The time that many ‘sChax’s fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. After 6 months of speculation, and many weeks of promos, the episodes that see the late Charlie Buckton return will finally air in Australia this coming week.

Charlie was shot by Jake Pirovic in the 2011 season finale, and passed away in Episode 5437 after her life support was switched off. In a twist of fate, Brax is now facing a similar situation after being shot by Adam Sharpe in last week’ss Australian airings.

It’ss while Brax fights for his life in Monday’ss episode that Charlie makes her much publicised return. Actress Esther Anderson, who returned from Los Angeles in November to film the episodes, told TV Week “I was really stoked they wanted me back. As soon as I read what they’sd written for Charlie I really liked it. It resonated with me straight away and I knew Steve and I would be able to make it work, and they would be really compelling scenes.” She continued “Stepping back into Charlie’ss shoes was very special and to have the fans support for it has meant so much.“

It’ss no secret that Brax survives his ordeal, with the recent news that actor Steve Peacocke will be taking a short break from the show in coming months to star in the film Hercules: The Thracian Wars, but how the return of Charlie plays out is still officially under wraps.
