Extended Summary

Levi and Abigail are walking on the beach with Levi asking about her counselling session. Abigail wishes that she had seen through Nerida sooner, thinking then none of it would have happened. Levi says she took her at face value and so did Cash. He answers a phone call from Eden as Abigail walks away, telling her about the counselling session and agreeing to her coming round later.

Rose and Dana are walking in a park area. Dana is bewildered that Xander would ask that of her, saying that she’s got the baby and the wedding coming up, and she doesn’t want to abandon Harper or miss those things, plus she has her job and volunteering. Rose is surprised Xander’s willing to walk away from it all. Dana decides to let Xander know that he’ll be giving up his girlfriend, sister, job and amazing lifestyle.

At the Diner, Alf and Marilyn are telling Leah about Eliza and about how she lost everything in a fire and Roo’s taken her shopping. Leah gets a text from Justin saying he and Theo are back. She admits she hasn’t told him about the court and the fine but says it was only because she didn’t want to ruin their trip away and will tell them now. At the garage, Justin and Theo are gushing over the car and listing the things they need to fix it. Leah turns up and they tell her it cost $4,000 and they’re looking forward to doing it up.

Levi places a sandwich in front of Abigail, saying it’s there if she wants it. She says her counsellor offered her a prescrption to help her sleep but she doesn’t want it and is going to try a meditation instead. Eden turns up and, after exchanging pleasantries, tells them she’s back with Cash. Abigail congratulates her while Levi looks a bit awkward. Later, Eden asks Levi what he thinks. They’re interrupted by Abigail coming in flustered…because her zip’s bust. Abigail says she’s sorry for being taken in by Nerida. Eden says Abigail was a hero who kept Nerida busy until the police got there and she saved her life.

Justin and Theo gush over the car more, saying they should get some new interior panels and a retro steering wheel. Leah asks how much it’s going to cost and they say $11-12,000 and it would cost more if they weren’t mechanics and couldn’t do the labour themselves. Leah asks to talk to Justin. A short time later, she has told Justin about her court appearance and the fine (and admits she considered not turning up). She says if she doesn’t pay the $5000 she’ll go to jail, and they’re still paying off the wedding, so either they can’t afford to fix the car or he’ll have to use it to visit her in prison. They worry about telling Theo.

Levi offers a game of cards, causing Eden and Abigail to tease him for not knowing what to do with himself while Mackenzie’s away. Levi protests that they’re both loved up, leading Eden to learn Abigail’s dating Mali. Eden checks Levi’s fine with it and also asks if he’s fine with her and Cash. He says he’s not one to judge, then gets a call from Mackenzie. The sisters call out that he’s a mess without her and he goes out of the room. Eden asks Abigail to join her for dinner and possibly minigolf, but Abigail doesn’t want to leave Levi so Eden decides to stay as well.

At the Diner, Alf tells Marilyn he’s on his own tonight because Roo and Eliza have gone out for dinner and a movie. Rose comes in and orders a coffee for herself and a hot chocolate for Dana, who has just gone out again on the phone. She explains about Xander taking the job offer, noting he convinced her to come here and it worked out for both of them but now he’s just leaving. Dana comes in, saying she’s left another voicemail.

Theo tells Leah and Justin he’ll stay and work on the car. Justin suggests they go home and talk it through. Leah says she’ll explain since it’s her fault, telling Theo about the fine. Justin says they can’t afford to fix the car so will have to sell it, since otherwise it’ll just be standing there in the way indefinitely. Theo looks downcast.

Rose and Dana are walking through the park again. Rose suggests Xander’s in the middle of dinner service while Dana hopes he’s thinking about what she said. She says she needs Xander there and wonders if he even meant that he loved her, which Rose thinks he did. Dana gets a text from Xander saying sorry he missed her calls but he’s definitely staying and still wants her to come. Dana says either she’s going to Melbourne “or”…then leaves the thought unfinished.

Eden and Abigail bring in some food for them and Levi, continuing to tease him about being lost without Mack. He asks why they don’t go out for dinner if he’s so sad and pathetic, and Eden notes he’s answered his own question. Levi isn’t sure whether to be touched or offended. At Salt, Dana complains that Xander’s putting his career ahead of hers. Rose argues that Xander has his own ambitions and her asking him to come back is the same. Dana doesn’t think they’ll survive long distance so concludes she needs to go to Melbourne to talk him into coming back, announcing that she’s going to pack.

Leah and Marilyn are closing up the Diner. Leah says Justin was understanding about the fine. Justin and Theo are sat at a nearby table. Justin suggests they’ll find another car to do up eventually. Theo suddenly looks thoughtful. At the farm house, Eden tells Abigail about how Levi made up a mix tape CD for a girl he was crushing on and arranged a romantic date at a café, but before he could give it to her, she dumped him. Abigail asks why she never heard this story before and Eden admits she promised never to tell anyone. The others ask her if the wedding’s back on and she says they’re taking it slow. She gets a text from Cash saying he’s got off shift early and heads off to pack for their going away. Abigail asks Levi if he talks to Imogen anymore and he says not in a long time. She wonders how they’re going to arrange the divorce. Levi says they have to be separated for a year…which he realises is now.

Next morning, Justin is at the garage taking photos of the car with a For Sale sign on it. Leah turns up as he posts the advert. Theo appears a moment later and says he’s taken out a personal loan to do the car rebuild. Leah is aghast that he’s put himself in debt for a car. An apparently oblivious Theo says it’s the most adult thing he’s ever done.

Abigail gets Levi breakfast and asks why he isn’t on top of his divorce. She says he wants to put a line through his marriage, and if Mackenzie’s the love of his life, he shouldn’t be married to Imogen.
