Jay was first seen at Robbo & Jasmine’s apartment, where Scott Larkin introduced him as the police protection officer assigned to accompany Jasmine to work at the hospital. Robbo recognised him from working together on a previous investigation, the Fairhouse case.

Jay was at the hospital when the Ouroboros gang took over the emergency department. However, it soon became clear that he was in on the siege. After Mason Morgan was killed, Jay took over running the siege. He was arrested when the police stormed the hospital, with McCarthy assuring him that the prisoners in his gaol will know he was a bent cop.
