Extended Summary

Outside the Diner, Irene is leaving a phone message for Jasmine, asking how Robbo is. A moment later, Jasmine comes bounding up and tells her that Robbo’s awake and everything’s going to be all right. At the hospital, Robbo has summoned Colby and tells him that Victor caused the accident and had got to Scott by threatening his family. He says Scott had only been working for them a couple of weeks but killed Lance and was going to kill him. He tells Colby to tell the feds but let Jasmine think it was an accident. He then tells Colby to look after Jasmine, grabbing him by the wrist and making him promise. Then he arrests and Alex and a crash team come rushing in.

At the Diner flat, Jasmine picks out some clothes for Robbo, along with their wedding photo and photos of his children. At the hospital, Colby watches as Alex and her team try to resuscitate Robbo. Willow arrives and takes in the situation. The nurse tells Alex they’ve been trying for 40 minutes. Alex sees Robbo’s pupils have blown and calls time of death at 12.54. She joins Colby and Willow outside. Colby decides he should tell Jasmine.

Colby runs into Jasmine outside the hospital. He says he has to tell her something. Jasmine initially worries it’s to do with Bella. When he says it’s not, she seems to realise what’s happened and tries to walk away. Colby tells her to stop and says Robbo’s died. Jasmine refuses to believe it. She storms into the hospital and shoos a nurse away from Robbo’s body. Willow and Alex watch on with Colby as she first insists she can fix it, then begs him to wake up before breaking down in sobs.

Not long after, Colby and Willow are with Jasmine in the corridor. Jasmine doesn’t want to leave Robbo. Colby says people will look after him as she’s looked after other people’s loved ones in the past. The three of them head back to the flat where Jasmine picks up one of Robbo’s shirts and hugs it. Colby tries to offer her a glass of water. Irene arrives and hugs Jasmine, who says she’s going to lie down. Irene calls after her that they’ll be there if she needs anything. Willow offers to sit with her, then says she’ll be just outside. Irene wonders why there’s no police protection outside. Colby says it’s not necessary and to trust him.

Roo greets Alf and Martha at the Diner. She thought they weren’t going to be back until next week and they explain they didn’t want to stay away with all that going on. Alf asks about Marilyn; Roo says she was there when Mason died and John has taken her to the city to see Jett. Alf asks about Leah and Roo says there’s still no news. Martha comments on the amount of support in the Bay. Alf wonders what he’d do without her and Martha says he’d be miserable.

That evening, Colby finishes a phone call and tells Willow that Dean and Ziggy are going to sit with Bella and seem to be back together. Willow says Alex is on her way. She asks about the end for Robbo. Colby recalls him saying to look after Jasmine and says he knew he was going to die. Alex arrives and knocks on Jasmine’s bedroom door.

Jasmine says she’s not hungry and Alex says she hasn’t got any food. Jasmine wishes she hadn’t gone home and thinks she might have seen something if she’d stayed. Alex says Robbo has a sudden uncontrollable haemorrhage and no-one could have stopped it. Jasmine thinks about telling his parents and Tori, recalling Grace was meant to be his second chance for a family and they were going to have a baby of their own. Alex leaves, looking like she’s struggling herself, while Jasmine lies down with the shirt.

Alex is out on the pier. Willow joins her. Alex says she didn’t know what to do when the gunmen turned up. Willow reminds her she’s meant to treat patients, not take care of hostage situations. Alex laments losing Mason and Robbo. Willow comforts her. Back at the flat, Jasmine wonders who she should call first and how Tori will take it. Colby suggests calling Justin to ask about the right time. Jasmine decides to call Robbo’s parents, recalling he put their number in her phone at the motel in case he got hurt. She makes the call but breaks down after a few words. Colby takes the phone off her and tells Wendy about the accident and that Robbo died soon after being taken to hospital.

At the caravan park house, Roo tells Alf about the accident and Robbo dying. Alf recalls when he first met Robbo and Roo recalls Robbo knocked him out. They explain to Martha about Robbo being washed up and not knowing who he was, before turning out to be an undercover cop. Martha says she wishes she’d known about not holding back. Alf thinks they should do something to show their respects.

Not long after, on the beach, Roo places a series of candles in the sea before joining a group also holding candles, including Alf, Martha, Irene, Ben, Maggie, Willow and Alex. Jasmine watches from the balcony, with Colby watching her. Martha tells Alf this was a good idea of his and comments on his tough guy image being an act. Alf asks how she’d feel about marrying him again. Martha is bewildered, wondering if it’s a serious question. Alf thinks it’s simple enough. Martha says if he thinks it’s simple, he hasn’t thought about it at all. She walks away.
