  1. Overcast and still 35 °C. Third day in a row over 37°C
  2. I'd like to see Casey's storylines go in a different direction, but I think as long as the show is hung up on the popularity of the River Boys, there's every chance they'll go the same route with Casey. I hope I'm wrong though. Ruby has other adult influences in her life aside from her mother and I think Casey could benefit in the same way. , perhaps Elijah could step in because he definitely needs outside guidance because his brothers only seem to know one way and that's already lead Casey to juvie. It also doesn't help that both Ruby and Casey think Brax is wonderful (despite all the times her mother has been hurt by this man's lies and corruption and her life endangered over and over again because of him) and that Casey wants to be like him, so Casey needs someone outside of Brax's corrupting influence. I know family is important, but I think both Casey and Heath could benefit from getting away from Brax's controlling and manipulative influence (which will never happen because Brax is just the greatest ever), especially Heath who's actions are largely led by his controlling brother - Brax has been happy to use Heath for his dirty work and as his enforcer yet is also happy to put him down and slap him around if Heath does something that threatens the precious lie Brax has convinced Charlie and others of, that he is somehow better and more worthy than those he ordered to commit crimes for him and it's funny how often when Heath has done something stupid and illegal, it's not long after Brax has abused him or ridiculed and put him down when he's tried to prove him self capable of leading or doing things his own way; Brax has all but laughed at Heath's attempts at times.
  3. She's dependent on him too though. Unless she's with Casey (and sometimes Xavier), she's on her own. She really doesn't haven't many friends. At least Casey has Dex and Xavier and his brothers, and it looks like , although I do wish the writers would pay more attention to his friendships - especially with Xave and Dex. Unfortunately, it seems to be more about relationships these days than friendships in this show. There seems to be very little of the just hanging out with friends which is a shame as I thought Xav, Dex and Casey had the start of a something good - I enjoyed the scenes they had when the three were together but it never went anywhere. Ruby and Casey need friends outside of their relationship, yet most of their scenes revolve around their messed up older siblings/screwed up mother and have very little time for friends; Ruby has had more to do with others lately but only because Casey hasn't been there, but now that he's back, Ruby's life will once again be consumed by him (much like her mother's life always becomes consumed by the man because she can't exist without one it seems) and with the continual problems caused by his own family, Casey life will continue to go along the same path. We still don't really know what Casey experienced in juvie and he has no decent role model in his life so I have a feeling Casey will fall into the lifestyle just like Heath followed Brax. I feel sorry for Casey, largely because of his older brothers offering him nothing in the way of an example - Brax is by far the worst possible role model, he's so abusive, manipulative and controlling that he corrupts everyone he touches that I really don't see anything redeeming in him - he helped shaped Heath into the violent criminal he is now and both Casey and Charlie have been dragged down by their association with him and corrupted until they also broke the law for Brax and Brax barely cares as long as he's in the clear and the cops are off his back. Whereas Brax shows no sign of supporting Heath into making his life better, prefering to use him for his own violent and illegal ends then ridiculing and putting him down when he tries to do his own thing, Brax has tried to push Casey to a better life, but his example is to show Casey that it's ok to break the law, destroy people's lives and hurt people along the way to achieve this, it's ok to avoid responsibility and sell out your friends (even if they're like family) to save yourself and it's also perfectly ok to use, lie and manipulate women for your own ends and if anyone stands in your way, bash, threaten, buy a gun to kill them or manipulate them till they're no longer a problem - with that type of person in his life, Casey needs friends, but I doubt that will happen because the show seems to be of the opinion that an abusive, manipulate drug trafficking criminal who lies, uses and hurts anyone he deems as a threat to his freedom (even those he's supposed to love), is sexy and exciting and because it's for family (I'm personally of the opinion it's all about him and keeping his own freedom as he's still the only one yet to go to jail yet more than any of the others, most deserves to be punished), that Brax's actions (ie. multiple crimes and appalling acts) are somehow noble and he is actually a decent human being (sorry, but that requires a conscience, honesty and respect for others which Brax doesn't have) so I think we'll see Casey follow after Mr Can Do No Wrong (especially as criminals are so sexy, fun and exciting) and for that, I pity Casey. He alone has the potential for more, yet he's dragged down because of his name and the criminal mentality of his brothers who care for nothing but themselves. and Charlie became like a defacto mum to Casey, he'd still get little education in right and wrong because now Charlie's a corrupt cop with no honour or integrity and who no longer believes in the law or right and wrong - if she did, she wouldn't turn a blind eye to Mr Drug Trafficker and think a person who could do the things he has and hurt and lie to her is wonderful and put him in jail with Heath. I do hope we see Casey make more friends, but I think it will be more likely be with the River Boys (it is their show after all) and/or another girlfriend, then back with Ruby, then split yet again because that's the theme of the show. I actually hope Casey and Ruby do break up so they can develop Casey as an individual character because I'm sick of new characters arriving and quickly falling into relationships - we rarely get to see them as individuals before they become defined by their relationships.
  4. Haven't seen the Caterpillar Wish but just watched The Beast, an American movie that was made here back in 1996. He wasn't a main character, but Robert was in it with four others from Home and Away - Laura Vazques (Sarah), Les Hill (Blake), Andrew Hill (Haydn Ross) and Murray Bartlett (Randy Evans). He was actually the love interest of Laura Vazques' character.
  5. Heavy rain, so loud on the roof I can't hear the movie, thunder and 19c.
  6. Irene's had her cancer storyline and once that's over, she'll be pushed even further into the background while the show devotes most of the time to Chax and the River Boys, because the show is now about these few characters. Leah's had her big storyline, so she'll probably be pushed back as well for a year or two, Alf does little these days and even Gina and John have been reduced to bit parts, especially since the school's gone. There is so much they could do with the experienced cast members, but it seems like they just can't be bothered - another cancer storyline and miscarriage storyline were hardly original but I suppose it required little research or effort on the writers part because they just rehashed old storylines, thereby giving them more time to think up exciting storylines for the only characters they really seem to care about, going by the type of stories and the way they've constantly been promoted and shoved in our faces over and over again. The whole cancer storyline had such potential, despite the repetitiveness of yet another cancer storyline, but like a lot of other storylines in the last half of the year, it was treated as a secondary storyline most of the time while the crims and Charlie had centre stage and it suffered as a result, much like the farce Bianca's rape was turned into as it was dropped and forgotten (it's only rape and women get over that all the time, especially when there's some hot drug dealer she can be chasing after, at least that's how the past few rapes seem to be treated - raped and quickly into bed with someone else). Can't see it being any different next year, with the majority of characters playing second fiddle to the wonderful criminals and their silly women because the show doesn't care about balance, only above promoting the 'popular ones', which going by a lot of the comments of quite a few viewers I've read on youtube and elsewhere, are the only reason they watch the show - wonder how many will stick around when these characters leave? Wish the show would remember it's loyal, long term viewers and give us a more balanced show and actually make more of an effort with the other storylines - sometimes I've felt like the actors/actresses hearts just aren't in it and they're just going through the motions in the tiny parts they've been alloted and it'd be nice if they stopped giving all the big and exciting storylines to the same few people just to make them seem like they're far more exciting than all the others. and I wouldn't blame others for following after the treatment their characters have received this year. Personally, I'm over the shallow, repetative and totally unbelievable Chax and River Boys storylines and would prefer more time devoted to characters like Irene but next year I just know I'll continue to be disappointed and will be as long as Cam and Co are in love with Chax and the River Boys and promoting criminals as sexy and exciting instead of actually mirroring society (which according to Cam is the aim of the show) with realistic storylines that people can actually relate to - how many people will be involved in gangs or be victims of gangs? These men are criminals, so I can't relate in any way with them, nor do I have any desire to relate to their selfish, corrupt way of life.
  7. Tomorrow, she's going to run away from her problems rather than face them head on! That is not how you deal with things! It is only going to be worse for her when she comes back! I'm not surprised though...Charlie has always run away from her problems!.... As a police officer, what Charlie did was completely irresponsible. There was no way this was going to look anything but dodgy considering her superior knows about her affair with Brax. Had it been any other situation she probably would have gotten away with a slap on the wrist but now she has made things a whole lot worse for herself. Also, I find it kind disturbing that as a mother, Charlie is happy to go off and leave Ruby home alone with all the trouble in the Bay. Hammer may be dead, but that doesn't mean that someone else in his gang won't try getting revenge for what Charlie or Brax have done. How is she going to explain the gun? If she lies for Brax then I will lose what little respect I have left for her. An illegal firearm that Brax brought there was used to kill a rival gang member, that alone should raise questions and if it doesn't, then this has all been pointless; all this violence and now death without any consquences. At the very least, Brax should face firearms charges and even if Joyce is the only one in on her sordid affair, there should still be serious questions as to why she was there and why Brax was there. After all of the problems, life and death situations and lies that Brax has brought into her life, it's about time Charlie decided if a man she doesn't really knows is worth risking everything for. This is one of the problems I have with how they write Charlie; they seem to forget that she's a mother and therefore has responsibilities. Ruby may be old enough to look after herself, but in the past week or so, Charlie has been shot and kidnapped because of her ex's criminal dealings and even from jail Jake can organise someone to come after her, so it's extremely irresponsible to leave Ruby at a time like this, especially when Ruby is no doubt upset about all that has happened.
  8. Here are some more Heath ones
  9. He's going to be playing Greg 'The Gunman' Gaffney in the new Underbelly: Razor series.
  10. Love the ichat graphics and your icons are great, especially the Dex ones .
  11. 3 months? Has Charlie ever been together with someone this long before, without breaking it up.. Actually it's not three months as Charlie broke it off with Brax on 8 June after Angelo's warning. Even if it was only for a short time, she did end it, so it was still a break up. This will be the second break up in a short time and even though she will no doubt be chasing straight back after him like last time, there will come a time when she will eventually learn the truth about Brax's criminal involvement and the fact he was using her (at least I hope they don't keep him lying to her forever), so I doubt this will be the last break up either. It annoys me how when Charlie does end it with him or cools it off with him like she did after she blew the boat drug bust that Brax doesn't seem to make much of an effort to go after her; it alway seems to be Charlie running back to him.
  12. Funny, whenever Heath does try to do his own thing, Brax slaps him down because it reflects badly on him and the other River Boys, like Heath, seem to bow down to Brax and do as he commands, because he was the leader. Even now, I doubt it's easy for Heath to stand up to a man like Brax and being in a gang, he probably doesn't know any other life, except cowtowing to what Brax wants. To be given a second chance, Brax shouldn't just be allowed to walk away and be free to lie and manipulate people into believing he's an innocent man when he's not. Brax has gotten what he wants and walked away without a care for all the people harmed, sorry, but after all he's done (that we know of), I believe he should be made to pay, that's what justice is about. He shows no guilt for his crimes or for the people he's hurt, he does nothing but lie to people about where his money comes from and his involvement with the River Boys and their crimes, especially to Charlie and he makes excuses for the crimes he has committed; hardly good qualities in a person trying to be decent. I'm doing it for my family is no excuse - growing and trafficking drugs, money laundering, assaulting people aren't petty little crimes, they're major crimes, so yeah, I have a problem with a lying, manipulative man like Brax getting off scott free when I don't believe he deserves too. And in my little world, decent people don't lie and con people and they certainly don't make excuses for their crimes. I happened to find Charlie the cop one of the better and more stronger characters and as Esther has been popular well before this storyline, obviously a lot of people didn't find her boring as a cop, whereas I find a woman too weak to resist a man and running around like some desperate teen incredibly boring and in no way appealing as I've always prefered stronger characters, not women too dumb to realise they're being conned and too weak to end an unhealthy affair, especially when it's already led to her blowing a drug bust. Charlie is a cop and unless they have her decide that Brax is just so marvelous and have her toss her career in, then they should have her act like a cop, otherwise, what is the point of putting the uniform on her; though she seems to spend more time out of it while she cavorts around with the criminal. Better yet, it'd be nice if they had her acting like a mother and not some sad and desperate teen chasing after some guy who's not even the man she thinks he is and having sex in secret. Gee, Charlie sneaking around and having sex, hasn't she done that with every relationship and hasn't every guy she's been with committed a crime - to me, repetitiveness and predictability is boring. Until he pays for his crimes, Brax doesn't deserve a second chance, especially if that second chance is nothing but lies and deceptions. Also, if he gets off without Charlie realising his guilt, then that means if they contintue with their affair, then it will be based on his lies and her misguided belief he is innocent and not a bad person; for some unknown reason, I've always thought a relationship should have honesty and trust or it's not much of a relationship.
  13. I really hope Brax continues to get dragged into Heath’s messes because they’re as much his mess as Heath’s. He was the leader, the mastermind and he deserves to be dragged down with the rest of them. Just because he wants out, doesn’t make him any less of a criminal and any less responsible because the River Boys are in Summer Bay because Brax dragged them there, along with all their criminal behaviour. It’s ok for Brax to say he wants out, he’s made sure he has another life to fall back on, but what about Heath and the others? I doubt any have jobs (they don’t seem to) and life in a criminal gang is probably all that they know. Knowing Heath the way he does, does Brax really believe it is wise to leave such a man in charge of a bunch of immature and criminal thugs? It’s sometimes easy to forget that Heath is also a brother with the way Brax slaps him down and bullies him. Brax is also quite happy to use Heath to do his dirty work for him, enforcing his law with violence and sending him out there to put his neck on the line with the drugs while Brax is off sleeping with Charlie; making sure he always has an alibi. Is it any wonder that Heath has less control than Brax? And as for Brax’s code and lines not to cross, it’s such a shame it doesn’t extend to drugs; how many women, teenagers and families have been harmed by the drugs Brax grows and traffics? A lot, but I suppose they’re just the faceless victims of his crimes and as he’s doing all of this for a better life for his brother, it’s ok to hurt these people; he certainly doesn’t seem to feel any guilt for all the hurt he’s no doubt inflicted over the years of leading a criminal gang. No, he’s got what he wants, he’s got a business, he’s got a brother who thinks he’s wonderful and he’s got a woman he’s totally fooled into believing he’s an honest and respectable businessman when he’s as dirty as the rest of the River Boys. Brodie, those two on the boat were sacrificed by their wonderful leader who has now left them all in the lurch so he can go and sleep with the woman trying to bring them down. And if Charlie does bring the River Boys down and Brax gets off scott free, it's not going to look too good when they find out he's been sleeping with the woman who's after them; even if it was only to get her off his back (once again, all about his precious butt being kept out of jail), I doubt the Boys will be happy. It does make me wonder what Brax has done in the past that despite his lack of loyalty to them, they stay quiet and protect him but I hope that when they realise he's turned his back on them so he can pretend to be respectable and sleep with the local copper, they no longer stay loyal to him and drag him down; won't happen of course, because he will more than likely get away without Charlie even realising how bad he really is, leaving him free to continue with his lies. As long as Brax continues to get away with his crimes and show no remorse for all the hurt he has no doubt caused others and as long as he continues to lie and deceive Charlie, a woman he supposedly cares about, then I see nothing good about him. He’s a criminal and a manipulative one at that, one not to be trusted and not even his concern for his brother makes up for the lies and crimes.
  14. Completely agree. I actually liked them as a couple to start with, but when it became clear he was a criminal and had ulterior motives for starting the relationship (even if he has developed feelings, it doesn't make up for his behaviour), I've found their scenes since then quite nauseating, even more so with the way they've had Charlie acting like some love-struck teen and become so unprofessional with her behaviour (won't spoil it, but Mon night was disgraceful on her part). My dislike for this couple grows with every episode since that one in which they had Charlie tell Watson the next step is Darryl Braxton and she asked if he was using her then only to have the birthday party the next episode where she was ready to reveal their dirty little secret; it's like a switch was flipped. He just keeps lying to her face and I have no doubt that if necessary, he will use her again if it's too his advantage - he's shown nothing to prove to me he can be trusted, not after the way he has manipulated her in the past and used her (the info on Mon night another example) and the way he keeps sacrificing his Boys demonstrates a remarkable lack of loyalty. I know people like them, but to me, they are fast becoming a turn off. I just cannot stand the way they've had Charlie acting and even Ruby is coming off as more mature. I'm also sick of Charlie putting her POLICE uniform on after sex with him - that just seems so wrong and disrespectful. Feelings or not, there is no trust, no respect and no honesty in this relationship, it's just sex and lies and that is an unhealthy relationship. It's wrong for Heath, PeeWee etc to do certain things, but Brax has shown that the same rules don't apply to him so it still wouldn't surprise me if that wasn't a worthless trinket, but quite expensive. It's time Charlie opened her eyes, not just the crack she shows every now and again, but fully and see him for what he is and do her job. I know he won't go to jail (he's too hot for that), but I think some punishment and accountability is required considering the seriousness of his crimes - he shouldn't just be allowed to get away with it and he needs to be made to earn his place back into society. If he is allowed to walk away smelling like roses (some lame excuse we're expected to buy or someone else takes the fall again), then IMHO, it's only because he's hot and looks hot with Charlie, which is totally shallow on the writers part.
  15. I find myself liking him more and more and I quite enjoy his scenes with Xavier and the whole family thing they now have. Last week with Gina and Colleen was particularly amusing.
  16. Since Charlie said that the next step was Darryl Braxton, we've only had Charlie question Heath over the bashing of a River Boy and acting like Brax is all innocent when she's spoken to Angelo; we've also only seen Watson the once, at Charlie's birthday. In the past couple of weeks, there seems to be a distinct lack of any follow up with this investigation as they seem to be focusing on Charlie making a fool of herself with Brax. I hope Watson is still investigating him though and we're just not seeing it, because it's looking doubtful that Charlie is capable of doing her job.
  17. It's called being compromised, which she's said over and over herself. Evidence or not, she should not be with him while anyone in his gang is being investigated, especially if she is investigating him. It's absolutely ridiculous for her to believe she can do her job while sleeping with him - a good defence attorney could get any evidence she collected thrown out as tainted because she's compromised. He's the head of a gang linked to criminal activities which should have been enough for any cop with any integrity or brains to avoid, especially for a Sergeant. She's supposed to be above suspicion, compromising herself with anyone with links to crime, especially a gang, then evidence or not, it is a bad look. I don't care if he likes her or not, with the way he has lied and used her, he doesn't deserve her and Charlie deserves someone decent and that is not Brax. He sells drugs and uses violence to keep his Boys in order. He's not worth risking anything for, especially not her career. I'm just trying to imagine how happy she will be when she finds out he's been playing her and that he's been lying all this time. How is that going to make her feel? Humiliated, devastated and used and far from happy. At least with Cop Charlie I could have some respect for, unlike this one who's making a mokery of the uniform she's supposed to hold dear.
  18. Charlie, you're a cop, it's supposed to be important to you so dump the criminal and start investigating like you said you would. Trust your instincts, they were right when they told you he was dirty, so start doing your job, because he's not worth risking your career over; it's all lies with him anyway.
  19. Ending up dead is kind of getting caught up with; most ended up paying for their crimes in some way. You were right about the cops and politicians; some were no better than the people they were chasing, but like the crims, you knew the reasons most of them did what they did, were for the wrong reasons, like saving face or getting ahead or they were just as corrupt as the crims. Brax is a drug trafficker and criminal, making money off people's suffering and he doesn't care who gets hurt in the way - if he thinks he's doing it for family, that's just pathetic and wrong. I don't care how hot he is or what chemistry he has with Charlie, I just hope she finally stops deluding herself about this man and does her job, find the proof and arrest him. I know he won't go to jail, but at least everyone would then know what type of person he is; he doesn't deserve to get off scott free and be rewarded with having a happy relationship with a woman he's done nothing but lie to.
  20. I love the Wire and The Shield, but those were far more compelling and better done and as much as I liked the characters, I was always hoping that they'd be caught up with, and they usually were. And with everything they did, you were never really made to forget that these people were bad, but the problem with HAA, is they not only get away with it, it's usually forgotten about and they're suddenly Mr Nice People who have never done a thing wrong; Angelo's past misdeeds have only just been mentioned recently. Never saw a lot of the Aden thing, so can't really comment, but while I don't agree with what Charlie did, she was raped by this man and feared what he would do to her daughter; wrong yes, wrong to cover it up yes, but a little more understandable, especially considering the emotional stress and trauma this man put her through when she was young and when he turned up again claiming his innocence. If she had fessed up, she probably would have lost her job, but with mitigating circumstances, it would have been believable if she had received a non-jail term; she had suffered enough by being raped, by being confronted by her rapist again and then losing the job she supposedly loved. Charlie was forced into doing something wrong while Brax chooses to do the wrong thing when he doesn't have to be involved at all. He's the one who is clearly pulling all the strings and he's shown little remorse or guilt (if any) for his actions; he's a drug trafficker, who hurts not just the people he supplies drugs to, but everyone involved. He's hurting Charlie, he hurts anyone who steps out of line, he hurt Brodie by having him take the fall and he has shown his willingness to hurt and use anyone to save himself. I could love him as a bad guy, but that doesn't mean I don't want him to take his punishment, which sadly, he won't get and we'll probably have to try to believe that he is in someway a good guy who found love and reformed, when he's clearly not. Just wish they would stop with having their characters commit crimes unless they're actually punished for it; it makes having cops in the show pointless, especially when they've been in the wrong themselves so often and all these storylines are nothing but a waste of time when you know they get off.
  21. Exactly! I liked him at the start, I thought he was a good guy just involved with a bad crowd, but he is a criminal pure and simple! He doesn't have any regard for anyone (when it suits him) , he lies and lies and lies and LIES to Charlie and I just want to shout at the TV and tell her to get away from him because he has fooled her big time. Stupid Charlie always ends up trusting him in the end and the cycle just continues and continues! He sold out Brody and also Keith, just to dig himself out of trouble. I am even liking Heath more than Brax now because at least Heath isn't as calculating as Brax is. Heath may be a bad guy but lets face it he doesn't have the brains for anything whereas Brax can worm his way out of every situation and be very conniving. I too hope they don't go down the route of brushing all his actions under the carpet and forgetting about it and then gets together with Charlie and suddenly be an amazing person, and your right it would be a total cop out. I wish people would find out what he is really like, especially Charlie. I certainly hope he just doesn't get others to take the fall and he comes out looking all innocent, because he is the least innocent of the lot. He's the one calling the shots and it really is disgusting the way he has manipulated his way into Charlie's bed and has used her for his own advantage (when needed to) and does nothing but lie and lie to her. I liked him when he just seemed bad, but he's not a bad boy, he's a CRIMINAL, and a cold, manipulative, drug dealing one at that who has shown on more than one occassion his willingness to do whatever he can to protect himself - he really is a coward the way he uses and sets up others like that. I also don't like men who use and lie to women like the way he has used Charlie, will continue to use her (when necessary to cover up for himself) and is never honest with her - that's just low and all he is doing, is hurting her more and more with every lie. She's going to feel totally used and disgusted with herself when she finds out; at least I hope she finds out, but who knows with these writers, they may think that because they look so wonderful together to keep her in the dark about his true nature so that they can stay in this totally shallow relationship based on nothing but looks, lies, deception and sex. I always thought you needed honesty and trust to have a relationship, clearly not as long as the sex is good. He is commiting major crimes and I really hope that justice eventually catches up to him because he should not just be allowed to walk away without some sort of punishment and just become the next good guy in town, where everyone just forgets because he comes across as a nice guy. With what we've seen him do in the past few weeks, that would be an absolute lie and cop-out. For some reason, I find myself liking Heath so much more than Brax, because at least he doesn't hide behind a mask of respectibility like Brax - still hope both of them get what is coming to them, but unfortunatley, I doubt justice will ever catch up to these good-looking criminals. I certainly hope that Charlie wises up soon and does her job - she's totally compromised when she is with him. A cop with a criminal can never work, unless of course no one ever finds out his involvement and they sweep everything he has done under the carpet, which will be just so bad and irresponsible. Still, if they go down this route, at least I'll know what sort of person he is, but it will be a shame that I have to right Charlie off as a joke and an embarrassment to the uniform who has sold out everything she believed in to live a big fat lie.
  22. Yeah, Watson out of uniform and mingling with the people.
  23. Too bad it's all based on lies and deceptions. I for one, hope that she doesn't stay the gullible fool who buys every lie told to her by this man. This isn't the Charlie who first came onto the show, that Charlie did her job and she didn't really care who she put off side to do it; this Charlie is being made a fool of and is certainly not doing her job - she's allowed herself to be compromised. If the writers ever allow her to find out, she's not going to be fun or feisty, she's going to be utterly devastated and humiliated, all because she let herself believe this man's lies. Charlie deserves to be with someone who respects her and can be honest with her and that's certainly not Brax, because he has done nothing but lie and deceive her and that's about all he is ever capable of; let's face it, he can never be honest without her arresting him, though with the way the writers have her eating out of his hand, she'll probably let him off and take him to bed instead. Cop Charlie was feisty, she did her job and she had fun (I agree, she was a little dull when with Angelo, but much better when she was in separate scenes to him); this Charlie just seems to have sex, swallow his lies and compromise herself. For me, cop Charlie is miles better than the Charlie who's been on the past few weeks - at least I could respect that character a little more, unlike this Charlie who so easily allowed herself to be seduced by a man she knows deep down is a criminal.
  24. I hope we see a return to the old Charlie. She was my favourite character but I'm really disliking her at the moment with the ease in which she buys into his endless lies (he just never stops) and everytime she has doubts (just about every week), he just lies some more and they have sex and all the doubts are gone (until the next time). She's selling out everything she believes in for a man she still doesn't trust (and for good reason) and has little credibility as a cop as long as she continues to ignore her instincts - which have been spot on in regards to him, if only she'd forget about the sex for more than five seconds. I really wish she'd stop talking about how important her jobs is, how dangerous they are, how compromised she is, asking if he is using her and then ignoring it all for a quick roll in the sack - it's time she remembered she was a cop and a mother and started acting like it and steering clear of the leader of a gang of no good trouble makers. Cops are supposed to be above reproach so she should never have become involved with someone of such a questionable nature, especially after she was convinced he was a criminal (guess what Charlie, HE IS). I like cop Charlie, this Charlie is just sad and pathetic the way she eats up his lies and forgets everything so easily - right now she is a hypocrite with no credibility or integrity as a cop. No woman deserves to be with a man who uses and lies the way Brax has and even if he finds himself falling for her, I hope he's not rewarded for his deplorable behaviour by entering into a long term relationship with a woman he's shown so little respect for. I just hope that Charlie either decides on her career or her criminal because she can't have both - she's proven she can't do her job properly since she's been with him and she will forever be compromised as a cop if she is with him.
  25. Absolutely no idea! Care to remind us beau_t...?! I'll wait and see if anyone else remembers, I'm sure some people on this forum will but whether they come into this thread or not... I remember her, she was one of my favourite characters at the time. She worked with Joel Nash and started dating his son, Tom, without realising he was a lot younger as he had lied about his age. From memory, I don't think she was even aware that Tom was Joel's son until later on. She left and then came back and resumed their relationship. I miss the days when cops acted like cops and weren’t the incompetent and corrupt cops of today; at least where the regular characters are concerned. Nick Parish was a nice guy and a good cop yet his type of cop seems to have disappeared, though Watson is fairly close to the way he was, if not more feisty. Pretty much lost all respect for Charlie as a cop (and a person) with the ease she has allowed herself to be fooled by Brax so I’m extremely glad that Watson has featured so much, because unlike Charlie, she sees Brax for the liar (and all the rest) that he is. I just hope that when it comes out about Charlie being with Brax that she doesn’t accept it and gives Charlie the cold shoulder; still treats her with the respect due to her superior officer (even though Charlie doesn’t deserve to be treated as such) and nothing more because it would be a reminder to Charlie that she has compromised herself and embarrassed the uniform with her poor judgement. As a senior officer and role model to cops like Watson, who do their job, Charlie really has set a bad example, as did Angelo before her. Surprised that Watson and the other cops have any belief in the force left when their last two Sergeants were Angelo and Charlie. Need more of Watson to keep Charlie on her toes - just hope she doesn't follow Charlie's lead. Edit: Terri Garner was played by two actresses and one of them, Amelia Longhurst, played Axel's mum
