Extended Summary

Abigail drives Eden out into the country. Eden complains about having to listen to Abigail’s music. She has prepared a picnic for them whch Abigail is slightly confused about, with Eden just calling it sisterly bonding. Abigail asks if she’s going to steal her car and leave her stranded there. Eden says she wasn’t but it’s not a bad idea.

At the coffee cart, Theo chats to Sonny about how he wishes he hadn’t encouraged Tane to push him so hard. (Irene is on duty behind them.) Theo thinks Sonny is thinking about Dana, saying it’s normal when you start seeing someone. Sonny insists they’re not in a relationship. Harper and Dana approach with Archie’s pram and Dana notes this is the second time someone has kept her up all night talking. She also notes Harper’s clearly still in love with Tane. Theo excuses himself and Harper apologises to Sonny for being full-on yesterday. Dana reminds him he kicked her out before they walk off together.

Theo arrives at the gym and is greeted by Leah, who says she didn’t know he’d be there and offers to go. Theo asks her to stay as an eyewitness, telling Tane he’s starting to regret saying to go hard. Tane sets him up with a shoulder strap before getting a text that he says is from the travel agent. Meanwhile, Irene and Harper return to the Diner with Archie’s pram. Harper admits Dana was right; she and Tane are getting on better than when they were engaged but looking at Archie reminds her of the family they could have been. She doesn’t want to mess things up by talking to him but Irene points out she’s taking it out on other people. Harper then gets a text from Tane asking to meet.

Dana and Sonny head back to the Diner flat. Dana is glad she sorted things out with Harper, saying it’s terrible when you don’t know where you stand with someone. Sonny offers her coffee then finds he doesn’t have any milk…or coffee, and offers cold water instead. He tells her what Theo said about them being in a relationship. They both try to get the other one to give an opinion before Sonny suggests they go and get her a coffee.

Abigail continues to ask Eden why they’re out in the country, noting it can’t be for her birthday unless they’re going to celebrate her for a month. Eden says she and Cash haven’t talked about the wedding but she suspects Cash will want to be traditional and have a best man… so asks her to be the maid of honour. Abigail is amused at her taking her out there to squirm and says maybe, because she has some questions.

Theo is continuing his session with Tane and agrees to a break. Leah asks Theo about Lacey, learning she’s had a couple of trial shifts but nothing permanent. Leah says the offer to work at the Diner is still open but she won’t push it. She subtly asks about Lacey’s family. Theo says her mum died in a car accident and she shut him down when he asked about the others. Tane gets him a drink, then Harper turns up, having left Archie with Irene, and asks to talk in private.

Tane and Harper head into the main surf club area where Tane says the travel agent texted him about the honeymoon tickets to Japan and it’d be a shame to let them go to waste…so suggests she takes Dana. Harper looks disappointed but agrees to talk to her. Tane ask if they can talk more later since he wants to get back to Theo.

Dana and Sonny walk outside the surf club. Dana wonders if Sonny has talked about her to Bree. Sonny says Theo brought up the relationship thing. He admits he cares for her and says some things changed yesterday but then Harper interrupts them. Sonny says he’ll meet Dana upstairs for coffee; she suggests buying her a bucket or a trough of it. Harper tells Dana that Tane suggested taking her on the honeymoon to Japan. Dana says she’s always wanted to go…then realises it’s not what Harper wants.

Abigail is telling Eden she wants to choose the dress and the flowers. Eden threatens to put her in an orange tutu. Abigail thinks she looks great in orange; Eden tells her she doesn’t. Abigail agrees but wonders why Eden didn’t ask Remi. Eden says she wants her sister by her side and them to be a proper family again. Abigail starts asking about the hens party and says the best man needs to be someone she gets on with but who won’t make her look short.

Dana rapidly finishes off her coffee in Salt. Sonny asks about Harper, and Dana says she still has feelings for Tane. Sonny asks about himself and Dana, prompting a lot of hypothetical comments before they cautiously confirm their feelings are reciprocated. They shake hands and kiss. Later, the two of them go for a walk on the beach. Sonny says there’s something he needs to tell her: He had a one-night stand while travelling in South America and she rang him a few months back to say he’s a dad, she’s not coping and she wants him to have full custody. Dana says it’s not a deal-breaker. Sonny says the boys are arriving next week, twins. Dana says they can find a nice orphanage for his imaginary kids and that was a terrible story.

Tane meets with Harper outside the surf club; Archie is asleep in his pram. Harper says she didn’t ask Dana to go with her and doesn’t want their family apart. Tane says she should have a nice relaxing break. Harper says she doesn’t want to go with Dana but with him. Tane is surprised. Later, up in Salt, Harper suggests Tane might want to be there for Archie’s first holiday. Tane checks it’s just as friends and Harper agrees.

Leah and Theo arrive at the Diner. Leah says she’ll get him a milkshake and Irene says she’ll bring it over. Harper comes in with Archie and tells Irene that she and Tane are going to Japan on their honeymoon. She admits he thinks it’s platonic but hopes it will make him see things differently. Later, Theo suggests to Leah that she’ll see more of him now he’s living upstairs. He leaves to meet Lacey. Leah tells Irene that Lacey isn’t being honest with Theo but can’t say more.

Abigail and Eden arrive back at the farm house and find a large box on the table from their dad. Abigail opens it and finds a note saying it’s one present for every year he couldn’t be with her. Eden calls it emotional blackmail and tips them into the bin. Later, Abigail lays them out on a table and tells Eden to leave them. She opens the first one to find a bag and notes he has great taste. Eden considers them bribes. Abigail says he wants a relationship with her and insists Debra has forgiven him despite Eden insisting otherwise. Eden asks what Abigail wants her to do. Abigail says if Eden really does want to bring them family back together she’ll invite Jimmy to the wedding. Eden looks stunned.
