On Wednesday, Tracey and Jacob are hanging out with Alaina, Jasper and Ebony down at Warrawong Westfield.

Jasper: I really like this town. It reminds me of Caboolture.

Jacob: Where is Caboolture man?

Alaina: It's in Queensland.

Tracey: It's a shame we lost this year's State of Origin.

Alaina: I love the Maroons.

Tracey: Well, I love the Blues. *smiles*

Ebony: Can we NOT talk about the NRL and just enjoy our day shopping?

Jasper: Sure thing, baby sister.

Ebony: DON'T call me baby sister. I'm 12!

*Jacob and Tracey laugh*

Ebony: It's not funny. Jasper and Alaina always torment me.

Alaina: Do not!

Ebony: Do so!

Alaina: Do not!

Ebony: Do so!

Jasper: All right, girls. That's enough. *to Jasper and Tracey* Why did I not gain a brother?

Alaina: Because Mum and Dad wanted to have two beautiful girls like me and Ebony. *puts her arm around Ebony*

Jasper: Wishful thinking.

*Alaina slaps Jasper across the arm*

Tracey: I'm an only child.

Alaina: That sucks.

Tracey: I find it quite peaceful actually. *smiles*

*Alaina just laughs*

Jacob: Shall we get lunch first, bestie?

Tracey: I think that sounds like a good idea. What do you think guys?

Alaina/Jasper/Ebony: Awesome!

At Janae's house, she has just gotten off the phone with Sabrina when Abby walks in.

Abby: Hello cuz.

Janae: Abigail Joan Mitchell! Sit!

*Abby sits on an armchair in the living room*

Abby: I have taken my seat, Janae Rose Taylor. *laughs*

Janae: What's this I hear about you getting yourself a boyfriend?

Abby: Mum told you, didn't she?

Janae: Actually, it was Cam. *smiles*

Abby: It's not who you think.

Janae: Hope not. I don't want you going out with Bryan Ferguson ever again. I still won't forgive him after he cheated on you with Courtney Neath.

Abby: I'm not going out with Bryan. He was a dope anyway. My new boyfriend is someone you know very well.

Janae: Really? Who is it?

Abby: *calling out* You may come in now!

*Peter enters the house*

Janae: Peter?

Peter: That's me. *smiles*

*Janae faints and lands on the sofa*

Abby: Cuz?

Peter: Is she faking?

Abby: I don't think so! *lightly taps Janae's face* Janae! Janae, wake up!

Back at Warrawong Westfield, Tracey and the group are walking around when they see Sabrina and Leah come out of Kmart.

Tracey: Hey! *waves at Sabrina and Leah*

Sabrina: Hey Trace. How are you?

*Tracey and Sabrina hug*

Tracey: Just shopping with my baby and some new friends. And how are you, Leah?

Leah: Not too bad thanks. *hugs Tracey and gives her a kiss on the cheek*

Sabrina: Hey Jacob. Guess who's coming back to Warrawong High next term?

Jacob: Who?

Sabrina: Does the name Imoska Lewis ring any alarm bells?

Jacob: Oh yeah! Imoska! Haven't seen her since Year 8.

Tracey: Who?!?

Sabrina: Imoska was one of our friends from high school who moved to Sydney halfway through Year 8. Very down-to-earth and lovely.

Tracey: Is she Russian?

Sabrina: No. She's Ethiopian.

Tracey: Cool!

Jacob: The family moving back down here?

Sabrina: No. Imoska's going to be living with her Dad.

Tracey: How do you pronounce her name?

Sabrina: E-mosh-car.

Tracey: Got it now.

Alaina: Well, we better head off Tracey. Mum wants us back home so we can do our chores.

Tracey: Okay. See you guys later.

Alaina: *to Sabrina* It was nice meeting you and your sister, uh...

Sabrina: Sabrina.

Alaina: Sabrina. We'll talk later Tracey. Bye.

Tracey: Bye guys.

*Alaina, Jasper and Ebony walk off*

Leah: They seem really nice.

Tracey: They are.

Leah: It sucks I have to go home tomorrow.

Sabrina: I know. I'm going to be lonely again. *pulls a sad face*

Jacob: At least you've got us.

Sabrina: True. We better let you guys continue on with your shopping. I'm heading over to see Janae soon.

Jacob: Later sis.

*Sabrina and Leah walk off*

Tracey: I can't wait to meet this Imoska Lewis once school goes back.

Jacob: I'm sure she'll tell us about all her friends, being the little social butterfly she is.

Tracey: Oh bestie! *hugs Jacob before kissing him*

Abby and Peter have finally woken Janae up from her fainting episode.

Janae: Sorry about fainting. It's just the news was quite a shock.

Peter: It's all good Janae. So, are you happy for us?

Janae: Of COURSE I'm happy for you guys! My favourite cousin going out with one of my best friends. Life couldn't be more perfect.

*Sabrina walks in*

Janae: Hey bestie. How was shopping with your sister?

Sabrina: It was good. We ran into Tracey and Jacob.

Janae: Cool!

Sabrina: Oh, you won't believe who I was on the phone to last night?

Janae: Who?

Sabrina: Imoska Lewis.

*Janae looks less than impressed*

Janae: Oh really? How is the bitch?

Sabrina: She's doing great. *looks at Janae awkwardly*

Janae: What is it?

Sabrina: Um, I don't know how to put this to you.

Abby: Spit it out, Sabrina! We're dying to know.

Sabrina: Imoska is coming back to our school next term.

*Janae looks ticked off*

The next day (Thursday), Janae is over at Tracey and Jacob's apartment having a girl talk with Tracey.

Janae: I seriously wanted to see you bestie.

Tracey: What's wrong? You didn't have a fight with Sabrina did you?

Janae: Oh no, no, no. It's about Imoska Lewis.

Tracey: Yeah. Sabrina told me that she was coming back to Warrawong High next term. When does next term go back by the way?

Janae: The 16th of this month. I'm dreading it upon hearing of Imoska's return.

Tracey: What's your issue with Imoska?

Janae: She's a backstabbing little mutt! Glad she left in Year 8. I was on the verge of beating the crap out of her.

Tracey: What did she do?

Janae: In Year 7, we were friends. Then when we started Year 8, Imoska started being a real bitch to me. One day, she told everyone in our class that I gave her the cooties. I nearly got banned from Westfield because I chased her throughout the whole shopping centre. Two weeks later, the bitch and her family moved to Sydney. Have I told you what Amanda Wilson did to me in Year 9?

Tracey: Sabrina told me most of the story.

Janae: Amanda told one of the teachers that I brought a gun to school. As a result, I was nearly expelled from school until Peter and Jacob told Mrs Feeney the truth. The minute I saw Amanda, I snapped! I bashed her so badly that she had to go to hospital.

Tracey: Ouch!

Janae: I can be pretty vicious when I want to be. And if Imoska starts with her garbage once she returns, so help me she'll be one sorry girl!

Tracey: Don't worry about that now. Concentrate on my birthday next week.

Janae: You'll be 17, won't you?

Tracey: That's correct. *smiles*

Janae: Are we still having a party down at Hotel Illawarra?

Tracey: Of course we are. It's going to be next Saturday night, the day after my birthday.

Janae: Awesome!

*Tracey and Janae high-five*

At Sabrina's house, Leah is putting her suitcases into her car. She is returning to Bega as uni goes back the following week.

Sabrina: I'm going to miss you again. Promise you'll ring.

Leah: Of course I will. *smiles*

*Anne comes out*

Anne: My darling oldest daughter. I'm so proud of you. You do realise that don't you?

Leah: Of course I do Mum. *smiles*

Anne: Drive safely. *hugs Leah*

Leah: I will.

Sabrina: Say hello to Dad for me.

Leah: Sure thing sis. I love you.

Sabrina: Love you too.

*Sabrina hugs Leah*

Leah: I'll ring you when I return home.

Sabrina/Anne: Okay.

*Leah heads into her car and pulls out of the driveway before leaving the street*

Sabrina: I'm already missing her.

Anne: I know darling. *puts her arm around Sabrina, who looks like she's about to cry*

Sabrina: I might go and see what Tracey's doing. It might help me take my mind off things.

Anne: If that's what you want darling.

*Sabrina hugs Anne*

Sabrina: Love you Mum.

Anne: I love you too sweetie.

That afternoon, Janae returns home to find Sarah in a rage.

Sarah: JANAE ROSE!!!! WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!?

Janae: Meaning of what?

*Sarah shows Janae a letter from Janae's father*

Sarah: THIS LETTER!!!

Janae: Oh, I was meant to tell you about that.

Sarah: WHEN JANAE?!? NEXT CHRISTMAS?!? IT SAYS THAT HE'S GOING TO APPLY FOR CUSTODY OF YOU!!!

Janae: I know.

Sarah: IN THE FOUR YEARS THAT WE'VE BEEN DIVORCED, YOU'VE ALWAYS LIVED WITH ME!!!

Janae: WILL YOU JUST CALM DOWN AND LET ME EXPLAIN?!?

Sarah: Fine. I understand that you want to see Dad in Nowra, but that's beside the point. Your schooling comes first, but as long as you spend time with him on the weekend or in the holidays, I'm perfectly okay with it.

Janae: Mum, it's the first week of the Term 2 holidays.

Sarah: I'm well aware of that Janae. It's just that...*starts to choke up* I don't want to lose you.

Janae: Come here bitch.

*Janae hugs a now crying Sarah*

Janae: You'll never lose me. I'm living here to annoy the hell out of you.

Sarah: Not if I annoy you first, young lady! *sniffs*

*Janae and Sarah both start laughing as they continue to hug*

July 11, 1991 - The day before Tracey's 17th birthday.

On the following Thursday, Tracey and the group are chilling at Janae's house. They are bored out of their heads.

Janae: What to do?

Tracey: I'm bored out of my brains.

Cam: Even my sessions with my P.T are less painful than this.

Peter: It's a shame Abby couldn't come.

Janae: Well, she had a photo shoot to attend to.

Sabrina: She was born to me a model aye?

Janae: Yes.

Jacob: WHAT can we do?

Tracey: We could have lunch at Westfield.

Sabrina: That's starting to get boring. How about we go to City Beach?

Cam: That's no good. We didn't bring our swimming outfits.

Janae: I wanna go see Robyn, but she's gone to see her Nan.

Tracey: Alaina and that have gone down to Kiama for the day.

Sabrina: We could always hang out with Tasmine McCreed and some of her friends?

Tracey: She's in our year, isn't she?

Sabrina: That's right.

Cam: Is she the one that always rides a skateboard near Warrawong Westfield?

Janae: That would be her.

Sabrina: Tasmine and I go way back. She's such a nice kid.

Janae: Kid? She's in the same year as us.

Sabrina: I'm well aware of that bestie.

Tracey: How do you know this Tasmine chick?

Janae: Went to primary school with me, Sabrina and Peter.

Tracey: *to Jacob* You didn't go to the same primary school as them?

Jacob: I went to Corrimal Public School. I met Janae and that in Year 7.

Tracey: Let me get this straight. Your Mum took fifteen minutes to take you to school and back?

Jacob: No! We lived in Corrimal at the time. We didn't move to Warrawong until two weeks before Christmas 1986.

Tracey: Oh. Got it now. *smiles*

Cam: Do you either of you have Tasmine's number?

Janae: I know where she lives.

Sabrina: I have her number.

Peter: Just hope Diane isn't with her!

Janae: Hope not.

Tracey: Who's Diane?

Janae: Diane Smithers is this nosy bitch that always hangs around Tasmine.

Tracey: So, she's the nosy type. I don't like people who are like that.

Janae: And she's always in your face. It's like you can't get rid of her.

Sabrina: Not to mention butting into other people's conversations.

Peter: She asked me out once, but I rejected her.

Janae: Good thing you did.

Tracey: How old's Abby by the way?

Janae: She'll be 20 in November.

Tracey: So, she's the oldest in the group.

Cam: Actually, that would be me. I turned 20 in May.

Tracey: But you've got such a good figure.

Cam: Thanks. *laughs*

Janae: Well, let's not waste this day. Let's go and see what Tasmine's doing.

*The group get up and leave*

Over at a block of units in Todd Street, Warrawong, Tasmine McCreed is riding her skateboard across the car park where her friends are cheering her on.

*Tracey and the others approach Tasmine and her friends*

Janae: Hey Tasmine!

Tasmine: I don't believe it! Come here bitch!

*Janae hugs Tasmine*

Tasmine: About time you guys hung out with me.

Sabrina: You're hardly in any of our classes girl.

Tasmine: We're in the same English class. Now, where's my hug?

*Sabrina hugs Tasmine*

Tasmine: How have you boys been?

Peter: Great. I'm dating Janae's cousin, Abby.

Jacob: And I'm dating this beautiful girl right here. *puts his arm around Tracey*

Tasmine: Stacey right?

Tracey: Tracey.

Tasmine: Close though. *smiles*

Janae: You want some weed?

Tasmine: Oh thanks. *to Cam* Who are you babe?
Cam: I'm Camryn West, but I'm known to these guys as Cam.

Tasmine: Nice to meet you.

Sabrina: So, where's Denise?

Tasmine: Oh her! I want nothing to do with her anymore.

*Janae and Peter look shocked*

Janae: What happened? *beams*

Tasmine: She stuck her nose into my personal business. So, I more or less told her to p*** off.

Peter: Good on you Taz!

Tracey: So, who are the guys that are with you?

Tasmine: Oh sorry! I was so caught up in catching up with you guys that I didn't introduce you to my brothers!

Sabrina: This'll be interesting.

Tasmine: This is TJ Olagbegi and Jackson Bonetti.

Jackson: Sup guys!

TJ: Hey.

Tasmine: *points at the group in order* This is Tracey Turner, Janae Taylor, Sabrina Wren, Peter Nguyen, Jacob Fomai and Camryn West.

Cam: Do you guys go to Warrawong High as well?

TJ: We go to Lake Illawarra High, but we know Tasmine through the PCYC.

Cam: Oh. Got it now. *smiles*

Janae: What year are you guys in?

TJ: I'm in Year 10.

Jackson: And I'm in Year 11.

Janae: Cool.

Jacob: You like school?

Jackson: Sort of. I'm trying to launch a music career.

Jacob: That's great man. What sort of music?

Jackson: Rap.

Tracey: Well, it's nice to see everyone getting along.

Tasmine: Sure is. *smiles*

*Tracey smiles back*

Sabrina: Let's go to KFC and get a feed.

TJ: Sounds great.

*The group head off*

When everybody has gone home, Janae decides to keep Sabrina and Tasmine at her place to discuss plans for Tracey's birthday.

Janae: What shall we do for Tracey's birthday tomorrow?

Tasmine: Is it her birthday? Oh happy birthday to her for tomorrow. *smiles*

Janae: I was thinking we should take her to Pizza Hut for dinner.

Sabrina: But aren't we doing something at Hotel Illawarra on Saturday night?

Janae: We are, but I wanted us to do something for her beforehand.

Sabrina: Jacob told me he was taking Tracey out for her birthday tomorrow night.

Janae: Damn! It looks like the Pizza Hut will be a lunch thing instead.

Tasmine: How old is she going to be?

Sabrina: 17.

Tasmine: Cool. I'll try to come to the Hotel Illawarra too.

Janae: By the way, guess who's coming back to school next Tuesday?

Tasmine: Who?

Janae: Imoska Lewis.

Sabrina: Here it comes.

Tasmine: I don't remember her.

Janae: I chased her through Westfield in Year 8.

Tasmine: Oh her. She was a bit of a bitch.

Sabrina: She wasn't that bad.

Janae: To you, she wasn't. But she was a bitch to me.

Tasmine: I wouldn't worry about it girl. Just focus about Tracey's birthday.

Janae: Let's make sure Tracey has a great birthday.

Sabrina: You said it bestie!

The next morning (Friday) is Tracey's birthday. She is turning 17.

*Tracey is in bed asleep when she feels something brush against her cheek*

Jacob: Bestie? Bestie, wake up.

*Tracey wakes up and sees Jacob sitting on her bed with a present wrapped in pink and yellow paper*

Tracey: Morning.

Jacob: Happy birthday.

Tracey: Thank you. *hugs Jacob tightly before taking her birthday present* Shall I open it now?

Jacob: Of course. That's what you should do on your birthday. *smiles*

Tracey: I wonder what it is. *opens the present and is shocked when she sees what it is.* Oh, yes! A pink iPhone! I've always wanted one of these. Thank you. *kisses Jacob*

Jacob: I immediately thought of you when I saw that.

Tracey: Thanks.

Jacob: Excited about tonight?

Tracey: Oh absolutely. I can't wait for our birthday dinner tonight. *smiles*

Jacob: Me too. Don't forget, we're going to Pizza Hut for lunch with the group.

Tracey: Sounds great. I better put on my best clothes. What time do we have to be there?

Jacob: Midday.

Tracey: Plenty of time. I love you bestie.

Jacob: Love you too.

*they kiss*

Outside Pizza Hut in Warilla, Janae and Sabrina are smoking weed before the others arrive.

Janae: I'm so excited about tomorrow night. The hotel is going to be so awesome!

Sabrina: You don't say. It sucks that school goes back on Tuesday though.

Janae: Especially seeing that ugly mutt Imoska again. I swear if she starts on me, I'm going to knock her out!

Sabrina: I'm sure Imoska has changed.

Janae: Doubt it.

Sabrina: You can't be sure.

Janae: Fair enough then.

*Abby, Cam and Peter arrive*

Abby: The birthday girl here yet?

Janae: *sarcastically* Does it look like it?

Abby: *to Sabrina* What’s with Miss Grizzle Guts?

Sabrina: She’s just annoyed because Imoska Lewis is coming back to Warrawong High.

Abby: After what she did to my favourite cousin, I don’t blame her for being annoyed.

Cam: Who else is coming?

Peter: She didn’t really say.

Cam: I tried to get Brooke to come, but she’s got a bad case of tonsil disease.

Abby: Tonsillitis?

Cam: That’s right.

*Tasmine arrives with Jackson*

Tasmine: Hey sisters and brothers!

Jackson: ‘Sup?

Janae: Where’s TJ?

Tasmine: He’s not coming today. He had family stuff on.

Janae: He still coming tomorrow night?

Jackson: Course he is.

*Tracey and Jacob finally arrive*

Sabrina: Happy birthday beautiful! *hugs Tracey*

Tracey: Thanks Sabrina.

Janae: Happy birthday bestie! *also hugs Tracey*

Tracey: Thanks bestie. *smiles*

Jacob: Shall we head in?

Tracey: Hope I’ve got the right amount of cash. After all, I’m paying for eleven people.

Janae: Don’t be silly. You’re not paying for your own birthday lunch. Sabrina and I are paying for it.

Tracey: You sure?

Janae: Of course. Eleven people? Who else is coming?

Tracey: Kerry Love and her boyfriend are coming.

Abby: Who’s Kerry Love?

Janae: Ugh, she’s so annoying!

Tracey: A girl in my Maths class.

Janae: Try putting up with her Biology and Modern History. Does my head in.

Sabrina: You don’t say. Her boyfriend Matthew Perrison is a good match for her.

Janae: *laughing* Good one bestie. *high-fives Sabrina*

As the group eat their lunch, Kerry and Matthew are talking about things that don’t interest the others.

Kerry: Matthew is going to take me to Dubbo one weekend to see the zoo.

Matthew: I just love giraffes.

*Janae rolls her eyes*

Tasmine: What’s so interesting about Dubbo? It’s as boring as cats poop!

Kerry: I like the country lifestyle. I was born in Walgett after all.

Tracey: So, do you watch Video Hits?

Kerry: Oh, I don’t watch television. I believe in reading gospel.

*Abby and Cam look at each other, trying very hard not to explode into laughter*

Tracey: I see. That must be very interesting.

Matthew: I watch some TV, but not all the time.

Kerry: My mother watches The Bold and The Beautiful. I think that show is the work of Satan.

Matthew: I think we should leave. We have to meet your mother down at Figtree by 1 o’clock.

Kerry: Happy birthday Tracey. Hope you have a blissful day.

*Janae pulls a funny face*

Tracey: Aren’t you going to stay for the presents?

Kerry: I’m sorry, we can’t. *smiles* But here’s a card. *hands Tracey the birthday card*

Tracey: Thanks.

Matthew: Enjoy your day guys.

Janae: *being fake* Oh we will.

*Kerry and Matthew leave*

Tracey: That was…awkward.

Sabrina: *mocking Kerry* I believe in reading gospel! What a freak!

Cam: She wouldn’t know about reading gospel if her life to depended on it. And I actually GO to church!

Janae: She’s a nutcase!

Tracey: I’m starting to see it now. So, shall we open the presents?

Jacob: I think that’s a good idea. *smiles*

*Tracey opens her presents to reveal a packet of bath bombs (from Abby), two NBA basketball jerseys (both from Jackson), a stuffed pig (from Sabrina), a bottle of perfume (from Cam), a hair straightener (from Janae), a box of Baci chocolates (from Peter) and a pair of pink skating shoes (from Tasmine).*

Jacob: Got one more present for you bestie.

Tracey: What’s that?

*Jacob hands Tracey a jewellery box*

Jacob: Open it.

*Tracey opens it to reveal a pair of diamond earrings*

Tracey: Oh Jacob! They’re beautiful. I’ll wear them out tonight. *smiles*

Jacob: I knew you’d like them. *smiles*

*Tracey and Jacob kiss*

Tracey: I’m so glad I have great friends like you guys.

Abby: That’s what friends are for.

Tracey: I think it’s time we had a group hug.

All: Happy birthday Tracey!

The next morning (Saturday), Tracey wakes up at 10 o'clock.

*Jacob enters her bedroom*

Jacob: Good morning bestie. *smiles*

Tracey: Morning. *looks at her alarm clock* Gee, I slept in. The night was good though.

Jacob: I'm just glad you enjoyed your birthday dinner.

Tracey: We've still got our outing at Hotel Illawarra tonight too.

Jacob: That's right. Did you want to do anything today with the girls?

Tracey: No, I'd rather us spend time together at home.

Jacob: I was going to go see Jamie, but I could do that later.

Tracey: Why not?

*Tracey and Jacob start to kiss*

Janae and Sabrina are walking around Westfield Warrawong.

Janae: I seriously could roll a joint right now.

Sabrina: Me too.

Janae: We’ll go to the stairs after we have lunch.

Sabrina: Sounds like a plan.

*They see one of their old primary school friends coming out of Ice (a women’s clothing store)*

Sabrina: Oh my god, that’s Mary Cullen.

Janae: Where?

Sabrina: There. *points at a girl with long dark brown hair around 16-17 years-old*

Janae: It is too. She probably won’t recognise us. We haven’t seen her since primary school.

Sabrina: *calling out* Mary!

*Mary looks up at Sabrina and Janae*

Mary: Sabrina Wren? Oh my gosh! How ARE you? *gives Sabrina a hug*

Sabrina: Couldn’t be any better. How have you been?

Mary: Busy with church and school. *looks at Janae* Hey Janae! How are you?

Janae: Great thanks. I miss you. *hugs Mary*

Mary: I’m surprised you two still remember me. What high school do you guys go to?

Janae: We go to Warrawong High. How about you?

Mary: I go to Kanahooka High.

Sabrina: I hear it’s a good school.

Mary: Do you still see Peter Nguyen around? I thought he was really cute.

Sabrina: Yeah he goes to Warrawong High as well.

Mary: How is he?

Janae: He’s doing well. He’s actually dating my cousin Abby now.

Mary: Oh that’s nice. You girls hanging out for the day?

Sabrina: Yeah. We’re just chilling before we go to our friend’s birthday party down at Hotel Illawarra tonight.

Mary: Oh cool. I’m just shopping.

Janae: Would you like to have lunch with us sometime?

Mary: I’d like that. Well, it was great seeing you.

Janae: We’ll let Peter know you said hello.

Sabrina: Did you want to have lunch now?

Janae: It’s only 10:25. Let’s go to the stairs and roll a joint.

Sabrina: Sounds like a plan.

*they head towards the nearest exit*

That afternoon, Tasmine is riding her skateboard around the street where she lives, being cheered on by TJ and Jackson.

TJ: GO TAZ!

Jackson: Don’t stack it bitch.

*Tasmine comes off her skateboard after making a perfect dismount*

Tasmine: Didn’t stack it bros! *high-fives both Jackson and TJ*

Jackson: For a chick, you sure know how to skate well.

Tasmine: And what’s that supposed to mean you sexist pig? *playfully hits Jackson*

Jackson: Nothing.

TJ: I can’t wait for tonight.

Tasmine: Me too. How about you Jackson?

Jackson: Excited!

Tasmine: Got any smokes?

Jackson: Used up my last packet this morning.

TJ: Here you go Taz. *gives Tasmine a smoke*

Tasmine: Thanks babe. *smokes the cigarette*

Jackson: What time did we have to be there again?

Tasmine: I think she said 7 o’clock.

TJ: We’ll turn up at ten to seven. Just in case.

Tasmine: Sounds like a plan. *smiles*

TJ/Jackson: Awesome!

That night, Tracey and Jacob arrive at the Hotel Illawarra to celebrate her 17th birthday.

Tracey: It’s pretty packed.

Jacob: It would be on a Saturday night.

Tracey: Just hope they find us.

*Tracey and Jacob sit at a table near the bar*

Jacob: I’m sure they’ll turn up.

*Janae arrives*

Tracey: Bestie!

Janae: Hey bestie. Happy birthday again. *hugs Tracey*

Jacob: Hey Janae.

Tracey: I thought Sabrina was coming with you.

Janae: She had to…do something important.

Tracey: She’s got a surprise for me hasn’t she?

Janae: I guess you could say that. *smiles*

*Peter, Abby and Cam arrive next*

Peter: Hey everyone.

Tracey: Hey Peter. *hugs him first, then Cam and Abby*

Jacob: How are you man?

Peter: Good thanks man.

*As they sit down, Sabrina arrives with Leah*

Sabrina: Hello. *greets everyone by hugging them* Look who’s here with me.

Tracey: Leah! I’m so glad you could come.

Leah: Happy birthday sweetie. *gives Tracey a present before kissing her on the cheek* How is everyone?

All: Good.

*Tasmine, Jackson and TJ soon arrive and greet everyone*

Abby: Fancy seeing you in a dress, Tasmine.

Tasmine: It’s a special occasion. *to TJ* Do you have Tracey’s present?

TJ: Sure do. *gives the present to Tracey* Happy birthday beautiful girl.

Tracey: Thanks TJ. Should I open them now?

Leah: Sounds like a plan.

*Tracey opens Leah’s present first. It’s a candle set.*

Tracey: Thanks Leah. I like it a lot.

TJ: I bet you’ll like my present.

*Tracey then opens TJ’s present. It’s an Australis make-up kit.*

Tracey: Love it TJ. Thanks. *hugs him*

TJ: You’re welcome.

Cam: Shall we get this party started?

Jackson: Drinks on the house!

All: Yeah.

(Later, Tracey and Jacob go outside as the others are dancing.)

Jacob: Are you having a great time?

Tracey: The best. I just want to say something.

Jacob: What’s that?

Tracey: I just want to say that if I didn’t come to Warrawong and meet you and all my friends, I don’t know where I’d be.

Jacob: But don’t you have friends in the city and from your old high schools?

Tracey: I do. It’s just that, I’m becoming a different person now that I’m with you. And that’s a good thing. *smiles*

Jacob: I love you bestie. *hugs Tracey*

Tracey: I love you too.

*they kiss passionately*
