It took me a week of on-off reading to catch up with this fic, and I cannot believe how it ended! Why did you have to leave it at such an evil cliffie?! :(

First with Aden, and now with Faith! I'm really hoping, and kinda begging, that that really was just a dream by Belle. I don't want Faith to die... I've become really attached to her in this fic.

Other than that, this fic is going fantastically! It's got me sucked in, and I can't believe just how you managed to turn things in that last chapter! I really hope it's a dream... :(

Cannot wait for more. Hope you enjoy your vacation!

Hey everyone..!!

I'm back from my holidays, burnt all over, but ready to resume my story!!

It's a bit too late to start now, but I'm gona give you all a little sneak peak!!

Hope y'all like it..!!

Faith

I looked up at the person whose hand I now held.

Mum had disappeared...

I was now ready to go.

But then the person smiled at me and said, "Faith, your not ready to go yet."

I frowned. "But I here the voices! They're calling my name."

"Yes they are," said the person, smiling softly. "But listen, what do you them saying?"

I closed my eyes and listened carefully.

I was shocked by what I heard.

When I opened my eyes, the person was beaming down at me.

"You understand?" he said.

I nodded my head. "Yes I understand. I shall wait a bit longer."

"So, your going back?"

I nodded again. "Yes. I'm going back."

The person smiled again but then their face turned solemn.

"When one soul leaves another must take their place."

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

"You've made your decision to leave...someone must now take your place."

"Then no," I cried. "I'll go instead, no one's dying over me!"

The person shook their head.

"I'm sorry, you've already made your decision. Your time here is almost up. The light should be fading."

I shook my head, tears running down my cheeks.

"Who's dying? Whose going to take my place?"

The person smiled.

"All will be revealed when you wake up."

And then, as the person and the light began to fade away, I heard another voice calling my name. I gently, soothing, tender loving voice.

"Faith sweety, can you hear me?" it said.

Dad.

And then I knew I was back home.

Let me know what you think!!

Aden

As I opened the door and saw my beautiful daughter lying on the bed, her eyes closed, her face peaceful, the whole day flashed before my eyes.

As Belle had left the living room, the phone rang beside me.

I picked it up.

I heard Ruby's voice.

I dropped the phone.

I saw Belle come rushing into the room.

She saw my face.

She ran over and took my hand.

The rest was a blur.

Now Belle was sitting at the end of Faith's bed, her face hidden in her hands. Her body was shaking.

She looked up briefly as I closed the door.

"Anything?" she asked hopefully.

I shook my head.

She looked away again, more tears rolling down her cheeks. She let out a small moan as she looked up at our daughter's face.

I didn't know what to do. I just stood there watching my wife crumble into little pieces.

I felt hopeless, useless.

Then Belle stood up and walked towards the door, avoiding my eyes.

"I going to talk to Ruby," she said, opening the door quietly. "She must know something more."

I watched as she closed the door, and then I took her place at the end of Faith's bed.

I took my daughter hand and began rubbing soothing circles around her palm.

"I'm going to sing you something honey," I whispered, looking at Faith's face. "I remember my mother use to hum it to me when I was scared or I couldn't sleep."

Smiling lightly at the distant memory, I closed my eyes and began to hum.

The song had five verses, I remembered it exactly.

I had pretended to be scared just to hear my mother sing it. It was so beautiful, it had always sent me off into a peaceful sleep, free of nightmares.

As the song wove into it fifth verse, I felt slight pressure against my palm.

I froze.

Had I just imagined that.

I stayed silent, hoping to feel it again.

A glimmer of hope fluttered through my as I felt Faith's fingers squeeze my hand gently.

"Faith, darling," I stayed, standing up and looking into my daughter's eye.

Putting my hand on her cheek, I waited, hoping and dreaming.

Then Faith's eyelids fluttered, opening a crack. For a brief second, they met mine.

"Faith sweety, can you hear me?"

Faith's eyelids closed once more, and then her lips spread into a small smile.

"Dad."

It was then. It was then that I knew that Faith was going to be alright.

My little girl was going to be ok.

Belle

I closed the door as I stepped outside of Faith's room.

Falling back against the door, I slid down and buried my head in my hands as the memories came flooding back. I was unable to hold back my tears.

I could see Aden's heartbroken expression as I turned and left the room.

I hated hurting him even more, but I just couldn't do it.

I couldn't be in the same room as him.

He reminded me too much of her.

Too much of Faith.

Walking into her room, and lying down on her bed, I closed my eyes and let out a deep breath.

Through all the heartache, just been in her room was like a breath of fresh air.

I had been lying there less than five minutes when I heard a loud crash in the kitchen.

I ran quickly into the kitchen, and saw Aden standing frozen behind the counter, the broken phone scattered at his feet.

"Aden, darling, what's happened?" I asked, rushing over and taking his hand.

Aden shook his head, a single tear rolling down his cheek.

I squeezed his hand in what was hopefully a reassuring way.

Aden looked up.

"Faith. Hospital."

Now we were here, waiting, hoping, wishing for Faith to wake up.

Ruby had said she was suffering from hypothermia.

In the days Max had held her hostage, she had been left out in the freezing cold at night.

Her body temperature had dropped to low.

She had collapsed and had a seizure due to her extremely low body temperature.

Remembering this story, reminded me of the O' Grady's.

The glorious O' Grady's.

They were the reason Faith was alive at all.

Walking down the corridor, I saw them huddled in the corner, Mrs O' Grady, her arm wrapped supportively around her Conor's back, Mr O' Grady watching them both adoringly.

Mrs O' Grady looked up as she heard me coming.

"Ms Taylor," she said, standing up and taking my hands in hers. "How's dear Faith?"

"Is there any change?" asked Conor anxiously.

I smiled at Conor sadly. I could see he really cared for Faith.

"I'm sorry there's no change."

Mrs O' Grady smiled sadly.

"Well she's in our prayers, dear," she said, putting a supporting hand on my shoulder. "Surely God will save someone so pure and innocent."

I smiled. "I hope that too."

Suddenly a spasm of pain shot through my tummy.

"Oh my God," I said, grabbing my bulging stomach.

"Dear," said Mrs O' Grady anxiously, looking from my eyes to my bump.

I saw Mr O' Grady stand up, I saw Conor pale face flood with panic, I saw Mrs O' Grady looked worriedly at her husband.

And then, my world faded away.

Thanks for reading..!!

Let me know what you think..!!
