Later, Matilda confronts Dean who admits he is unsure whether it’s a good decision to get together with other counselling friends, even thought he like her a lot. Matilda reassures him they can still be friends but she is wondering if there’s a lot more to the story than he’s letting on.

Matilda finishes a counselling session with Mel and is pleased to hear she can go home. She thanks Mel and moves out. In the distance, she notices Dean arguing with another man. Although she can not hear what is being said, it is clear the argument is becoming heated. Matilda comments on the argument but Dean covers and says it’s his brother Gareth who came with the news his father doesn’t want Dean at home because he has not overcome his drinking and drugs problem. Matilda instantly sympathises and offers her support. Dean is sad she is leaving and with that, pulls Matilda in close for a passionate kiss…

Tony is pondering over the task of finding a new job. Amanda is on the search for a new Gym Manager. Tony is the first to admit he knows nothing about running a business but with the enthusiasm for a new challenge and a few tips from Beth, maybe he is the perfect candidate. Amanda is delighted by Tony’s suggestion and quickly seals the deal. Tony is slightly nervous but excited about his new career path. Amanda moves off and Tony spots Lucas looking rather sorry for himself. Lucas is still devastated having seen Matilda kissing Dean but when Tony questions him on his mood, Lucas goes in to shutdown and refuses to mention the reason for his bad mood.

Rachel is out collecting the mail. Her face falls as she opens one letter which reads “Get out of town, you pervert”! Obviously it’s intended for Kim and at that moment when he walks into the room, Rachel quickly hides the letter. Rachel is concerned about Kim’s darkened attitude – he hasn’t left the house in days and despite Rachel’s constant efforts, Kim’s spirits can not be buoyed. Kim discovers the letter and becomes even more disheartened that despite his innocence, the town have already decided he’s guilty. There’s a knock at the door – it’s Morag. She reveals she’s been making some enquiries into Tara’s background and has discovered she’s got a police record. Strangely her records are missing and one can only assume her Superintendent father is pulling some strings to keep them hidden. Despite Jack’s reservations, he eventually agrees to do some investigating into the missing files. Kim and Rachel have renewed hope – could this be the one thing that clears Kim’s name?

Morag is even more determined when Jack reveals Tara’s files have been removed from the police database. Morag later confronts Gordon, Tara’s father, and pleas with him to be absolutely sure Tara’s allegations against Kim are completely justified. Not only will they destroy Kim’s life but they will certainly jeopardise his career if they are proven to be wrong. Morag moves off, leaving Gordon with food for thought. Having heard the whole conversation, Tara is quick off the mark to play the guilt trip on her father and once again, she manipulates him in to believing her every word. Back at home, Kim and Rachel switch on the radio and are horrified to hear Tara being interviewed. Through the tears, she tells of how Kim took advantage of her and men like him need to be stopped. Kim is left absolutely seething, but none more so than Rachel, who storms off on a mission to end this once and for all!

Tara is immediately on edge as she comes face-to-face with one very angry Rachel. Rachel is disgusted by her lies and it’s only a matter of time before she will be exposed. Tara fires back and in no time, a heated argument ensues before it’s interrupted by Gordon. Morag arrives in the middle of the debacle and drags Rachel away from Gordon, who threatens her to stay the hell away from Tara. It’s clear that Rachel has just made things a whole lot worse!
