Oh no wait his not here Dex because he has the good sense of staying home and not getting himself stranded on some Island Xavier says panting from the anger of Dex’s stupid questions.  “Well at least you can have it off earlier now” Sid says looking over to see Romeo raise a eyebrow. “Oh stop that dirty mind I meant you can have the cast off not have it off with my daughter” Sid says blushing slightly.  Oh trust me I wont utter a word of the time you used me as something like a beach ball.”  He glances over his shoulder to catch the heartbreaking scene of his food sinking below the watery depths of the sea.  “Yes Casey it looks like the old man was right I am indeed having a baby, and it looks like I’m showing, and the answer about Xavier not having much luck with the women you have all the proof you need seeing he is here with two soon to be three of his exs”  “Well I thought it would be fitting as I’m called April.” April says grinning.  “Yes it is true they do look angry but we have a doctor a keen fisherman a food guzzling monster of sorts and your sister’s prince here.”

IT ALAWAYS MAKES ME HAPPY” Miles says with a mouthful of cookie.  “Well I am sorry but I didn’t realise the boat would be battery operated” Romeo says.  “They were flaming bats doc, I must say I’m very shocked to see you screaming I thought you would be the bravest one here. seeing you don’t faint at the sight of blood.” Alf says. “Well I now know what to get as some pets a swarm of bats, they will be handy when me and Indi want some alone time” Romeo laughs.  “Ruby you made me climb that mountain for this blue healing flower when all the while there was a big sign with a arrow pointing to a whole brush of them.” Casey says he can’t help but gaze into her eyes as she grabs him round the front laughing.  “Oh Xavier I think your next girlfriend should be a Goth even these farm girls are too hard for you to handle” Casey says winking.  “Yeah who would of thought a Tv show like Lost having come true I’m still waiting for a polar bear to Pop up” Dex says all of a sudden the island is filled with a loud booming voice through a fog horn. “HA HA MY HEARTERS HAND OVER THE TREASURE”  “Don’t worry Alf he will be grounded for a month after we finish here” says Sid.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY enjoyed that, most especially ........  And if Dex thought things couldn’t get any worse, then he was sorely mistaken. Because now he’s hiding near a storage cupboard, behind a series of fairy lights and glitter trying to avoid a girl who goes by the nickname ‘The Virgin Slayer’ which sounds like she watches too much Buffy rather than being in any way enticing and Dex is darting his eyes around the room trying to make a break for it.  “I can assure you that I am not playing anything, I’m horrible at sports, except figuring out the quickest way to leave,” Dex says rapidly, as Dallas squeezes tighter.  and Dex would be impressed at her coordination -- managing to undress him in public without actually looking and being intoxicated -- except this is bad. Very bad. And Dex needs to put a stop to this immediately before she reaches his pants.  “No, Dallas. She’s amazing and perfect and I’m not doing anything to mess that up. In fact, I was planning on doing this to her tonight,” Dex says with as much conviction as he can muster. Finding his strength from somewhere, he pushes her back, a bit rougher than he intended, but for a girl of her size, she has impressive strength.  His eyes flick down to his pale neck, and Dex begins splashing on more water, trying to remove the pink stain of Dallas’ lip gloss from his skin. It’s then that he feels it. The tender spot just above his collar bone where Dallas had her mouth, her teeth, and now she’s left a distinct red circle.  Dex needs someone with experience. Someone who knows how to deal with gossip, and sex, and possibly gossip about sex. So he calls Ruby.  “You’re not willing to make out with Heath Braxton in a very public place, are you?” Dex asks hopefully.

That was BEYOND BRILLIANT !!!!!! Soooooooooooooo moving and emotional, especially .......  Smiling weakly she made shaky steps towards the door. She hadn’t been eating properly and her weight began to plummet. Wearing black only made her look more gaunt and washed out.  ”We’ll be there to provide for Ruby” Watson chipped in. ”I will personally make sure myself that she gets the best protection from the force”  ”It’s not fair if you stay either come on Kate it’s time to go”  ”Okay” Kate was grateful for the few extra days, her heart was already breaking at the thought of Ruby’s and Brax’s reactions. But she had to stay to get her head round the whole idea, so she could secretly say good bye to them one last time without them even knowing.  Flowers were arranged to spell out her name as the empty coffin was lowered to the ground.  A long way back in a small black car where the windows were dimmed, Kate Grundy watched her own funeral taking place. Tears rolled down her cheeks as she watched the ones she loved most grieve for someone they thought they had lost. She clutched her stomach cradling the baby that should have been a joyous celebration for their little family, instead she realised she’d raise it on her own.  She watched Ruby and Brax for a few moments, her heart aching to run after them and show them she was okay but to keep them safe she knew she had to do this.

LOVED that, especially ......  Ric shifted his weight slightly.“Sorry, baby,”he said to the bump,“But Mummy and Daddy have got a marriage to consummate.” “You realise Junior’s going to be pretty traumatised when he or she grows up and finds out they were here on our wedding night?”  “Well, I don’t think he’s going to keep me chained up.Unless he’s into that sort of thing…”  “I hope so.Otherwise I’m turning into some sort of old woman.  “I decided it’s finally time to run away and join the circus,”Dexter replied.  Yes, I do,”Xavier conceeded,“And I guess in a way I probably always will.But she’s gone and we were over long before that.And I love you.”  The kiss broke.And Dexter started babbling.“Okay, you should know that there’s a few things that I’ve done precisely, well, once and the mechanics were a bit different that time…” “Have you finished talking?”Casey interrupted. Dexter nodded.“Yep.” “Good.”Casey kissed him again and closed the front door behind them.  Aden reached into his back pocket and extracted a jewellery box.He knelt down in front of her, opening the box to reveal the ring.“Nicole Franklin…will you marry me?”

LOVED that chapter, most especially .........  “So should we wait a while before going to see her?” Ruby asked disappointedly, and Bianca smiled sympathetically and nodded. She smiled at the rest of Charlie’s family, before making her exit.  “Am I really that scary that nobody else is brave enough to come in?” Charlie wondered out loud, and Brax chuckled slightly. “Well their theory was that if you shoot the messenger, then at least I’m the only one getting hurt,”  “I don’t know exactly what it was that she said, but when she was speaking it made me realise that when I did shut everyone out the first time – I didn’t feel any better for doing it. In fact I probably felt worse. And so it made me realise, I don’t ever want to feel like that I again, and the only way to do that is to not push people away,”  “Just because you’re in that hospital bed doesn’t mean that I won’t tickle you until you tell me,” Brax warned her. Charlie grinned back at him coyly. “Well, I’m pretty sure that on our first date, I did mention something about allowing you the pleasure of going on fourteen more dates with me, so…” Charlie trailed off as Brax smiled, and gently took her face in his hands and kissed her softly.  Ruby had stayed at home originally, but after a while moved into an apartment in the city to be closer to Uni. Charlie had been sad to see her go at first, but understood that it was something that Ruby needed to do. And besides, Ruby quickly appeased her mother by promising to come over for dinner every Sunday  Brax looked up again at Charlie who was on the phone to Ruby. Once Ruby had found out that Charlie was pregnant, she had insisted on phoning about five times a day, just to make sure that Charlie was alright………………. ………and the REALLY cute ending !!!!!!! Your use of the charecters was beyond ACE !!!!!! and this finale was just unbelievably soooooooooo funny, most especially .....  “I think we should just let Grand Moff Braxtin go.” Everyone stared at her. “Because he’s hot,” she added.  “Yeah. And what better way to hide than take a job that requires you to wear black armour and never show your face, working for someone who hates you?”  “Of course I remember you. You stood against me in the Sith Lord elections.”  “Right!” Casey agreed. He paused. “Hang on, does ‘cover your rear’ translate as ‘human shield’?”  Then, I’ll proclaim myself Emperor Braxtin. Ah, with my trusty deputy Chancellor Heath.”  “Nah, I just thought you might need a last minute rescue from behind. Plus the doughnuts ran out.”  “Lieutenant Georgina Watson, Gold Squadron. I survived the battle by being awesome.”  Xavier heard a bleeping noise from AprilD2 and checked his cockpit readout. “Let her do more than hug you and you’ll regret it. And get me down from here!”  AprilD2 and RubyZ90 glided over to each other and began chatting in the bleeps of machine speak. After a while, the noise sounded oddly like laughter.  Er, I’ll be back! No. Next time it’s personal! LOOOVED it, most especially …….  He changes his number, and immerses himself in his classes. Goes to parties he normally would have turned down, hooks up with girls (and that one guy) he would have previously ignored, just so he doesn’t have to think about it.  He then disappears towards the bar, to no doubt begin his mission to hit on every available and single girl.  but all that falls away when Dex looks out across the dance floor and sees her. She’s being tackled into a hug by Ruby -- big, white wedding dress and all -- but when she looks up, their eyes meet, and Dex suddenly feels very nervous, and very very eighteen again.  “And when you’re in love with someone you don’t hold them back, you are the one pushing them forward.”  “You,” she whispers, before she closes the final space between them. The whole fic was totally ACE !!!!! Your characterisation of both Dex and April was BRILLIANT !!!!!!

That was COOOOOOOOOL, most especially ……  “Is that a army of ants because at the rate you’re eating it, soon will be” Alf says. glaring at at him  “Ok I will just follow you and this perfectly rounded peachy bum of yours” Ruby says as she reaches up giving Casey’s behind a quick pinch.  “Er now don’t totally lose it” he says as he sees that what they have found are the remains of the Balxland.  “Whoa Alf you didn’t tell me we were getting on abroad entertainment” Miles says having started a beer.  “Be quiet Casey for one this blue flower isn’t lame it will cure Kelly and save her life from the poison, and for two it is very pretty and I want one so hop to it.” Ruby says giving Casey another nudge.  Jezz thanks Xav good way of making a girl feel special” April says blushing.  “Wow way to go Dex your first time and you have hit the jackpot” Xavier laughs giving Dex’s arm a gentle slap.

ACE update !!!!!, most especially ……  Charlie sank back into her pillows in relief as she heard this. Knowing that she was now safe, Charlie took more of an interest in her surroundings,  “I feel a bit disorientated and my back hurts when I move it, but I suppose it could be worse,” Charlie answered, trying to sound braver than she felt. As she looked around at everyone’s faces, Charlie could tell that they didn’t really buy it.  “I know you guys have been waiting ages for me to wake up, and that you’re just trying to help, but I don’t want to talk about it. Not now, not ever,” Charlie said quietly, but firmly. “I’d rather just be by myself right now, so could you guys please leave me alone for a little while?” Charlie asked, and sensing that Ruby was about to argue quickly added, “Please?”  Ruby’s plan ….. “Don’t look at me like that. This one might actually be a good one,” Ruby protested and Brax raised an eyebrow, making Ruby quickly hasten. “Ok, you called Morag because you thought I wasn’t dealing with things well and because I need some form of family, right?”  Bianca smiled sadly at Charlie. “After it happened I pushed everyone away. I thought that I was alone and that I could handle it by myself. But I was wrong Charlie,” Bianca admitted. “I know it’s hard,” she said, when Charlie turned her head away. “But you have to let your friends and family help you. Or you’ll never move forwards.”

Nicole instantly looked slightly ashamed.“You’re right, I’m sorry.Things happened in a bit of a rush.” Ric got to his feet, rolling his eyes.“I’m heading to the garage.See you later.”He gave Matilda a quick kiss before sweeping out.  You’re serious?When was this?” Ric thought for a moment.“About…seven years ago?” Romeo raised an eyebrow.“And I thought Xavier could hold onto a grudge.”  “Oh.”Ruby looked pained.“Nic, I’m sorry, I really thought I was doing the right thing, you two were so good together…” “Yes.”Nicole gave a knowing smile.“We are.” Ruby’s eyes widened.“Oh…my…god.You’ve slept with him, haven’t you?”  She grabbed Ruby in a head lock.“But no more match making, okay?” “Ow!Ow!Stop beating up the pregnant woman!”Nicole released her and Ruby smiled.“Okay.Consider me suitably chastened.”  Indi turned to him in surprise.“You like another girl?” Dexter hesitated for a moment.“Is it okay for me to have feelings for someone else?”he repeated.  “I do not mope!”Indi protested, even though she knew she did. Dexter shrugged.“Just think about it.”

That was ACE !!!!, most especially ......  “No, I mean, yes. I mean -- I do want to do this,” Dex replies shakily. “Just a bit nervous, I guess.” As soon as it’s out, Dex regrets it, because he’s a guy, and he’s the one that’s supposed to be in charge, because he’s definitely ready, and supposes that if they are going to have sex then they should probably be doing things rather than just talking about things.  Dex is aware of every movement, of mapping out every inch of April’s skin. He moves from just kissing her mouth, to under her jaw, a point down her throat, until he’s eyes-closed and inhaling everything that is body heat, and sea salt, and something that is just so April.  In Dex’s mind it’s nerve-wracking, and thrilling, and wonderful; even with the moment where someone’s elbow got completely in the way, but neither of them are going to admit it was their fault  “Once I settled on medicine it was because I wanted to help people. And I guess in the back of my mind I knew it wouldn’t always be possible, but I just didn’t -- I can’t handle not being able to do anything. Just having to sit back and watch someone die. I just -- I don’t --" Dex engulfs her in a hug, his arms around her, as April sniffles and tries to suppress her tears.

That was CUTE and COOOOOOOOOL, most especially .....  WHY Aden was in jail !!!! ie “Judge said a lot of stuff about police being allowed to perform their duty”.  “Remind me to have words with her.I’m not with anyone, no.His father isn’t around anymore.” “He walked out on you?”Aden asked angrily. “‘Isn’t around anymore’ as in dead.”  Dexter sat down on his bed crosslegged.“So, should we chat about nothing for a bit?Just so we can hear each other’s voices?” He heard Casey give a slight laugh.“Yeah, I’d like that.”  Aden & George … including Nicole gave Aden a wry look as he straightened up.“Bribery, huh?”  “Young and stupid?” “Pretty much, yeah.Do you think we’ll be good parents?” “I reckon we will, yeah.I reckon we’ll love this kid and we’ll want what’s best for it.I reckon it’s going to be pretty lucky.” Ruby smiled at him.“You know, I knew there was a reason why I fell in love with you.You say the sweetest things.And when this baby’s old enough, he slash she will think the same.”She kissed him lightly.  “See what you say then, Grandma!”  Nicole raised an eyebrow.“Right, so when you first saw me round Dad’s, with the outfits from the fashion mags and the spray tans and the sunglasses and the little car I didn’t actually have a license for, your first thought was ‘Hey, I reckon she’d be a good mum’?”  Nicole nodded and it was all the encouragement he needed.He returned the kiss, gently caressing her, then put his arm around her shoulders as they headed into her bedroom.

Oh I mean help you” Charlie corrected herself as she gazed into Brax’s eyes.  “Oh sorry I have been working undercover with a rather shady character” Charlie says smiling at Brax  “Well Bianca said April is missing and then I think she must of cracked up a bit because she wants to know if you have brought me any Rubies” Charlie says grinning at him.  “Oh Bianca I was so overcome with excitement of having my sexy boyfriend buy me rubies, I forgot you were on the phone but never you fear I will get right on the case I will use all my best cop skills to track them down.” Charlie can only hear Bianca’s panting breaths from her anger as she disconnects the call.  “I WILL SIT AND WATCH YOU FROM HERE THANKS” Ruby shouts back.  “Don’t worry Ruby the only differences here is if you fall off the mountain here we die for real, instead of pressing restart. Casey says as he hugs Ruby close looking up at the big task before them.  “It’s a flaming rowing boat you great galah, we wont be doing a fast rescue in that”

LOOOOVE this, most especially .........  Which, well, depends on your definition of ‘okay’. Dex was certainly alive, having not been attacked during the night, but Dex felt ashamed and embarrassed and promised to himself that he would never leave the house again.  Dex sighs, hugging his bedspread tighter around his shoulders. “I’m sorry,” is the first thing that comes out of his mouth, and it feels woefully inadequate.  “Maybe I should have said this before, but I trust you April, and that’s why I want to have sex with you. Because from all accounts the first time is going to be scary and awkward and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else. Because then, regardless of what happens in the future we will always have that.” Dex looks into her eyes and says with all the sincerity in the world, “I want it to mean something.”  but then it is slowly dawning on Dex that she’s saying yes. Like, actually saying yes to him, so he kisses her, long and slow and sweet, savouring this moment, because he knows it won’t always be like this.  She’s all tanned skin and perfect curves and Dex can’t suppress the smile spreading over his lips. He’s brought out of his blatant staring by Xavier throwing the tennis ball straight at the side of his head.  “For someone who’s as smart as you, sometimes you can be really dumb, Dex,” April says, voice coming out low.  “Good,” Dex finally manages, his voice cracking slightly, and all fantasies about Dex being Mr. Smooth-and-Romantic are thrown out the window for good. April lets out a small giggle and begins to lead him towards her bedroom, hands still held tightly together.

But first, would somebody care to explain to me what that disgusting excuse of a man has done to put my stepdaughter in hospital?”  Colleen was cut off by Morag, who decided it was time to intervene as Ruby looked ready to explode with embarrassment and fury. “Two cappuccino’s please Colleen, and two slices of chocolate cake to go as well,” Morag said firmly, with a threatening undertone to her voice, and Colleen mumbled something before turning to sort out their order.  “I remember being horrified as Charlie told me, but yet it added up. Why her relationships never lasted, why she never fully trusted men, why she was the workaholic that she used to be.”  She told me that she thought about her baby girl every day, and Charlie even kept all her ultrasound pictures in a drawer in her bedroom, you know” Morag told Ruby, trying to somehow let her know that even though Charlie had given her up, she had certainly never forgotten her.  feel so weak, letting myself care this much about somebody I barely know. But I can’t help it. That’s how I feel,” Brax admitted, taking Charlie’s hand and squeezing it as he did so with both of his own, and leaning his head against their intertwined hands, and fell into silence. Brax got the shock of his life when he thought he felt the slightest pressure on his hand. and THIS sounds intriguing …… She is also given a diagnosis from Sid. What will happen to Charlie now
