Extended Summary

Colby and Willow are walking near the beach. Willow gleefully talks about giving Colby some harder exercises but Colby is distracted. He notes he’s a third wheel with Dean and Ziggy at the flat and hadn’t realised how much his life revolved around Bella. Willow insists Bella’s being looked after and he should focus on himself. Mackenzie joins them but declines an offer to watch Colby’s physio. At the hospital, Jasmine is having her blood taken. Tori explains it’s to make sure there’s no underlying condition. Wendy is bewildered that she could have the symptoms of pregnancy without being pregnant and wonders if she made it up. Jasmine wants to look for the baby again, saying she took a test, and also thinks she must have lost the baby but Tori says she was never pregnant. Jasmine hurries out, saying she needs some air, and Tori follows.

Justin and Leah are in bed. Both agree that what just happened was perfect; Leah says she was worried but it felt like coming home. Grace then starts crying and, after waiting for a bit, Justin goes to her. The three of them head to the Diner and greet Irene. After Justin’s gone to a table, Irene notes they seem to have sorted out their earlier disagreement and also deduces they did more than talk. Leah says she got down from her high horse and Irene quips that she seems to have got back on it. Leah wonders if she’s heard from Jasmine and Irene says she hasn’t.

Jasmine, Tori and Wendy are back at the beach house. Jasmine says she had a positive test and all the pregnancy symptoms and that her body lied to her. Tori explains to Wendy that it’s a known medical condition and Jasmine was as surprised as the rest of them. Wendy is instantly sympathetic and goes to comfort her. Irene comes home and asks to see the photo. Jasmine hurries out and Tori explains she wasn’t pregnant. Wendy wonders if Jasmine should be on her own and Tori goes after her. On the beach, Jasmine walks out into the sea until it is up to her waist. Tori and Willow both see her and call out to her. Once she’s back on the sand, Willow puts a blanket around her and Tori explains about there not being a baby. Jasmine laments that she’ll never have Robbo’s baby.

Mackenzie brings Colby two menus at Salt but he says he only needs one because he’s been stood up. Mackenzie offers to have a chat. Colby is reluctant but Mackenzie reminds him that they’re friends and he can open up to her, offering to shout him dinner. Later, after they’ve finished eating, Colby talks about missing Bella and how he wants to go and see her. Mackenzie thinks the place she’s at sounds good and Colby should trust them. Colby is upset about the lack of updates but notes that Willow said something similar.

Jasmine and Willow are in the bedroom and end up packing away the baby clothes. As they do, Tori explains to Irene and Wendy about phantom pregnancies, including the positive test Irene saw: The mind tricks the body into believing it’s pregnant, complete with mood swings, morning sickness and weight gain. She points out Jasmine was grieving, and believing she was having Robbo’s baby not only got her through it, but everyone else…and now she’s had that taken away from her. Later, Wendy finishes off a phone call with Ian. Jasmine joins her and apologises for the upset she caused while Wendy apologises for not being more supportive. Both feel like they’ve lost Robbo again.

Next morning, Jasmine and Wendy are going for a walk; Wendy has to get back to the farm but says Jasmine should come visit if she wants looking after. They run into Justin, Leah, Tori and Grace who check on Jasmine; both she and Wendy are enamoured with Grace. Justin and Leah leave and Tori tries to leave too but Jasmine convinces her they should all have a family breakfast together. Later, at the Diner, Wendy thanks Tori for holding everything together yesterday. Colby comes in and asks Irene about the ultrasound. She explains about the phantom pregnancy but stops him going to talk to Jasmine because it would bring it all up again when she’s looking happy. Tori says she has to drop Grace off with Marilyn and get to work. Jasmine offers to take her and Tori agrees, saying she’ll give Marilyn a call.

Colby heads towards his car. Mackenzie calls out to him and wonders where he’s going. Colby tries to claim he’s going to work but Mackenzie points out he isn’t in uniform and hasn’t been given the doctor’s clearance yet, asking where he’s really going. They head to the Diner flat; Colby admits he wants to go to the therapy centre, suggesting he might drive past and catch a glimpse of Bella. Mackenzie says he could put her back by doing that but Colby wants Bella to know he hasn’t abandoned her. His complaints about the lack of information are halted by a phone call from Steve.

At the beach house, Tori says her goodbyes to Wendy, who hands Grace back to her then tells Jasmine Grace is all they have now and she should focus on her. Tori worries she didn’t bring any wipes but Jasmine says she has some in her room. Tori gives her details of the routine and Jasmine points out she’s done it before. She says having Grace there will help her live in the moment. After Tori’s gone, Jasmine apologises to Grace for not giving her a brother or sister and says it’s just the two of them now. At Salt, Colby admits to Mackenzie he should have listened to her. Willow joins them and he explains Bella is having problems with group therapy but is responding well to the equine therapy. He accepts he needs to live his own life.

Jasmine is playing with Grace on the floor. Irene arrives home to check on her and Jasmine notes she really wanted to have Robbo’s baby. Irene says she’ll have a child one day but Jasmine says she only changed her mind about wanting children because of him and doesn’t believe she’ll want a baby with someone else. She concludes she has everything she needs right here.
