Extended Summary

Robbo has gone for a swim on the beach and runs into Justin, Willow and Ava, who are making sandcastles. Robbo notes he might not be able to do it for much longer. Tori comes over and comments that Robbo must be feeling better now Ash is going to testify for him, but neither Robbo nor Justin is convinced. Tori tells Robbo that Kurt wants to see them. They meet up with him at Salt, where he says he spoke to Ash on the phone but he refused to attend the strategy session, leading Kurt to believe he is still a hostile witness. However, all they need him to do is confirm that the escape was Kat’s idea.

At the farm house, Ziggy and Coco question Ben about what’s being done about Maggie’s cancer spreading. Ben simply states that the medical team are looking into other treatment options. Maggie comes through and notes that they’ve tidied up. Ziggy says they didn’t need to have the party but Maggie says she wanted it. Ziggy notices a needle mark on Ben’s arm and he says he simply decided to have a check-up himself. Ziggy and Coco leave; Ben thinks they should tell them about the stem cell treatment but Maggie wants to wait until they hear about the register. Back at Salt, Kurt explains that they can argue Ash provoked the assault. Tori points out Dylan’s body hasn’t been found and Kurt agrees, saying they can suggest he has simply disappeared now all his friends are in jail. Novak they’re calling self-defence. However, Kurt doesn’t want Robbo to testify, as it would give the prosecution a chance to pick apart his defence. Instead, he wants Justin to testify about Novak trying to kill Kat at the cabin. Robbo isn’t sure he will help but Tori says he seems supportive now.

Ziggy and Coco are walking on the beach. Ziggy is convinced that Ben was lying about the blood test. However, when Coco worries that he’s ill as well, she quickly backtracks and assures her it’s not that. Back at the farm house, Ben is trying to convince Maggie that there might be no solution other than testing Ziggy. Maggie is determined to wait, but the wait soon comes to an end as Tori calls them. She says Ben isn’t compatible and there are only a handful of suitable donors worldwide on the register, meaning it could take months to track them down and get them tested. Ben wants to test Ziggy and Tori is keen on the idea as well but Maggie has been reading up on the side effects of the injections she’d need before the harvesting. Although Tori says they’re rare, Maggie refuses to put her through it.

Roo and Martha are eating at the Diner. Roo says it’s been good getting to know her but she feels awkward doing it without Alf, especially since he doesn’t know about Martha’s mental health issues. Martha doesn’t think it would make any difference. Alf comes in and Roo invites him to join them but he walks out without a word. Martha wants to go back to her new life but Roo asks her to stay for a while. Meanwhile, Justin, Willow and Ava run into Robbo and Kurt outside the surf club, where Kurt has been explaining that Robbo’s tag will be switched off during the trial. While the girls go on, Kurt says Justin hasn’t been answering his calls and Justin says he doesn’t answer unknown numbers or lawyers. They ask him to testify and he agrees. After they’ve gone, Dean asks Justin why he’s helping Ash’s enemy. Willow returns and tries to calm things. Ava throws her ball to Willow but Dean catches it. Giving it back to her, he comments that she should be careful, like he’s trying to tell her father.

Ben continues trying to persuade Maggie, saying she’s just been spooked by what she’s read on the internet. Maggie doesn’t want to put Ziggy at risk and thinks they should wait for the donors but Ben thinks they don’t have time and Ziggy would want to help her and be upset that she wasn’t given the opportunity. Maggie eventually agrees to talk to her but says if there’s any hesitation she’ll put a stop to it. However, when they get to the hospital and explain, Ziggy insists she’s fully committed. Maggie and Tori encourage her to hear the full story: She’ll need a blood test to see if there’s a match and then need injections at home to increase her stem cells. Coco wants to get tested too but Tori explains you have to be over eighteen. Coco wants to find a way around it but Ziggy snaps that she is the way around it and it’s not about Coco. Ben follows Coco outside: He understands, since neither of them can help Maggie, but says they have to support Ziggy.

Roo tracks down Alf near the bait shop and asks him about his attitude towards Martha. Alf reiterates that he won’t stand in Roo’s way but doesn’t agree with her. Roo suggests Alf have dinner with Martha. Alf is reluctant but Roo suggests it might give him some answers. Later, Roo explains the plan to Irene at the Diner: She’s going to drop the food off and leave, since Alf and Martha will talk better without her. However, first she needs to convince Martha. Taking some coffee to her outside, she asks her about dinner. Martha isn’t keen but when Roo says Alf is on board, she agrees.

Justin, Willow and Ava arrive back at the Morgan house. Justin is worried about what Dean said but Willow insists he’d never hurt a kid. Justin and Ava unsuccessfully attempt to show her a trick they’ve taught Buddy, who completely fails to respond when they throw a rubber bone for him. Willow says she’ll meet them later. She heads to Salt to meet Dean and tells him to stop pushing Justin’s buttons. Dean is unimpressed but Willow says she’s finally happy.

Robbo is alone in the Diner flat. He looks over his suit and then sits down for a leftover meal. At the Stewart house, Alf has set the table. He gets himself a drink and sits down to wait. When Roo gets home, he is clearing the plates away and tells her Martha didn’t turn up. Roo wants to find out what happened but Alf sees it as evidence that it was a bad idea.

Justin, Willow and Ava are eating ice cream on the balcony at Salt. Justin tells Willow about giving evidence at Robbo’s trial and she accepts it. As the three of them joke around, a hooded figure watches them from the ground.
