Is Colby about to cross the line? Alf reaches out to an old friend. Will Willow survive? Maggie’s maternal instincts flare when Coco is presented with an opportunity.

Extended Summary

Colby paces in front of the still prone Ross, holding the gun, saying he’s taken so much from them and now Willow, and wanted him to play a game. Dean begs Colby to stop, saying they need to put Ross in the car and take him back to town. He says if Colby kills him then his life is over; he’s only just got Bella back and needs to think of her. Ross mockingly echoes the comment and Colby shoots him dead. He drops the gun, telling a horrified Dean that it’s evidence now.

Jasmine arrives at the Diner, where Marilyn is serving and Alf and John are at the counter. Marilyn gushes over Jasmine’s ring while John sarcastically points out that Jasmine still needs to earn a living. Jasmine gets a call from Chelsea, apparently looking for Colby. Justin and Mason turn round from their table when Jasmine mentions something happening to Willow. Soon after, Justin and Jasmine join Chelsea and Bella at the hospital. Chelsea says Willow’s still in surgery and Jasmine goes to find out more. Chelsea notes she has to get Bella home before they can give their statement.

Coco is chatting to Maggie about starting driving lessons. Ben comes in and notes there were police cars on the highway. He gives Maggie her half-marathon details. Coco points out the course is pretty difficult and, after looking at the map, Maggie is forced to agree. She decides to train while Ben takes Coco for a driving lesson. Ben says there’s a letter for Coco as well but she says she’ll deal with it later. Some time afterwards, Coco parks the car near the Diner and she and Ben greet Maggie, who has been having her practise run. Coco offers to drive Maggie home.

Chelsea and Bella arrive at the flat and are immediately greeted by McCarthy; he hasn’t heard from Colby but needs to ask a few questions. He wonders where Ross might have gone. Bella says it was just them and she can’t think of anywhere apart from home, which is being watched. McCarthy suggests Ross must have been around to find out about the wedding and the limo, which Bella is quick to disagree with. McCarthy says the limo driver was found tied up, shaken but unhurt. Bella gets emotional and Chelsea suggests McCarthy go. Meanwhile, Colby is staring into space. Dean asks him for help. Colby says to call the police and he’ll take the blame but Dean refuses. He finds a shovel and petrol in Ross’ car boot and notes it was him or them. They torch the car.

At the Diner, Alf, Marilyn and John discuss the day, recalling how Colby and Chelsea were only talking about their honeymoon that morning. Alf notes that life can change just like that. At the farm house, Maggie has taken a phone call from Ziggy discussing the incident. Coco suggests they have a movie night. Ben says that sounds like a girls’ night and leaves them to it.

Chelsea and Bella worry about what’s going on with Willow. Bella wonders if Ross will come back but Chelsea thinks that if Dean and Colby don’t get him then the police will. Bella worries that Colby hasn’t called. Chelsea says he and Dean are in the bush with no phone reception. In the bush, Colby and Dean finish Ross’ shallow grave and Dean notes there’s no going back now. Colby drags a metal sheet and a tyre over the grave.

Dean and Colby arrive at the hospital and are greeted by Justin, who says Willow’s out of surgery. Chelsea and Bella arrive, having been summoned by Colby. He hugs them and says that it’s over and their family is safe. Jasmine comes through and says Willow’s ready for visitors, but not all of them at once and it should only be family. Justin nods to Dean, who is shown through to Willow’s room. Soon after, Justin is outside the surf club with Mason and notes that he wanted to be there for Willow but she’s made her feelings clear. Mason offers to ring up and get information on her. Justin notes he wants to punch a wall. Mason suggests beer instead.

Colby is surprised when McCarthy turns up at the hospital; Chelsea says she phoned him. Colby tells the sergeant that they chased Ross but lost him. McCarthy says they found Dean’s car and an unhappy driver; Colby hands over the car keys. Dean emerges from the room. Colby tells him he’s taking Chelsea and Bella home. He pointedly suggests Dean shower and change but Dean refuses to leave Willow so Colby says he’ll bring him a change of clothes. Dean goes back into Willow’s room, taking her hand and kissing her on the forehead. Jasmine brings him a chair. Meanwhile, Colby, Bella and Chelsea arrive back at the flat. Bella goes to her room. Chelsea queries how long Colby and Dean were gone and how Dean ended up so dirty when he didn’t chase Ross through the bush but went back to his car. Colby gives a vague explanation.

Coco and Maggie finish the movie and plan to watch the second one. Coco remembers her letter and opens it; it’s from the school she had camp with, offering her a scholarship. She is excited but Maggie says it’s in Cairns and she’s too young to go there on her own. Coco protests that she’s learning to drive and talking about going to uni but Maggie is unmoved, insisting it’s impossible. Meanwhile, Alf is leafing through a photo album, with a picture of him and Martha when they were young. He picks up the phone and calls Martha, saying he just wanted to catch up. They are soon reminiscing happily.
