tells her to hang in there. But Kirsty’s not so sure she can.

Xavier has been having a hard time caring for Brendan. Despite Hugo being physically present he doesn’t understand Brendan. He doesn’t have knowledge of his habits and has no patience with him which makes Xavier angry, causing more disturbance to Brendan. After looking after Brendan for the day Xavier is planning on having a break when Hugo announces he will be helping Martha the next day and Xavier will have to have Brendan again. Xavier’s had enough and Brendan is distressed telling Hugo he isn’t his brother, Xavier is.

Charlie is called to the scene of a hit and run. She’s shocked to discover the victim is Tanya, Robbo’s ex. She is in a critical condition. Charlie is immediately concerned for Joey’s welfare. She returns to Leah’s house to find that Joey has packed up and left. Charlie returns to the station where Aden reports seeing Robbo following Joey in his car. Joey in the meantime has checked into a hotel, and on returning to her room, she’s shocked to find Robbo is waiting for her.

Charlie asks Brett if he has any idea where his sister might have gone. At the same time, Joey is tracked down at the hotel (through activity on her credit card.) Charlie arrives and after some searching finds Robbo trying to drown Joey in a bathtub. Joey has been hog tied and the bath water is rising, time is running out. Charlie breaks down the door and with only seconds to spare saves Joey. Robbo is arrested and Charlie learns that during his interrogation Joey went back to the hotel. Charlie goes to the hotel, her feelings for Joey coupled with the guilt she feels over her attack. Charlie inadvertently admits her attraction to Joey and the two share a kiss.
