  1. Charlie is unrecognisable as a cop or even as Charlie in the past few weeks and is close to the point of no return; she's even making Ruby look good her behaviour and unprofessionalism has been that bad. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to end anytime soon, at least not until the writers have completely ruined her, which they seem quite happy to do. The longer this storyline drags on, the more I find myself disliking Charlie and I hate that, she was my favourite character but I hate the person they're turning her into. She's been irresponsible, incompetent, she's ignored concerns from the community and she's allowed herself to be compromised far too easily, despite her so called love for her job and all over some worthless guy. She deserves to lose her job and the respect of the community after this whole mess is over; I always thought Angelo (who I absolutely despise) was the most incompetent cop but right now, Charlie's making him look good. So thanks writers, you're ruining yet another character for me; at this rate, there won't be much too many left that I can be bothered to stick around for. NOTE: keep your keystrokes off ruining Dex and Watson, they're fine like they are.
  2. I'd love to see a lot more of her but not as a regular because I'd doubt they'd waste much time compromsing her, probably over some supposedly hot guy or make her do something really stupid to make her look incompetent. Watson shows how the police should act and when they have her with Charlie, her behaviour highlights where Charlie goes wrong (which is becoming far to common) and she also brings the humour to Charlie's seriousness. Have to admire how she sticks to her guns when her commanding officer is clearly not up to the job, especially these days; Charlie really is a horrible role model for younger cops like Watson. Unlike Charlie, she knows exactly what sort of man Brax is and hopefully, with her looking over Charlie's shoulder, Charlie will stick to her guns and go after them (not hopeful with this though.) Not all cops should be seen as incompetent and/or corrupt like the regular ones seem to become, which is why they need to have cops like Watson, those who do their job and do it properly. I just hope that they don't ruin her by turning her into Charlie.
  3. If this is true (and I hope it's not), then I hope they don't succeed or get away with it. Be very annoyed if they do as unlike Charlie, she's actually doing her job.
  4. Loved her responses to Brax this week. Filing his statement in the fiction section and sarcastically saying they'll let Heath go just because Brax told them he didn't do it. Great last week when Charlie got whacked over the head, especially the way she stood up to Charlie and went over her head - she was doing what Charlie has been failing to do; act like a cop. I hope she is in it more over the next couple of weeks to make sure that Charlie doesn't blow the whole investigation because of her infatuation with Brax - at least Watson knows what sort of man he is and doesn't buy his bull. The way Watson acts, you'd think she was the more experienced and senior officer than Charlie is. About time we learnt more than just her name.
  5. Oh and I was just reading the character descriptions on the H&A website and it says about Brax and some I'm trying to catch up on a few episodes so I haven't seen all their episodes yet. Seems a bit random to throw that into the description and then not do anything with it. . I didn't really like Angelo and Charlie. But... I am liking Charlie and Brax. It is going to be interesting to see their relationship develop. A cop and a River boy who people think is a bad boy getting together. The reaction from the bay, Rubys reaction, Angelos etc. It is going to be interesting to see how the River Boy Gang react to Charlie and Brax getting together? Any one in that town who objects to Charlie being involved with Brax needs to remember what her last boyfriend did (and not just the part where he killed a guy.) I'm curious about Ruby's reaction, she might be happy if it means Charlie gets off her back about dating Braxtons, though she could also be annoyed after the grief Charlie gave her. As for Angelo, he dumped her and he's happy to do business with Brax so if he objects, he's just a hypocrite (as usual); if he wasn't too fussed about Brax's shady dealings, he should just butt out and he should also remember his own history, which seems to have been entirely forgotten - I'm surprised that a guy like Brax who seems to know a lot or even Heath on the night of the brawl, didn't have some dig at Angelo about his own brushes with the law and the fact he should be in jail. I'd like to see Charlie and Brax as a couple but I'd much rather they played out the sexual tension a lot longer; so sick of them having the women sleeping with guys when they barely know them. Can anyone really blame Ruby for jumping into bed with guys when mumsy's throwing herself at guys and she has her own history of being a cheater and also sleeping with a guy who had a girlfriend (tho I don't think Angelo really cared that much for May, it was just that she was the only one who gave him the time of day) It would have been nice if Charlie abstained for more than 5 minutes and I hope that once the deed is done, it's not the same old never-ending relationship boredom of Changelo with their endless problems and breakups. I also hope the writers remember that Charlie has a daughter and don't have her neglecting her by getting so wrapped up in her latest boyfriend's problems like she did with Angelo. Considering who Brax is and who Charlie is, no doubt there will be problems for them as individuals, even though people shouldn't have a problem with Charlie being with Brax as they don't know if he has actually done anything wrong. Brax on the other hand, I can see his River Boys not being too happy with him being with a cop, esp. a cop who's after them. There's a lot to be said about drawing out the sexual tension between an impending couple; it would be a shame if H&A lose this by having them sleeping together too quickly.
  6. The facial expressions get on my nerves at times but at least she has them. Some of the others only seem to have one and the only way to know what they're feeling (sad, angry, lonely etc) is to listen to what they're saying because you certainly can't tell from the masks they wear. Angelo is by far the most rubbish cop that's ever been on the show, he was incompetent, stupid, not to mention all the crimes he committed. Charlie's done the wrong thing (probably too often), but at least she actually seems to know how to do her job; it'd just be nice if she didn't over do it sometimes. As for her never being there for Ruby? I'd agree that while she was with Angelo, it seemed to be more about his and their problems with little time for Ruby, but this year she has made more of an effort and has really tried to be there for Ruby. She's also been less judgemental and willing to listen to Ruby, which takes some effort when you consider the way Ruby's been acting. I think she will always overreact to certain situations because that seems to be her personality and I hope that when they put her in another relationship that they will balance her storylines more to include Ruby and not just the latest bad boy.
  7. She needs to be in more of the police scenes, especially at the station as she's a good foil for Charlie's seriousness. Watson has that whole, casual, hands-in-pocket, unconcerned look going that usually contrasts against Charlie's more serious demeanour when they're out and about. She's also more likely to do the right thing and do it the right way than the regular cops ever have.
