CARAVAN PARK
Out in the back porch, away from Scott’s temper, Beth softly approaches Kit about what has been going on, offering all the help she needs for overcoming whatever problems that she has been having. Kit warns her that it’s too weird, and Beth assures her that she can be trusted. Relenting, Kit assures Beth that she’s not going to make anything up, and needless to say Beth looks kinda concerned.

Later, Beth leads Kit back into the house, trying to sound convincing when she says that everything will be “fine”. Scott, still hanging around like the proverbial bad smell, demands an explanation. Beth attempts to calm him, now adamant that Kit never meant any harm to anyone, but refuses anything by way of explanation – Scott is unimpressed, and mocks Kit, wondering if he’s just meant to go back to Dani and Hayley and await Kit’s next mid-night visit. Kit promises that it won’t be happening again, whilst Beth begs Scott to leave it – he reluctantly leaves, pointing out that HE’S the one who will be looking Hayley in the eye. Beth suggests that he and Dani join them for a family meal that night, and after rolling his eyes and wondering if they’re meant to sit around a table and pretend everything’s a-ok, he grudgingly accepts Beth’s offer. Beth doesn’t want him to mention anything to anyone, and Kit once more tries to convince him that she never meant any harm, and that she believes that her actions will work out for the best in the long term. Scott leaves, and Kit asserts to an unsure Beth that she truly believes her actions were for the better.

NEAR BEACH
Scott receives a text from Dani – she is to meet him at the Surf club, and it seems she has some good news.

SURF CLUB
A grumpy Scott arrives at the Surf Club and Dani, his polar opposite, cheerfully recounts how Hayley is now on cloud nine – her supposed sleep-sketching has blitzed away her artists-block and all is right in the world again. Scott is stunned to see Hayley behaving so happily, and decides not to point out that she didn’t actually sketch in her sleep by way of remedy. He nods unenthusiastically as Hayley tells him that it has all worked out for the best. Dani wonders why Scott rushed out earlier, and he mumbles that it’s nothing important – just that Kit’s in town and Beth has invited them over for dinner.

BEACH
Beth approaches Flynn (who else?!) for advice about Kit, wondering whether her alcohol abuse could have had some long term effects on Kit’s brain – and whether it is possible that someone could have delusional flashbacks. Beth agrees to talk to him about it, and admits to being nervous about what he might say.

Beth explains to Flynn how Kit claims that it was Noah who came to her and told her to leave the pictures at the Palace in order to help Hayley. The way Kit said it has made Beth believe that Kit honestly believed that Noah visited her, and didn’t mean anything malicious by leaving the sketches. However, from a medical point of view, Beth doesn’t think it can be in any way possible. She considers that perhaps Kit is having some sort of breakdown due to her grief over a man that she loved. Flynn is thoughtful, wondering if Kit has been in contact with Hayley – Beth replies no, so there is no way that Kit could have known what Hayley herself has been going through since Noah’s demise. Beth explains that Kit feels too embarrassed to contact Hayley – she doesn’t feel that she has the right to be going through the same grief as Hayley. “There’s some irony in that”, Flynn muses to Beth’s confusion, making a vague comment about Hayley’s own experiences. When Beth enquires about what he is talking about, he excuses himself, thinking that he ought to be speaking to Kit instead.

CARAVAN PARK
Flynn arrives to see Kit, who is less than pleased when she works out that her mother has revealed all to him. Flynn is quick to try and calm her down – Beth is concerned, and he is only there to encourage her to talk to Hayley. Kit rolls her eyes – yeah, like she’s going to confess to Hayley and tell her that her dead husband told her to do it – “I’m surprised they haven’t called a shrinks already”. She is adamant that Hayley would think she has lost the plot,. depsite Flynn’s reassurance. The phone ringing interrupts them, and Flynn insists that he’ll wait. It’s Beth, wondering if Flynn had arrived, and Kit sarcastically thanks her for the warning. Beth then remarks that she has seen Hayley – she’s on cloud nine, having started drawing again and she has drawn (no pun intended) her own conclusion for the mystery sketches. It would seem that Kit was right all along and as she hangs up, she points out to Flynn that it’s a happy ending. There seems no point in telling Hayley the truth now, but Flynn encourages her to do it for her own sake – it’s her turn to get something out of it. He promises that Hayley won’t be mad

GYM
Hayley finishes a class at the gym when Kit arrives. Things are kinda awkward at first, as Kit says that she is sorry about what happened to Noah, adding “he loved you very much”. Kit then asks Hayley for a talk, mentioning that she was ‘referred’ by Flynn – it’s about an experience that she had with Noah that Flynn thinks Hayley will understand…

ROCKS
On the rocks, in the same area that they scattered the ashes, Kit explains to Hayley about how Noah visited her – she wasn’t scared, as he was so warm and she was so happy to see him. She then goes on to explain how Noah told her to leave the sketches somewhere where Hayley would find them – he was adamant that it would be ok if she did as he asked. He kept coming back, and she really wanted to phone Scott to check what was going on, and whether Hayley was alright. Hayley is understanding – it DID freak her out, until the third one, and Hayley guesses that Noah KNEW it would take several to get his message through to her. Kit is surprised that Hayley believes her, and that she’s not at all angry – she then enquires about Hayley’s own experience. Hayley points out a spot on the rocks – the place where she last saw Noah. He came to both of them. The pair hug.

BREAK

ROCKS
Hayley and Kit are still deep in conversation, Hayley explaining to Kit that at first she couldn’t understand why Noah came to her, or why he finally told her that he had to say goodbye – but now she realises that he was there long enough to help her through the time after his death and to get her back on track. He must have later realised that there were other problems that needed solving – like her painting – and as he had already said goodbye to her, he couldn’t return to Hayley, and so went to Kit instead. Kit is glad that she’s not crazy, but wishes that the rest of the world could see things like they could – “they’re the one’s who are missing out!” states Hayley boldly. They are lucky, as they know the answer to something people have wondered about since the start of time. She stares at the horizon… “there’s more out there”. Not a day goes by when she doesn’t remember Noah or her Dad, but it’s easier when she knows that they’re ‘around’. A moment of silence passes before Kit speaks, admitting that she wanted to attend the funeral, but it just didn’t feel right. Hayley thinks she should have come – she loved Noah, and Noah really cared about her too. Why else would he have chosen HER to go to?

THE PALACE
Dani stares at the sketches, telling Scott that the more she thinks about it, the weirder it all seems. Scott couldn’t agree more. Hayley and Kit arrive, stunning Scott with their best-of-friends routine. They tell him that they’ve had along talk about everything – it’s all good, and Hayley finally draws the courage to rip up the sketches. They were too dark for her liking – Noah wasn’t like that. She enthusiastically drags Kit through to see her latest sketches as Scott stares after them in disbelief, and Dani wonders if she’s missing something.

SURF CLUB
Scott arrives at the kiosk to talk to Beth, wanting some answers. She is cheered up to learn that Kit and Hayley are “acting like long lost sisters”, and mentions that it was all a ‘ghost story’. Scott’s face says it all as Beth tries to explain to him that some things in life defy explanation – and the two people that matter, Hayley and Kit, have made their peace over it. Beth offers Scott no more of an explanation – after all, some of it can’t be explained.

CARAVAN PARK
Beth shouts up the stairs, calling Matilda and Henry for dinner. Scott and Dani help lay the table whilst Kit sits alone out on the back porch, staring at a picture of Noah. Beth joins her, and she admits that she’s feeling “better – just like he planned”. Kit mentions her conversation with Hayley – and how Noah came back to help her cope as well as Hayley. She came so close to drinking again, and it was Noah’s visit that stopped her. She didn’t realise it at the time, but Noah gave her something to do and took her mind off it. She now feels ok – she doesn’t feel the need to drink anymore. She knows that Noah loved Hayley, but thinks that Noah must have felt something for her to come back to her. Beth agrees that he must have loved her as well – it’s quite possible that a man can love two women. Beth appears to drift thoughtfully away at this comment… she has realised something. Mother and daughter hug.

Later, dinner is over and Beth and Kit are clearing the table, deciding to leave the washing up for the twins in the morning – “seeing as they ate and ran”. Once Kit has left the room, Beth calls Rhys, apologising for calling so late before stating that they need to talk.
