Extended Summary

At the coffee cart, Dana and Harper chat about how they’re never on shift together anymore. Leah jokes that the hospital are keeping the troublemakers apart. Bree says she’s on call so Dana might see her anyway. Justin turns up and tells Leah that Claudia’s still angry but she’s agreed to meet him face to face at the surf club. Leah warns him he has some serious negotiating to do but does her best to trust him.

At the motel, Eden texts Remi to say she’s not coming home. Abigail appears from the bathroom and comments on them still being there. Levi asks if she finished the antibiotics for her arm and offers her something for the nausea. Eden tries to get her to go to hospital. Levi agrees it would be best and says he doesn’t care if other people see her. Abigail hurries off to the bathroom again.

Justin and Leah head home where Theo invites Justin to join him in a video game. Justin says he has to go out but flounders when Theo asks where to, saying he has to pick up a part for the garage. Theo says he’ll go with him. Justin struggles to come up with a reason why he can’t so Leah steps in and says they’re going on a date afterwards. Theo quickly backs up, just saying to bring him some food home. Justin and Leah retreat into the bedroom where Justin says they’ll tell Theo once it’s sorted.

Abigail decides to take a shower, complaining about her siblings thinking they’re better than her. Levi asks Eden about her break-up with Cash. She explains he thinks everyone he loves ends up in the ground: She can’t convince him otherwise and the only person who could have done isn’t around anymore. Levi takes a call from Mackenzie, telling her he’s got a difficult consult and won’t be back until the morning. Eden comments on how easily he lies.

Dana is treating a patient when Bree arrives, having been called in. Dana explains the patient was involved in a collision with a low-speed vehicle. Bree says to take him for an x-ray and they’ll reassess when he’s fully conscious. Dana says she didn’t mean for someone to be run over so they could work together. Bree doesn’t seem to realise it’s a joke, repeating for her to do the x-ray while looking at the chart with concern.

Eden tries without success to get Abigail to go to hospital, even suggesting they could make sure no-one knows who she is. She asks Levi what he’d do if they were at the hospital. Levi says he’d have access to other medication…and realises that’s what he needs. Eden doesn’t want to be left alone with Abigail. Levi reminds her she wanted something done and says to keep Abigail’s fluids up and lock the door after him.

Justin and Leah are waiting at the surf club when a woman with her arm in a sling comes in. Justin identifies her as Claudia and introduces Leah to her. Claudia feels outnumbered so Leah heads upstairs and leaves them to it. Justin sits Claudia downstairs and apologises, saying he hopes they can work out a solution that pleases them both. Claudia is grateful for the apology and agrees to go upstairs for dinner.

At the hospital, Levi is helping himself to supplies from the store room. Nearby, Bree looks over the x-rays and thinks they need to do a CT to make sure. She asks Dana’s opinion, which surprises her. Dana agrees with her. Bree sees Levi heading for the lift with a bag full of supplies and he says they’re for a home visit that won’t come to hospital. Bree asks why he hasn’t signed them out. Levi asks her to trust him and she lets him go. Dana reappears with an update on the patient; Bree immediately thinks something’s wrong but Dana just says he’s been sent to CT.

Eden is getting evermore concerned about Abigail and eventually decides to phone for an ambulance against her wishes. Before she can do so, Levi turns up and gets Eden to help him use a lamp to set up an improvised drip. He notes Bree saw him but he lied about why he needed the supplies, commenting that apparently he’s good at that.

At Salt, Leah watches from a distance as Claudia explains to Justin that she needs her car for work and has already missed two days. Justin offers her a courtesy car and she points out she’s not allowed to drive. Justin knows her husband Eric was on the car registration. Claudia says they’re not doing confined spaces together at the moment. She accepts the deal of the courtesy car along with Justin doing the mechanical repairs and dropping the car off with the panelbeater for free. Bree and Dana come in for a post-shift drink and Dana wonders why Leah’s at the bar and her husband’s on a date with another woman. Leah says she’s a client. Bree recalls treating her at the ED for a broken arm and abruptly leaves.

Leah and Justin arrive home with a takeaway and are greeted by Theo, who has received a phone call about Claudia’s car being dropped off at the garage and wonders what’s going on. Although Justin doesn’t say anything, he deduces that she was in an accident and it was his fault. Meanwhile, Bree arrives back at the hospital and asks a nurse for Claudia’s file, suspecting something might be wrong.

Theo is upset to get the full story about Claudia. Justin says it could have happened to anyone. Theo asks if it’s ever happened to him and Justin admits it hasn’t but says they both need to double check their work from now on. Theo is still depressed and heads off to bed. At the motel, Levi attends to a sleeping Abby as Eden wakes up on the couch. Levi notes the first 24 hours are the worst so hopefully Abigail’s over that. Eden apologises for her comments before, saying she’s told lies too. Levi recalls when they both used to tell Abby an old woman lived under her bed. Abigail, stirring, fondly says she’s never forgiven them.

Next morning, Dana arrives at the hospital and is surprised to realise Bree has been there all night. Claudia appears, having been summoned back in by Bree for more tests. Bree asks if Claudia’s been having trouble with her neck, saying she saw her rubbing it in Salt. Claudia says it’s just been a bit stiff. Bree instructs her to have a CT. Dana says it’s just a precaution and shows her to the cubicles. She asks Bree why they’re doing this and Bree tells her to do what she’s told.

At the coffee cart, Leah and Justin chat about how Theo’s feeling and how things seem to be sorted with Claudia. Claudia then calls Justin, telling him about being called back in for tests and saying if there’s anything seriously wrong she could sue him. Justin shoots Leah an awkward look.
