Extended Summary

Robbo and Jasmine pull up outside the Diner. Robbo tells her that he said his parents would love her, despite the rocky start. Jasmine notes she’s never done so much baking in her life, as well as fence making. She wants to go to the gym to work off all the roast dinners but Robbo wants to see Tori first. At the Morgan house, Tori remarks to Justin that she isn’t bored enough to look through the applications for her temporary replacement. She gets a text from Robbo about popping round and, seeing him ask if he can bring anything, hopes he brings understanding: She is nervous about telling him about the suture.

Bella messages Tommy, saying the camera is too much. Tommy says he wants her to have it and suggests she considers it a loan. Bella shuts the laptop when Willow comes downstairs. Willow asks about the camera and Bella says a teacher loaned it to her for an assignment. At the surf club, Maggie expresses surprise that Ben hasn’t checked up on his boards and he decides he should do that now. Ziggy announces it’s their fault that Dean doesn’t trust her to see his mum, suggesting he thinks she doesn’t understand having grown up with relatively functional parents. Maggie says that’s the nicest insult they’ve ever had. Ben encourages her not to take it personally but Ziggy wishes she could help him.

Outside the Diner, Leah suggests to Justin that they takes Ava on a trail ride. Justin says she’d be happy with the beach and there’s no need to bribe her with a pony. He is convinced things will go well. Meanwhile, Raffy turns up at the beach house where Bella has set up a photography area. Bella shows her the storyboard for her project: Photos showing her as a friend, student and sister, with a question mark for the photo showing the real her, which she hasn’t worked out yet. She gets Raffy to pose with her for a selfie, noting that, even though they are friends, selfies always look forced. She goes to get changed.

Robbo and Jasmine go to see Tori and present her with a teddy from a roadside shop. They say things went well after a bumpy start. Tori sits them down and tells them the real results of the scan and how she had to have the suture. Robbo is angry that he would have been hundreds of kilometres away if something had happened. He ends up walking out.

Not long after, Justin encounters Robbo near the surf club and admits he knew what was going on. He tries to plead Tori’s case but Robbo walks off. Willow greets him at the gym and says the place hasn’t fallen apart but she could use more notice, since she’s looking after Bella on her own with Irene away. She also mentions Mason isn’t happy. Robbo, who has been putting on gloves while she’s talking, starts punching a bag.

Bella has set up a shot with her in school uniform, surrounded by books and with the shadow of bars on her. She says she used to enjoy school when she was younger and hid away and did homework while her dad and Colby were fighting. She gets Raffy to sit in her place while she lines up the shot and then take it, saying her face is part in shadow to represent her moving towards her new life. She says she’s going to use the old missing photo to represent her as a sister, since it’s how Colby still sees her or wants her to be, just leaving them with the last shot.

Jasmine arrives at the gym, having been summoned by Willow, and tells her she thinks Tori was in the right. She approaches Robbo and asks if he’s going to carry on fighting with Tori in the run-up to the wedding and when the baby arrives. She encourages him not to let it drag on. Meanwhile, Justin checks in on Tori and says Robbo thinks she doesn’t trust him and needs to let him be a part of it. He says the baby’s going to be a Shaw as well as a Morgan (or “Shawgan” as he dubs it) and she needs to let Robbo feel that.

Ben and Maggie set off for Yabbie Creek, where Ben will check on the boards. Willow appears and Ziggy tells her about Dean going to see Karen on his own, which surprises her. She guesses it’s about Rick showing up. Ziggy asks what she needs to know about Karen. Willow says Dean’s used to it being him and Karen against the world. Later, they meet up and Willow suggests Dean’s trying to protect Ziggy. She says Ziggy makes Dean happy but he always looks after his mum, even when she doesn’t deserve it, and will have to get used to not carrying the burden alone.

Bella has borrowed some of Willow’s clothes and photographed herself in them holding a camera. Raffy thinks she looks creative and artistic. Bella says goodbye to her then sends the photos to Tommy. He messages back that the first three are great but the fourth one isn’t her: She needs to show the good and the bad and let herself be vulnerable. She cleans off her make-up and changes into dark, subdued clothes, photographing herself with a haunted look. She sends it to Tommy, saying it’s the part of her she’s afraid of. Tommy says it’s what makes her a good artist and he’s proud of her.

Leah and Justin run into Jasmine near the beach: They have been stocking up on food for Ava’s visit. Leah says Justin won’t let her buy Ava a horse so he can leave the biscuits. (Justin worries about Ava actually thinking she’s getting a horse.) They all hope Robbo and Tori sort things out soon. Robbo turns up at the Morgan house. Tori admits she thinks she’s to blame for Tori and Jasmine being apart so long. Robbo says he wants to be a part of the baby’s life in good times and bad. Tori says the baby might be a perfect child like her (which she admits was mainly in comparison with Justin) and agrees they need to be a team.

Leah and Justin are nervously loitering outside. Justin thinks it’s a good sign that Robbo hasn’t stormed out yet. Leah encourages him to go and pick up Ava, not wanting him to be late. Inside, Tori says Justin has always been her go-to person and she’s having to learn to confide in Robbo. She says she wants the baby to have his surname. Robbo looks somewhat freaked out and says no way.
