Eden and Abigail exit the surf club. Abigail makes an attempt to convince Eden to go to Yabbie Creek before they go and check on Mackenzie. They run into Remi, who refuses to get drawn into the argument and confirms he’s there to meet Bree. Eden and Abigail leave as Bree approaches. At the farm house, Levi is tending to Mackenzie, who is lying on the couch feelng nauseous. Eden and Abigail arrive and are concerned to see the state Mackenzie’s in, thinking she needs to be in hospital. Mackenzie tells Levi to tell them.
At the Diner, Leah is berating Justin for suggesting changes to the place right after buying it. Marilyn arrives and wonders if something went wrong with the contract. Leah says what happened afterwards was the disaster and she needs to find Irene and apologise. She rushes round to the beach house, tearfully babbling that it was a stupid idea of Justin’s and she was stupid to go along with it and she’ll never change the Diner. Irene calmly but sadly says she shouldn’t have reacted like that and the Diner is Leah’s to do whatever she wants with. She says she’s sad because she’s realised that one day she’ll have forgotten working at the Diner completely.
At Salt, Bree tells Remi about Sonny putting the milk in before the cereal. Remi says Sonny’s seeing how long it takes her to say something. Bree says in that case he’ll be waiting a long time. She goes to get a table on the balcony while Remi runs into Justin at the counter. Justin tells him that Avalon’s new song has dropped and Remi’s publicised as featured artist. Justin shows him the cover, with pictures of him and Avalon, and says he must be stoked. Remi says it’s not the word he’d use.
Mackenzie and Levi explain to Eden and Abigail that there was no medical reason for her not to get pregnant but it didn’t happen. The sisters offer Mackenzie any help she needs. Levi says if she needs anything, he’ll get it, but Mackenzie admits to feeling smothered and asks Levi to leave the three of them alone for a bit. After he’s gone, she asks for a distraction. Abigail produces the wedding mags and Eden grimaces.
Remi joins Bree at the table and she asks when he was going to tell her about Avalon’s song being released. Remi says he only just found out from Justin. Bree explains Kirby shared the post and notes Avalon calls Remi her muse. Remi tries to argue that he and Bree were meant to be leaving this in the past but Bree says it’s not in the past. Remi chases her outside and she wonders if the photo was taken at Avalon’s house on the day they slept together. She tells Remi to go. Levi approaches to check she’s all right.
Irene comments on Leah not touching her tea before explaining about John saying she called him Jett. She realises from Leah’s reaction that it’s right. Leah tries arguing that she calls Justin and Theo by each other’s names all the time but Irene says it’s different for her and tells her about writing names on all her photos so she knows who they are. Leah has an idea and drags her back to the Diner. She tells Marilyn to take a photo of the two of them there so Irene remembers. Marilyn happily complies.
Bree and Levi have moved to a park area. Bree confirms she and Remi are trying to work things out but says something comes up every time they seem to be heading in the right direction. Levi suggests not believing what she sees on social media. Bree asks what Remi and Avalon were like when they performed at Salt. Levi says Remi was happy but thinks that’s because he was performing music. Bree still thinks Avalon gave him something she couldn’t.
Near the beach, Justin runs into Remi who tells him he slept with Avalon and Bree knows, and the publicity about the song has ruined any chance of them getting back together. He gets a text from Avalon saying she’s booked a gig at Salt and inviting him to join her. Remi is furious and storms off.
Mackenzie and Abigail are showing Eden wedding dress suggestions but she isn’t interested. She says she’s excited for the wedding but she doesn’t even know what it’s going to look like yet, although she suspects Cash will want traditional. Abigail tries to accuse her of letting a guy choose how she looks but Eden says she’s going to do it her way and in her time after she’s talked to her fiance, and Abigail can suck it up. Remi comes to the door and starts having a go at a confused Mackenzie for booking Avalon. Mackenzie has to run to the bathroom to throw up and Eden has to pull Remi out of her way, asking him what he’s doing.
Down on the beach, Bree talks to Levi about how she thought they were moving on. She tries to compare it to Levi’s past situation but he tells her she and Remi are trying to repair things and he wasn’t. He suddenly gets a rather panicked call from Abigail and tells Bree he has to go. Not too far away, Justin approaches Leah at the coffee cart and tells her he’s got rid of all the paint swatches and won’t do anything like that again. Leah says she and Irene have got it sorted. Back at the beach house, Irene writes “Leah and me at the Diner” on the back of the photo and then puts it on the shelf in a frame.
Levi arrives home and asks how Mackenzie is. Mackenzie is a bit puzzled that Abigail called him and says she’s fine but then has to rush to throw up again. Abigail tells Levi that Remi was out of control and Eden threw him out. Back at the Lyrik house, Eden asks Remi what he thought he was doing. Remi tells her about Avalon’s song dropping and it stirring things up with Bree. Eden says he’s still blaming everyone else. Levi arrives and Eden tells Remi he’s on his own. Levi tells Remi that Mackenzie was ill and did nothing wrong, and warns him not to talk like that to her or his sisters again. He adds that he defended Remi to Bree earlier.
That evening, Mackenzie is woken by Levi setting the table and wonders where he got to before. He says it was work business. Mackenzie notes she hopes they’re one of those couples for whom IVF works the first time, because she can’t go through this again. At the Diner flat, Bree pours herself a large glass of booze before playing Avalon’s song (Cool For You). Remi arrives and wonders why she’s listening to it, turning it off. Bree says she wanted to know what was worth throwing everything away for.
