Extended Summary

Mumma Rose is in a dilemma following Tasha’s revelation – will she follow through with her original plan to induce Tasha’s labour? The moment is broken by the arrival of Jonathan, another assistant. Much to the shock of Tasha, Jonathan drags Charity in, kicking and screaming. Given she is a midwife, Charity confirms Tasha needs a Caesarean and needs to get to a hospital. Mumma Rose orders Jonathan to bring Tasha’s doctor to her but Jonathan protests, insisting it’s too risky. Mumma Rose demands he do it – no matter what it takes!

Once at the hospital, Jonathan is confronted by Nurse Julie. Jonathan spins a quick excuse to see Dr Ridley and Nurse Julie directs him down the corridor. Once out of sight, he hides, spying on Dr Ridley and Rachel as they pass – what will he do?

Jonathan’s car pulls up outside the abandoned house and he drags a woman from the car towards the door. Inside, Tasha is struck with a wave of pain and Charity is doing all she can to calm her down. Tasha continues to panic – she doesn’t want to lose her baby! Mumma Rose spots Jonathan and tells Tasha not to worry – help has arrived. The door opens and Jonathan moves inside with Rachel! Tasha is stunned – what’s she doing here?! That’s not her doctor! Jonathan has kidnapped the wrong person! Mumma Rose yells at Rachel to perform a Caesarean. Rachel is outraged and refuses to do such a thing. Mumma Rose persists and Rachel realises she must play along, insisting she needs the correct equipment from the hospital. Mumma Rose agrees but warns her if she tries to blow the whistle – then she and Tasha will die!

Nurse Julie approaches Rachel and Jonathan at the hospital. She can see Rachel is tense and questions her on it. Rachel is desperately thinking of a way to inform Julie of what’s happening. Julie asks for Rachel’s signature and under the watchful eye of Jonathan, Rachel grabs the folder. Quickly, she scribbles a message for help but when Julie snaps the folder shut, it seems her chance for help has just disappeared. Rachel gathers up the equipment and leaves feeling utterly defeated. Tasha is highly distressed when Rachel returns. Mumma Rose puts the pressure on to get to work but Rachel has other plans. She fills a syringe with sedative but as she lunges at Mumma Rose, with every intention to inject her with it, the syringe hits Tasha, who receives the full dose.

Nurse Julie is sorting through the filing some paperwork when she comes across Rachel’s message. Her face drops as she reaches for the phone urgently. Back at the Police Station, everyone is outraged by the latest news on Mumma Rose’s plan to take the baby. Robbie becomes overwhelmed by the thought – time is running out to save Tasha! The phone rings with the news from Julie. The police spring into action! Meanwhile, Tasha is reacting badly to the overdose of sedatives and Rachel is trying desperately to keep her awake. Mumma Rose is enraged by Rachel’s refusal to perform the Caesarean. Suddenly, the sound of police sirens can be heard. In no time, the police barge through the doors and Mumma Rose and Jonathan make a desperate race out the back door. As the police give chase, Rachel yells out – they need to get Tasha to hospital immediately.

Back at the hospital, the fight is on to save Tasha’s life. Her blood pressure is dangerously low and Robbie and Irene watch on, helpless, as Tasha goes into cardiac arrest. Eventually, Tasha is stabilised and she receives the good news that she and baby are doing well. However, the baby may arrive a little sooner than expected. Tasha and Robbie are relieved – they can finally put their ordeal with Mumma Rose behind them – or can they..?

Jack rips into Mumma Rose, whom they have captured and taken back to the Station. Jack insists that if she should ever lay a finger on Tasha again – he will hunt her down! Mumma Rose remains emotionless, however, once she is alone behind bars, a small smile breaks across her face. Mumma Rose’s sinister plan is far from over!
