Its all smiles at the year twelve formal. Kirsty confesses her love for Miles, but then comes face to face with Kane. Will Rachel uncover Bridget’s scam in time?
Extended Summary
It’s the day of the school formal and Melody is still hoping that Miles will back down and let her go to the formal with Geoff. But despite Melody’s best efforts at a good girl act Miles is sticking to his guns, she’s still grounded, leaving Melody dismayed and Geoff dateless. Aden is more excited about making it through Year Twelve than he is letting on and is upset when Belle tells him she’s decided not to go to the formal. Once the formal is in full swing, Nicole is pleased to discover that Melody couldn’t make it while Geoff is elated to hear that Nicole’s date stood her up. Aden’s so grateful when Belle turns up after all, dressed up and looking gorgeous!
Irene contemplates her decision not to give Kane’s letter to Kirsty. Much to Kane’s devastation he sees Miles and Kirsty kissing all the while thinking that Kirsty has received his letter – it seems obvious to a heartbroken Kane that Kirsty has made a choice to stay with Miles. Finally, Irene takes the letter and asks a distracted Melody to make sure Kirsty receives it. But, it soon gets lost and we wonder if Kirsty will ever get it. As Miles and Kirsty prepare for the formal, Kirsty tells a staggered Miles that she loves him. All loved up, they are about to leave when Kane arrives to see Kirsty. How will Kirsty react to her husband turning up when she has just told another man she loves him?
Alf asks Bridget to move in with him so that he can look after her when times are tough with her treatment. Bridget is non-committal and Alf tells her to think about it. Meanwhile, Rachel’s suspicions of Bridget are growing, especially after she questioned Bridget about the supposed birthday surprise she is organising for Leah. A friendly chat between the pair turns into a very aggressive altercation, feeling shocked and terrible at losing control like that Rachel tells Leah she is going to make it up to Bridget. However, when Rachel calls Bridget’s doctor in the city she discovers that Bridget isn’t seeing that doctor at all and never has. Will Rachel get onto Bridget’s scam in time to save Leah’s money?
