I wouldn't call completely unnoticed, he and Evie did have some farewell scenes with some of the key characters such as Alf, Leah, Zac and some others, but I will agree with you that there should have been more farewells from others such as Mason and Hunter.

A very good start to this fanfiction. ? I liked how open each of the Morgans were when admitting to their friends, and I love how caring Olivia, Nate and Phoebe were. The stuff with Raffy and Decker was nice as well. I look forward to more. ?

That is possible. I like both Hannah and Tori, even though neither are perfect (then again, who is?), and there are a lot of similarities between the two.

The Big Short.

Thanks, Mcgarry, I'm really glad you and everyone is enjoying the story, it really means a lot. Don't worry, I'll be updating it soon.

Yeah. I didn't like it either, I did sympathise with him losing his baby, and I get his anger and want for revenge, but obviously it's not the right way to go around things. Also, the fact that he was told many times that hunting down Robbo wasn't what Kat want, but still did it anyway made it clear that, even though he obviously did care for Kat, Ash was doing all this for himself, which makes it even more unlikeable. And because of his actions, Justin, Alf and Roo were nearly killed. And the way he just paraded around the town threatening people and how he taunted Robbo afterwards and just expect people to be on his side, was even worse. Though I lost a lot of sympathy in that time, I still felt it for him near the end, and when he returned,he was more likeable. Still, after all he suffered, even though he was very wrong this year. I'm glad he left happy.

Actaully no, I'll make sure to do that, thanks.

Could someone help me please, I wanted to post something on the what do you think forum and it won't let me. I have a title and the question, but it still wouldn't let me submit the topic. What am I doing wrong?

Darryl 'Brax' Braxton - Steve Peacocke
D.B replied to dncllpyk's topic in Character/Actor Discussion
Even though the character's well gone now, This is my view on Brax. While everyone has their own opinions and I respect everyone's views on this forum (even if I don't agree with them), I have to really disagree with all the Brax-haters out there. I know he's not perfect and he's done a lot of crimes I didn't and still don't approve of, but the fact that he's not perfect is one of the reasons that I like him. No-one is perfect and Brax, while having several flaws, has shown some very admirable qualities, especially his loyalty to his family (which seemed to take a year-long holiday in 2015! ?). I didn't like him much in 2011, but even then I could see that he did have a good side to him. I didn't like/agree with some of his outside-the-law behaviour like a lot of others here, but as the old saying goes, while a good act doesn't wash out the bad, a bad act doesn't wash out the good. While there are a number of actions he shouldn't have done, like shooting Angelo or robbing Sam, there's still some good acts he did, like raising the money to save Pippa without looking for credit or risking his own life/freedom to save Ricky, Jett, Casey, and several others and accepting Kyle into the family despite his previous actions, that shouldn't be ignored. Also the claim that Brax is responsible for what happened to Casey is, in my opinion, utterly ridiculous. Heath was the one who started the war with the Pirovics and Brax, Casey and Charlie were the ones to suffer. Brax's responsible for his own messes, but not all of it. Again, I respect everyone's opinion here, and maybe I'm being more fairer to Brax than I should, especially since the way he did things in 2015 and the fact that I didn't want Ricky and Casey to run off with him, but still I feel like it's a bit to much. -
Maggie is my second favourite of the Astonis after Ziggy, she's been so brave during this whole thing.

Yes, I'll give credit to Andy for this, he did behave very nice when Marilyn was in a very vulnerable state. As you said, he is capable of being a decent person and, as I said, he had a caring side, like we saw when he looked for Oscar when he went missing, or when he became Hannah's carer when she had the accident, or when she comforted Evie when she heard that Charlotte killed Denny. He had some scenes of him being a nice guy, which is more than other characters that we're supposed to believe were always good guys, like Hunter or Tank. But that dark side of him, sadly, seemed sometimes to completely take over, even when he didn't mean to. Also, mentioning this now, I'm probably going against the grain here, but I actually liked how he confronted Tank when he got released, it showed that he still remembered that Tank almost killed Josh in a cowardly manner, so I can understand where Andy was coming from.

Ricky really has picked out a good one, hasn't she! ? Yeah, I didn't want them to go running ahead of themselves, they're both just found these feelings and revealed them to each other. I think it would be realistic to see them both take baby steps with this. I've been thinking on this for a while who Ricky could confide to. As I said in the story, she feared that Kyle's loyalty to his brothers (one of his best qualities) would get the better of him, and for that she couldn't really tell Tamara for this either. And she wouldn't be able to trust Kat or Pheobe to keep quiet, in my opinion! I've been thinking actually about Josh, they're both close in the show, and since he's gay, he would be more open up to Ricky. This is Summer bay after all, where secrets aren't very well kept! ? That's probably what I would think would happen as well!? Don't worry, I will post the next chapter soon. Thanks again, guys for commenting and being patient. I will be updating it soon. ?

I suppose you're right, I don't think that Hunter meant really anything in 2016 (except trying to kill Andy) to happen, it's easier, I guess, to blame him for everything when in really, there were other factors. But I still hold him responsible for the burning, the theft and the aftermath.

Hunter King is without a doubt is probably the worst character to be brought in the recent years. I do feel like he has matured on the last year or so, but we rarely see him do anything nice. He burned Leah's house, nearly killing Oscar, Matt, Zac, and Billie. Then he puts the blame on Billie, and tries to break up Zac and Leah. The he steals the safe from the diner, seriously injuring Marilyn, resulted in Charlotte covering for him, killing Denny and Trystan, getting involved with Gunno (which put Ricky and Casey in danger), and trying to kill Kat. All this resulted in Josh killing Charlotte, which leads us to 2016: Zac being arrested in stabbed in prison, Tank returning and causing more trouble, Dylan attacking Kat and Ash, Maddy getting cyber-bullied and of course, caused the explosion in the caravan park, killing Oscar and Hannah, maiming Maddy and Ricky, causing great heart-break for Evie, Nate, Chris, Matt, Zac, Leah,BIllie, Roo and Andy, and causing the rift between Skye and John. Then he stabbed Andy in the cop-shop, gets only community service, acts like a total jerk towards Josh, Jordan and Olivia (who, for some unbelievable reason, thinks he's a good guy, even though she knows everything he's done and show no remorse). A year later, when Charlotte's mother did the actual right thing and told the police, Hnuter only then thought it was right to tell Marilyn the truth, when McCarthy already knew and processed him. And did the people of Summer Bay turn on Hunter and Olivia and let the police throw them in jail to rot? Of course not! That would be the right thing to do, and Home and Away doesn't know how to do that. Marilyn, John, Alf, Leah, Irene, all the rest just gave them a pat on the back and just assumed they learned their lesson! And also it's easier that Zac and Evie moved away now, so Hunter doesn't have to face up to the family he's hurt the most. God, this makes me shake in anger! The only thing that will restore my previous, unshaken faith in the show, is that Hunter gets his comeuppance, one way or another. The chances are slim, but I am hopeful for justice.

I absolutely love this story, it's so incredibly insane, it's funny! I probably haven't seen anything as hilarious as this. Well done Pembie! Honestly the entire time I was reading this, I was going "so many puns, so little time!" Loved the idea of Irene as a witch and turning Leah into a cat and Nate and Ash into frogs. She doesn't mess around, does she?! And Alf being all nervous trying to ask her out....amazing! Mick burning Kat in her car..well I can't say I'm sorry!? Brody making gingerbread men because it was the witches' weakness... so unique and hilarious. How do you come up with this stuff? Loved Matt and Chris in this and their wacky adventures, Chris in the time travelling washing machine and Matt trying to care for a panda! A very unusual gift from Evie! All the rest, VJ and Billie with Luc (the way it should have been in the show!), Hunter turning into a hobbit, his father a wizard, Tori forced to kiss a frog, Brax being a time-traveling River Boy, all of it wonderful! Well done and thank you for sharing this with us! I know it's a bit late commenting on it now, but I only just discovered this a while back, so well done again!

The Avengers: Infinity War

Well. I might just do my overall view on Andy and Josh: Andy; definitely one of my worst characters, because unlike other characters that come from his kind of background, like the Braxtons, Xavior, or even Ash, he has shown nothing to prove that he has changed. That he wants to change, is debatable, I like to think the best of characters, but he hasn't really change, he is still pretty much a thug. However, I will admit he has had his good bits, mostly with Oscar, Josh or Hannah. He does have a caring side, but his usual bad way of thinking gets in the way of things often and usually overshadows his caring side. Him killing Pirovic, I was conflicted, because on one hand, Pirovic was a dangerous, murederous pyschopath who needed to be put off the streets, and also, as Slade mentioned here, he could have gone after anyone else if he lived. He has shown no problems with killing anyone, meaning that Brax,Ricky,Heath,Biannca,Kyle,Pheobe,Andy,Josh,Evie,Denny, or even Darcy and Harley were in danger. But the cold-blooded way Andy acted when he did it, not showing any qualms or hesitation (even if it is Pirovic), did put me off him. However, I don't think Andy is to blame entirely for the explosion. Josh; he was my favourite of the Braxton-Barrett group, he was really the one who wanted to change his life around the most, to step away from the crime and to live a decent life. And the writers reward his efforts by making him, though accidentally, kill Charlotte and covering it up. I hated this so much because it was entirely out of character of him on both counts. I didn't mind that he killed Charlotte, because firstly, it was an accident and self-defence, and secondly, she was a dangerous murederous pyschopath who deserved what she got, but covering up and letting Zac and others go to prison, ultimately leading to unbelievable heartbreak and tragedy for Evie, the girl Josh loved, that I didn't like. But I feel like the writers could have shown some mental breakdown of him following the incident, that would have been in more of character. I wished they would have shown us his side to it than just letting us think that he's a cold-blooded killer. However, he still gets points on my book because he didn't mean any harm. It makes me sad to see him, who just made mistakes and didn't mean any harm to be spat on mercilessly, while other who did mean harm (Ruby, Ash, Hugo, Hunter, Tank, etc) get treated in these forums pretty lightly.

Yeah, the two of them still have a lot of things to deal with. Like Kyle, I mean how would he react if (and when) he finds out that his brothers' exes are for each other? Not well, I think. I'm glad that you enjoyed this. Also glad you liked all the couples as well, I felt like adding all these characters in this, even if it is in a small way.
-
Agree 100% with what you said first. Brax should have trusted Kyle before Ash. As for Kyle and Tori... I've never thought about it but that could be interesting.
-
It sadly didn't take long for the writers to ruin Jasmine, that's too sad, I really liked her at the start and my hope for her is gradually getting lower..
-
Me as well definitely.
-
You're right, it would be great to see that the two of them would still be great friends, especially since they're from the opposite sex. We don't really have that much on Home and Away, most relationships between the opposite sexes usually end up as couples. In fact the only two exceptions to this I can think of in recent years have been Nate and Leah and Brody and Evie. Robbo and Tori have been through a lot together this past year and if we can see them as friends who can rely on each other without trying to get into each other's pants, I will be satisfied.
-
I was also referring to your own fanfictions, I've read a lot of them and they're just amazing and hilarious.
-
Oh my god, Pembie, you never fail to make me laugh! ? I'm not actually sure about bringing Brax back in this fanfiction, I have never really thought about it, but it would make for extra drama, especially in the way you describe it! I will think about it. Thanks for commenting.

Yes, I couldn't just have the two act like it never happened, so yeah, things are very awkward, but don't worry they will still be alright together, and now they maybe can act on their feelings to make them the couple we all want them to be..or at least I want them to be. LOL! ? I couldn't not have this happen. I so wanted this to happen in real life, so it's great that Kyle and Tamara can find happiness in each other in my story. You're right Red, now Denny and Ricky are now in the same page, but they have to know that they both feel the same. Well, at the engagement party next chapter, things might happen. Thanks for responding.
