Chapter 5

‘So the drug case was a lie’ asked Jack.

‘Yeah that was the only way we could keep you away from the truth’ said Peter.

‘The truth and what is the TRUTH!’ shouted Jack.

‘Will you just listen..’ said Claire.

‘When I and Pete was together in the City we got a call from Yabbie creek station and they told us that a girl had gone missing from Summer Bay.

Pete and I decided to come back to the Bay and look around but we found nothing’ said Claire.

‘Is this Laura McPherson’ asked Jack.

‘Yeah the case that I took off you’ said Peter.

‘so… that is the body you found in the explosion and Eve is still alive’ asked Jack.

‘Wow you have been doing your home work’ said Peter.

‘Pete…’ said Claire.

‘Sorry but if he would of kept out of my way we wouldn’t be in this mess’ said Peter.

‘Well if you would of kept things more discrete he would not of got suspicious’ said Claire.

Jack starts to get flash back of looking round the container the night he got hit and how Peter lied to him.

‘Hang on…. That means you were the one who attacked me’ shouted Jack who was getting really mad.

‘I had to’ said Peter

‘You HAD TO, what kind of S*** excuse is that’ shouted Jack as he got up in Peters face.

‘Jack sit down and just listen’ shouted Claire as she pulls on Jack’s arm.

‘Give me one reason why I shouldn’t go to McGrath about this…… hold on give you one reason what am I talking about I’m going their now’ Jack goes to walk towards the door.

But Peter stops him saying ‘If you do this it will be the end of the case and I will lose my job for good,

If you work on the case with us we can catch Eve without McGrath finding out.

When we catch Eve I will put my resignation on McGrath desk. But I can’t lose my job while she is still on the lose’ said Peter.

‘Its not just your job on the line here mine is as well if they find out I knew what you two are doing’ said Jack.

‘I promise you that I will take the rap for everything yours and Claire’s name will not be mentioned’ said Peter.

Chapter 6

‘Are we nearly there yet I need a wee’ shouted Matilda.

‘Yeah about 15 minutes to go’ said Alf.

‘do us proud wont you Ric’ said sally.

‘Mum would I ever let you down?’ replied Ric.

‘I can see the beach look on the left’ said Colleen.

‘Wow there are camera crews and everything’ said Barry.

‘Mum I forgot to put clean shorts on’ Ric laughed as he was telling Sally.

Everyone started to laugh at Ric’s comment.

‘Of course I have clean shorts on I only wear these for comps’ said Ric.

‘Here we are’ said Alf.

The coach pulls into near the beach and everyone starts to get off the coach.

A man walks up to them and says ‘everyone who is competing to meet him at the main surf point in 2 hours’.

Martha rings Jacks mobile.

(Peters place)

Jacks mobile starts to ring.

‘Hello’ jack said.

‘Babe where are you, the competition starts in 2 hours and you need to get here before then?’ said Martha.

‘I’m still with Pete and we are still talking, don’t worries I can’t miss a surfing comp see you in 30 minutes babe, love you. Replied Jack.

Jack puts the phone down.

‘A surfing comp?’ asked Peter.

‘Yeah there is one in hills bow in 2 hrs and I’m competing’ said Jack.

‘Well I think I should as well and let everyone see that I do things outside of work’ said Peter.

‘Claire I think you should come as well, I will make up some excuse that we are just friends and you are hear for a holiday’ said Peter.

‘You think it’s that easy’ asked Jack.

‘We will go today and have a good day then come back tomorrow and start on the case’ said Peter.

‘Ok that sounds ok’ said Claire.

‘I will drive I got my new car today’ said Peter.

‘What car’ asked Jack?

‘MASERATI QUATTROPORTE’ said Peter.

‘You had that Volvo yesterday now this…’ said Jack.

‘Well that’s what an affair with an accountant is for mate’ replied Peter.

Jack laughed and Claire just looked at Peter.

‘Well let’s go’ said Peter.

They got in the car and headed down to Hills bow.

It was really quiet in the car until Peter put on his radio until Elvis Presley came on and Jack laughed thinking about how this song reminded him of his first prom.

‘You like Elvis mate?’ asked Peter.

‘Yeah love him’ said Jack.

‘Same here’ laughed Peter.

Jack felt like he was making progress with Peter and now they can be mates now he knows the truth.

Peter pulls into the beach when they are greeted by Ric and Tony.

‘Hurry up mate’ said Tony.

‘Don’t worry I’m coming plus we have another competitor!’ said Jack.

Tony looking at Peter and thinks S*** Pete’s good.

‘Your not are you’ asked Tony

‘I sure am mate you ready’ said Peter.

‘What do you mean dad by you not are you?’ asked Jack.

‘Well when I, Dan and Pete went for a drink one night, Dan told us how his brother has won 3 1st position medals for surfing.

‘Pete you did not tell me’ said Jack

‘Well I thought it would be fun for you not to know’ said Peter.

‘Well any way I better get changed but before We go, Tony this is Claire’ said Peter

‘Hiya’ said Claire

‘Hey’ replied Tony.

‘Can you take Claire over to where the others are’ asked Pete.

‘Yeah sure’ Tony said.

Tony and Claire walked over to the others where Claire was greeted by everyone.

‘Hey stranger hows things?’ asked Sally

‘Hey, I’m good. I just thought I would pop down here to see how everyone is while I have time off my busy schedule.

‘Great, come sit down here I’m sure colleen will not mind’ said Sally

Claire and Sally laughed.

Chapter 7

Pete, Tony, Ric, Lucas, Kim and Tony went up to their starting positions and the competition started.

The competition lasted for about 20 minutes before a winner was decided.

Peter and Jack was joint 1st.

Kim was 2nd

Tony was 3rd

Lucas came 5th

The rest of the surfers did not get in the top 6.

Jack and Peter are walking up the beach towards the others.

‘Well that was fun’ Jack said to Peter.

‘Yeah it was Mate I’m sorry about before’ said Jack.

‘Don’t apologise I should be saying sorry I should have had you in on the case from the start’ said Peter.

‘We ok now then’ asked Jack.

‘Yeah mates were cool’ replied Peter.

‘But one thing, I know Martha got told about Eve being Alive but you must keep what we have told you to yourself because the case could be put in jeopardy. Martha must not no!!!’ said Peter.

‘Ok’ replied Jack.

‘You coming back to Noah’s for a drink?’ asked Peter.

‘Yeah sure why not, erm but can I ask a big favour?’ Jack said.

‘And what would that be?’ asked Peter.

‘Could I and Martha drive back in your car, the car is what she has always wanted!’

‘Yeah sure mate but I want it back in one peace’ said Peter.

Everyone was getting back on the coach including Peter and Claire because Peter leant Jack his car to drive back to summer Bay.

The coach set off back to Summer Bay and everyone was really happy and laughing and joking with each other.

The coach is driving down Turners Lane when there is a bang and a hissing noise coming from the wheels.

‘What the hell was that’ shouted colleen.

Peter rushed to the back window and see’s road stings on the road and Martha and Jack driving his car who go over the road stings aswell. Jack and Martha’s car is going out of control and is speeding past the coach.

Alf frantically is telling the driver to break but the breaks are not working and the car is going all over the road.

‘THERE IS A CLIFF, A CLIFF I TELL YOU ’ colleen shouted.

Matilda and Lucas start screaming and panicking.

‘stroke the flaming……’ shouted Alf.

The coach is about 15 metres away from the cliff when they see Pete’s car go over the cliff with Martha and Jack inn.

‘Everyone sit down put your seat belts on NOW’ shouted Alf.

The coach is getting closer to the cliff and everyone is crying a frantically screaming.

The coach is about 3 metres away from the cliff edge.

Everyone is still screaming and holding on for their life.

Leaving it there is just darn mean! Please, please, please update soon! Pretty please! Dear Lord I hope Martha and Jack are o.k. It would be really, really bad if they wern't! Not even going to think about that because it's too upsetting! I'm getting ahead of myself again, i'll shut up now. *slaps self on the wrist*

Chapter 8

‘Mum’ Matilda shouted repeatedly.

‘Maddie over here quick’ said Tony who’s leg was wedged under a piece of wood.

Matilda ran over towards Tony and tried to help him get free but there was no use. Over looking the cliff was a person wearing a black hoody saying ‘One nil’ over and over again.

At the bottom on the cliff Matilda was looking around but there was just bags being washed up from the sea where the coach landed.

Matilda starts to get really upset and Tony hugs her saying ‘Everything will be ok’.

While Tony is comforting Matilda she sees’s someone in the water.

‘Look over there’ shouted Tony.

‘Where’ asked Matilda.

Tony pointed to where the person was and Matilda rushed in to the water.

‘Its Peter’ shouted Matilda as she dragged him over to where Tony was.

Matilda started mouth to mouth and peter started coughing and woke up.

‘You ok mate’ asked Tony.

‘What happened’ asked Peter as he tried to stop the cut bleeding what was on his head.

‘I don’t know but we are the only three that are here’ said Matilda.

‘Don’t worry we will find everyone’ said Tony.

After about three hours Peter and Tony are trying to figure out a way get up the cliff when thy hear someone shouting ‘Help please help’. As Peter turned round he could see Beth, Sally, Ric, Pippa carrying Irene who looks seriously injured.

‘She needs a doctor else she is going to die’ shouted Colleen.

‘Peter you help her surely you have had training’ shouted Beth

Ok move out the way.

‘She has a pulse but it’s weak.

I need someone to get some towels that are in the bags over there’ said Peter.

‘Keep her warm and I will go for help’ said Peter.

‘Ric you go as well’ said Sally.

Ric and Peter left and started to walk through the bush to get to higher ground.

Peter and Ric get to higher ground when they see a body in the sea.

‘Look down there’ Ric shouted to Sally who was with Irene.

Beth ran in the water and found Alf who was unconscious.

Sally helped Beth bring him to shore but it was too late he was dead.

‘Ow nooooo’ shouted Sally whilst she hugged Alf tightly.

Peter and Ric got to the top of the cliff when they seen a car heading towards them… Its Dan and Leah.

(The bush)

‘Please Jack wake up I love you please’ said Martha as she frantically shock Jack but it was no use….

‘I love you babe and I always will’

Jacks eyes suddenly open and look towards his beautiful girl friend.

Martha kissed Jack passionately and held him in her arms waiting for people to come and help.

Martha fell asleep holding Jack but when she woke up Jack wasn’t breathing.

‘Noooooooo’ Martha screamed as tears rolled down her eyes.
