Stevie’s stalker is back. Cash crosses a boundary. Justin and Leah have a change of heart.
Extended Summary
Cash and Eden collapse onto the beach together, getting rather amorous as they reflect on Cash having three days off, which he notes he was hoping not to spend alone. Talk becomes a bit more sombre as they discuss the fact someone has to keep an eye on Remi (Kirby has been filling in now she’s back), as well as the situation with Stevie and the recent troubles with the teddy bear and the photos, before they become playful again and resume kissing.
Leah and Justin are walking through a park area. Justin says he’s sorry for losing it with John and Leah apologises for snapping at him. Justin notes he doesn’t like going to bed on an argument. He suggests that they have a beach wedding. Leah says she isn’t opposed to a beach wedding so long as it’s not tacky. Justin lets go of her hand and says he’ll try and come up with non-tacky ideas from now on.
John is once again sitting looking miserable at the Diner as Irene checks on him. He admits he should have listened when Leah and Justin said no the first time. Marilyn says it’s okay to feel hurt. John sees Leah and Justin approaching and suddenly remembers a meeting at the surf club, despite Irene telling him not to avoid them. Leah realises he saw them and convinces Justin to go after him.
Justin chases after John, who says he’s late for a meeting and Justin has two minutes. Justin apologises for being harsh, saying it turns out planning a wedding with Leah isn’t any easier than planning it without her. He encourages John to still try and get qualified as a celebrant. John says it was never about the job, he thought he was stepping up for his two closest friends.
Cash and Eden go rushing up to the Newman house, which they hope to have to themselves. Cash stops when he gets a phone alert, explaining he’s set it up to tell him when Stevie gets tagged on social media. Having ascertained it’s nothing to worry about, he carries Eden inside. Not long after, the two of them are in bed, clearly enjoying have time to themselves. Cash’s phone beeps twice and Eden encourages him to check it. He sees that the stalker’s account now has a photo of Stevie’s hotel.
Leah tells Irene and Marilyn that she and Justin don’t seem to be able to agree on anything. Justin comes back and promises her that he’s sorted things with John. Marilyn offers to organise the cake. Justin says it’s generous but Leah says she wants to bake it herself. Everyone is bewildered, with Marilyn claiming it’s bad luck before saying she’s spoken to a baker and it was meant to be her gift to them. Leah says there’s no point spending money when she could do as well herself. Justin quietly comments to Irene that at least Leah doesn’t just hate his ideas.
Later, Leah and Justin are walking through a park with Justin suggesting Leah’s being a bit intense.. Leah knows Marilyn was disappointed but says they have to work out what they want the wedding’s vibe to be. Justin suggests a list of what they have to do and Leah enthusiastically says she’ll write it.
Cash is on the phone to Stevie round the back of the Newman house and tries to get her to listen to her security detail but eventually tells Eden he’s going to need to go to the hotel because Stevie won’t make any decisions without him there. Later, John sees Eden playing pool on her own at the surf club. She comments on Cash always being busy and how today was supposed to be his day off. John, obviously preoccupied, says sometimes you’re not on the same page as people. Eden insists Cash will be home soon.
Back at the Morgan house, Leah rambles about how they need to sort out the flowers so they can match the suit and dress and wedding cars. Justin, increasing detached, asks if muscle cars are out and Leah says they were never in. Later, Leah brings up the topic of music. Justin reminds her he booked Lyrik but Leah isn’t sure that’s their vibe and suggests a string quartet and a DJ in the evening for dancing. Justin reminds her she told him he could have the big wedding he wanted and instead it seems he can only have the big wedding she approves of. He calls her a control freak and asks for one decision she’s let him make. After thinking a bit, Leah offers Theo as his best man but Justin isn’t impressed by one thing and says the wedding’s hers to micromanage.
Eden is heading towards the Newman house as Cash pulls up outside. She announces she has lunch for two…then sees he has Stevie with him. Stevie thanks Eden for letting her stay. Cash explains Eden lives across the road and it’s just him and his sister there. He quietly admits to Eden that Felicity doesn’t know Stevie’s staying. Later, Stevie is putting her bags in the spare room, telling Cash she doesn’t need anything else and it’s not so different from the place where she grew up. Cash offers to get her some lunch but Eden insists they talk about this now.
Leah talks to Irene and Marilyn at the coffee cart about her argument with Justin. They admit she’s being a bit of a bridezilla and advise she talk to Justin, who is approaching. Leah apologises and suggests she let Justin decide some things, before eventually announcing he can decide everything and just tell her where to turn up. Irene calls it a surprise wedding. Justin says he knows his first decision; Leah says she doesn’t want to know and Justin says he’s not going to tell her, rushing off. Irene and Marilyn wonder if she’ll be able to stick to it. Leah insists she will but looks a bit apprehensive. Justin runs up to John outside the surf club and says he has a proposal for him: Marrying him. And Leah, he quickly adds. John is bewildered at the change of heart but happily accepts.
Cash and Eden head outside to debate things. Cash says Stevie needs somewhere safe and secure until another hotel is found for her, arguing that no-one will look for her at his place and they’ll lock the front door for once. Eden wonders why Cash has to be the one to take his work home. Stevie overhears them arguing.
When Cash comes back in, Stevie’s heading out with her bags, saying it was wrong to demand he come and rescue her. Cash asks her to stay so he can protect her.
