New Opening Titles for 2013… Updated

Back in January, we reported on the news that Home and Away’ss 2013 season return brought with it a refreshed 5 second title card to introduce the show. It wasn’st the return of full opening titles that many fans had hoped for, but it was a welcome change nonetheless.

We’sre a little bit late in reporting this one, but it turns out more than one title card has been produced, with new 5 second bumpers debuting in weeks 2 and 3.

As we initially reported, the first title card featured a girl dressed in an orange bikini running into the sea with a surfboard, with an orange Home and Away logo displayed over the top.

Title card 2, which made its debut a week later, features a male riding his surfboard out at sea, once again complete with the new orange logo.

The third title card features a couple playing on the beach, the male spinning the female in the air.

The fourth week of the 2013 season, which began Monday 11th February, saw the first title card appear again, suggesting that at the moment there are just three versions of the bumper, which will be used on rotation.

With the 2013 season premiere airing in the UK tomorrow (Friday 15th) on 5*, the question now remains of whether UK viewers will see refreshed closing credits. While Seven in Australia uses an in-house credits style over a preview of the next episode, international viewers see the show’ss original credits, and the refreshed opening is likely to bring with it a refreshed closing sequence as well.
