  1. So he's like Beyonce? That's kind of funny!
  2. Wikipedia says he's 31. I'm confused.
  3. That's such a cop out. Why am i even surprised though? This show....
  4. Bryan Kirkwood should sign him up for Hollyoaks. He could have his shirt off all day and would fit in nicely with the "calibre" of acting shown there at the moment, i.e. not much.
  5. We aren't suppose to remember that... I have a question. Who is the father of Tasha's baby if Jonah is sterile? I've always felt this was a retcon that wasn't thought through 100% or is there a genuine answer?
  6. He's yet another wasted opportunity. Thanks writers!
  7. LOL. Never. When have they EVER admitted their mistakes? They'll just continue to stick their fingers in their ears and go "La la la la la i am not listening"
  8. I didn't want to think this but after seeing the last few episode he's been in you are correct. If they wanted Matt Little so much, fine. Create a new character for him. But to sacrifice a long running character like V.J. for what? Nepotism at it's finest folks.
  9. Hmm.. Sorry, don't agree. Flynn didn't really change, neither did Hayley that much. With V.J. It's like it's this secret child of Leah's we have never seen before has come to town. Completely different to what he was before.
  10. It's only recently i've noticed that with usually only one exception per era, lets say Dex for instance even back to the Welsh days 99% of the males have to be alpha/macho or have a high degree of that. That was never, ever V.J. who knew how to stay in his own lane. The fact that it's been changed does annoy me no end.
  11. How quickly we forget the miracle that was Xavier...
  12. Yeah. I agree. He's been wasted.
  13. Oh yes, he didn't start off as a guest character, was mean and sarcastic to people to hide his problems with himself and at home, once he left home and was welcomed into someone else's he saw that if he got an education his life could get better. He also didn't fall in love with a smart, dark haired no-nonsense girl. I could go on. So no he's nothing like Aiden.
  14. A low-rent Aiden. Sorry, that's about as nice as i can be.
  15. But that is part of the character. I know that you don't mean Emily Symons looks old, but if you think Marilyn appears older than her age, fair enough - that's a major part of the character. She's always been perceived as 'older' by some of the audience (I don't personally perceive her as older, I perceive her as a bubbly 30-something, with a perhaps slightly dated/unique dress sense), I remember reading an interview with Emily Symons back in 1998 and she said that people in the street told her that she looked old and ugly in the show and asked her why she let the producers do that to her.... but Emily always seems very adamant that Marilyn should stay as she is. That really is what helps to make a character, a character, rather than an actor just being themselves with a different name (which seems to happen to almost all of the characters in H&A). As you say, Marilyn is pretty much the most stylised in the show and I think that's great attention to detail, if they started to tone it all down and make Marilyn look more like Emily, then she would start to become Emily instead of Marilyn. They used to put a lot more attention to detail when it came to defining a character, giving them a distinct personality and then dressing them according to that personality (like Irene for example. Irene would never dress in the clothes she wears these days and that's because they've changed the character so that she is more Lynne McGranger instead of Irene). They even did it with the sets and dressing the houses to suit the characters personality.... but not anymore. Now H&A concentrates on making all of the characters and the set's very glamorous and it's to the major detriment of the characters. Marilyn is just about the only character left who has a distinct personalty which also shows in the way she dresses. Even then they've completely watered her personalty down since 2010. I think Irene is just becoming more prim and proper. Which should be totally foreign to her. Prim & proper should be nowhere near Irene.
  16. I loathed him when he first came into the series. But someone on the show was smart enough to have him interact with Irene for quite a while and their relationship i feel is quite sweet. He's an idiot. But a loveable one.
  17. I like Kyle. He has a brain. Unlike other characters, too many to mention.
  18. I feel they should get an assistant to go out into the bush while on location and find a log or a tree stump. This re-cast would be quite cost affective and i doubt most of the audience will notice a difference.
  19. I actually don't want her to leave it's nice to have a selfish, arrogant female character around who's not actually a bitch.
