Extended Summary

Cash, Jasmine and Felicity all run into each other on the beach. Cash admits their best hope of solving the case is for Tane to wake up and remember something. Felicity asks Jasmine about Tane and Jasmine says he’s still in a bad way. Cash asks why she’d be interested, especially when she wishes she could go and see him, and Felicity sarcastically apologises for worrying someone might die. Cash and Jasmine both follow her up towards the surf club with Cash insisting Felicity can’t go near someone she’s taken out an AVO against. Felicity says she feels bad for Tane and Jasmine awkwardly agrees it’s a horrible situation. Cash gets a phone call and tells Felicity to promise not to go near the hospital. Felicity tries to avoid Jasmine by going for a shower but Jasmine says she’ll wait.

Ziggy apologises for not noticing Dean was in pain and wonders how it got so bad. Dean eventually admits he got in the middle of a fight between Bella and Chloe. Ziggy thinks he went back to work too quickly but Dean snaps at her to look after her work while he looks after his. Later, Dean mentions the extra surfing students that Nikau has brought in and says he needs to take on extra tutors for the lessons. Ziggy suggests he doesn’t have to deal with it now but Dean tells her to back off, so she goes for a surf.

At the Diner, Irene and Marilyn comment on how happy they are to be back at work. Marilyn goes over to Alf’s table and asks about Martha. Alf says there’s no improvement and Roo’s with her now. Bella comes in and gives Irene a hug, saying she’s glad she’s all right. Irene senses there’s something wrong and they go for a walk on the pier where Bella fills her in on the argument. Bella thinks Chloe was out of line. Irene points out Bella accused her of something she didn’t do and Bella protests she was just going by what Nikau said. Irene suggests Bella’s reaction was coloured by her own experience: She might have forgiven Nikau but what happened is still affecting her.

Jasmine is still waiting when Felicity emerges from the surf club and suggests a late lunch at the Diner. Felicity is commenting on Cash accusing her of something she didn’t do when they see Cash talking to two federal police officers. They go over to him and he explains that, since it was a chemical attack on a public place and they don’t really know the motive, the federals have to check if it’s an isolated incident or not. Down on the beach, Ziggy runs into Bella and asks about the incident at the surf club. Bella admits she feels stupid and asks if Dean’s all right, before asking to hang out.

Alf meets Cash at the surf club and Cash asks him to let the federals into the gym. Alf points out Ari and Mia own it and Cash explains they’re being interviewed at the hospital. They discuss the investigation and Martha, and Alf apologises for giving Cash a hard time that night, saying the good thing is they’ll catch the “grub” who did it. At the Diner, Felicity and Jasmine are debating what to have. Nearby, Irene suggests Marilyn go home if she’s tired but Marilyn says Alf will be in and she’d rather be working. Felicity looks uncomfortable as they discuss Martha and Tane. Jasmine chimes in as she and Irene reflect on how they can’t sleep. Felicity abruptly decides on takeaway lasagne.

Bella and Ziggy arrive at the surf club and see the police investigation. Ziggy asks about Tane and Bella notes no-one can visit him because of the poison. She is surprised Ziggy wants to visit him but Ziggy says he’s a friend and time has passed. At the Diner, Alf collects food from Irene and Marilyn and comments that there is one piece of good news: Martha’s painting sold for $5000. He goes to join Roo at the hospital, checking Marilyn will be okay on her own this evening since Ryder’s at TAFE.

Jasmine and Felicity arrive back at the caravan park. Felicity faux-casually mentions that she wasn’t in town when the poisoning happened and was with a friend. She sends Jasmine into her caravan to get some wine. Jasmine puts the bag in the bin and finds a crumpled receipt from a chemical shop. She pockets it and rejoins Felicity. Later, they have finished eating and Jasmine tries to make her excuses and go. Felicity realises they’re out of wine and convinces Jasmine to join her at Salt for tequilla shots.

At Salt, Bella recalls Ziggy’s comment about time and admits that, even though she’s forgiven Nikau, she’s struggling to move past him cheating. Ziggy says relationships are about trust and honesty and she should tell him how she feels. She heads home where Dean reluctantly admits he hasn’t sorted out the problem. Ziggy says there’s a perfect solution: Her, a champions surfer. Dean protests that she has her own job but Ziggy says she can teach classes on the weekends.

Jasmine and Felicity arrive at Salt. Jasmine sees Cash and sends Felicity on aheadm saying she’ll invite him to join them. She drags him into the gym and shows him the receipt she found, which is for organophosphate. She tells him she found it in Felicity’s caravan and realises that he thinks Felicity did it. Meanwhile, Marilyn is walking home on her own in the dark. She feels dizzy for a moment, then her feet starts to drag and she stumbles. She leans against a tree for a few seconds, but once she tries walking again she falls and is unable to reach her bag. She passes out.

Cash and Jasmine join Felicity in Salt and Felicity says she drank their cocktails and ordered shots. Cash shows her the receipt and Jasmine explains where she found it. Felicity insists it’s not hers but can’t explain where it came from. She sees their doubtful looks and storms out.
