Then read on… Chapter three Martha had prepared a romantic dinner for Jack at home that evening. She had to admit that Jack was the better cook, but she hoped he appreciated her effort. Jack walked through the door, and smiled at the sight of his wife. “What’s all this?” Jack asked, taking Martha into his arms. Martha put her arms round his neck, “I thought we could have a nice night in.” “Sounds good,” Jack replied, his lips mere inches away from Martha’s, making her shiver. Jack leaned in and captured Martha’s mouth with his. They finally broke apart, “I love you” Martha told her husband adoringly. She couldn’t be more in love, and thought she was the luckiest woman alive. “I love you too” Jack replied. Martha served up the food, and sat down opposite Jack. “What are you doing all the way over there?” Jack asked her, smiling. Martha smiled and moved to sit down next to Jack, and he put his arm round her waist. They enjoyed a very romantic dinner together, just enjoying being together. When they had finished, Jack put some music on, and held out his hand. “Dance with me?” Jack asked. Martha chuckled and smiled. She took Jack’s hand, and quickly moved into his arms. Jack held her tightly, and they swayed to the music, enjoying the feel of being in each other’s arms. At the end of the song, Jack twirled Martha and then dipped her. They shared another passionate kiss, before Martha pulled away. “Jack there’s something I have to tell you.” Martha said shyly, still holding Jack’s hand. “What is it?” “Jack, I’m pregnant.” A grin quickly spread onto Jack’s face. “Really?” Jack grabbed Martha and spun her round. “I’m trying to play down the sickness, Jack,” Martha laughed. “Sorry.” Martha kissed him. “There’s no need to be sorry.” “I love you,” Jack exclaimed. “I love you too,” Martha replied. Jack took Martha’s hand and led her to the sofa, where they snuggled up together. “I can’t believe we’re gonna have a baby,” Jack exclaimed. “I don’t think I could be happier right now,” Martha wrapped her arms even tighter round Jack, who reciprocated.
