There’s romance on the horizon for Kat. Coco continues to hide her secret.
Extended Summary
Robbo and Kat run into each other on the beach. Kat makes a fumbling attempt to compliment his surfing in a way that doesn’t sound like she appreciates the way he looks. Robbo heads off for a shower and Scarlett again catches Kat ogling him. Scarlett explains that she has to go to the station to check Brody’s file. Kat wonders why. Up at Salt, VJ arrives and asks Ben where Coco is, since they were meant to be meeting for lunch. Ben says she went for a run and comments that he’s never been able to get her into the water either. VJ tells him about Coco fainting and how that was the reason. Ben decides to ring Coco.
Coco is starting to stir as her phone rings. She gets up, clutching her arm as if it’s injured. She immediately feels faint and almost falls down the rest of the stairs but Robbo appears and catches her. He uses her phone to call for an ambulance. Later, they are at the hospital with Tori. Coco admits she fainted. Robbo says her phone died before he could call her parents and Tori says she’ll get the hospital to do it. She asks Coco when she last ate for the sake of the scans and Coco says that morning. Tori wants her to go for an x-ray. Coco wants to wait until her parents get there but Tori explains that x-ray’s busy.
Maggie attracts John’s attention at the Diner and tells him Raffy might need some support, since she isn’t fitting in well in her new year. Ben enters and asks Maggie if she’s seen Coco. Maggie checks her phone and finds someone has left her a voicemail… Cut to Ben and Maggie arriving at the hospital. Robbo directs them to Coco’s room and they join her and Tori. Tori explains that Coco’s wrist is fractured and will need to be in a splint for two weeks. Although Coco tries to dissuade them, saying she was just not taking enough fluids in the heat, Ben and Maggie both support Tori running further tests to find out the cause of the fainting.
At the police station, Scarlett has filled Kat in on the fact she’s representing Brody. She adds that she’ll need to retract her statement, which will have to be signed off by the justice department, but she knows the system. Murray asks Kat for Robbo’s file since he wants to see if Robbo recognises any of Rose Newton’s neighbours. Scarlett asks Kat about the fact Robbo’s given up looking into his past; Kat is hoping he’ll change his mind. Later, Robbo turns up, having been summoned by Murray. Murray gives him his learner’s driving license and asks him to look at mug shots of the neighbours. Robbo is annoyed that Kat hasn’t told anyone of his wishes but Murray says they’re not going to abandon a case with active leads. Scarlett invites Kat for a drink.
At Salt, Scarlett queries Kat about her interest in Robbo. Kat says nothing much happened and accepts Scarlett characterising it as a rebound. Scarlett remains suspicious of Robbo. Kat says it might help if they weren’t living near each other. Scarlett is keen to move out of the caravan park and they lament the lack of hygiene in the communal shower block. Kat suggests they get somewhere together and Scarlett shows her a For Lease notice for the Diner. At the hospital, Maggie notices Coco biting her nails. Ben comes in and says Robbo left before they could thank him, since he’s now saved both their girls. After getting Coco’s permission, Tori tells them the results: Coco has an electrolyte imbalance and low iron levels, which is probably diet related. Ben and Maggie muse on her recent careful eating but Coco insists she eats well. Tori admits it could just be a virus but wants Coco to come back in for further tests so they can keep an eye on it. In the meantime, she’s going to prescribe her iron tablets and vitamin supplements.
Ben and Maggie help Coco home and remind her she’s supposed to rest, not keep exercising. Coco asks Ben to get the supplements Tori recommended and goes to lie down. Ben is not convinced by Coco’s explanation and suggests they keep an eye on her. He gets a call about the Diner flat lease. Meanwhile, John takes Raffy to Salt and asks her about wanting to go back to Year 9. Raffy says she has no friends since Coco wants nothing to do with her. John points out a newly-arrived VJ as a friend. Raffy thinks she’s a loser, too smart for Year 9 and not cool enough for Year 10. VJ points out he’s repeating Year 12 and thinks the really cool people are the ones who find it easy. Ben comes in and orders a six pack of beer. VJ asks about Coco and Ben tells him about her hospital visit. VJ and Raffy decide to go and see her.
Scarlett is running around the Diner flat, impressed, while Kat confirms to Ben that she’s already familiar with the place. However, when Robbo turns up, Kat immediately says they’ll take it. Ben gives Robbo the beers to thank him for helping Coco and says when he starts making surf boards he’ll give Robbo one. Scarlett quizzes Robbo about giving up looking into his past, saying he could have a family out there. Robbo says it’s obvious no-one’s looking for him. Scarlett pushes the issue until Robbo loses his temper and storms out. Scarlett looks like she feels vindicated. Kat tracks Robbo down outside and he complains that everyone expects to find something dodgy in his past. Kat agrees to try and convince Murray that it’s a waste of resources.
Maggie gets VJ and Raffy some of Coco’s sugar-free drink. Coco emerges and is pleased to see them both. She admits to Raffy that she hasn’t been a good friend lately and says there’s a reason why she’s hanging out with Jennifer. Raffy jokes that one of them’s blackmailing the other. Coco asks if they can be friends even if she can’t tell her. Later, while Raffy is looking though the DVDs (they have two copies of Point Break in case Ben can’t find one of them), VJ asks Coco how she is and Coco repeats the virus story. VJ makes it clear he’d rather have lunch with her than Jennifer.
Kat and Robbo head up to the flat and Robbo apologises to Scarlett for losing it. He wonders who’ll take which bedroom. Kat says she’ll take Luc’s old room since she’s keen for a fresh start. Robbo offers to help them move and Scarlett goes to pack her stuff. Back at the farm, Raffy is mixing a sauce while VJ bemoans the fact they’re having to eat salad. He comments on both Raffy and Coco being saved by a handsome guy but they dub Robbo old and end up pelting VJ with vegetable leaves.
Kat and Robbo take her things up to the flat. Kat suggests Robbo can go now, stressing that they had one kiss and he should forget it. Robbo says he’s forgotten enough things. He kisses her again and they’re soon getting passionate.
