Extended Summary

Dean finishes a surf and joins Willow lying on the beach. He suggests they go back to the caravan for some afternoon delight but Willow says she has to get back to work. She also notes she has to pay the rent and is down to her last $20. Dean is dismissive, saying pay day is the next day and she’s been doing well on the ponies recently. He also suggests Willow move in with him to save rent which Willow laughs off. As she leaves, Ash approaches and sullenly notes things are going well for Dean. Dean senses Ash has had trouble with Tori and advises him to just confess to being an idiot. Back at the Morgan house, Olivia is taking Brody’s measurements. Justin finds Tori exchanging texts with Ash and tries to convince her that him leaving is no big deal.

Jasmine approaches Willow at the gym and wonders how she is. Willow admits Dean’s still out of work and she doesn’t have the $200 to pay back Jasmine, although she should do after pay day. Jasmine notes she has a phone bill that needs paying. Willow checks her account on her phone, sees she has $21.60, and opens the gambling app. Back at the house, Hunter and Mason have turned up to give Brody their congratulations. Olivia offers Brody some details on menus from her course. She wonders who his best man is and Brody says he hasn’t decided. Olivia leaves after Hunter checks on her. Brody has called Raffy to try and get her to attend a celebratory meal but she’s busy studying. The best man issue comes up again while Justin and Mason are standing either side of Brody.

At the Diner, Olivia chats to Leah and Jasmine about designing the wedding dress. Leah asks if she can cover it in her vlog, saying it’ll be a good follow-up to Maggie. Olivia points out the dress is meant to be a surprise but is fine with it if Ziggy is. At the gym, Willow looks at her app: Her bet obviously failed since she is down to $1.60. Dean comes in to meet her but Willow says she’s volunteered for an extra shift. Dean doesn’t think things are that desperate, saying he’s checked with a garage in Reefton Lakes for work and she can put off Jasmine.

Ash and Tori run into each other at Salt. Ash offers to buy her a drink but Tori’s only there to collect food for a family meal. She invites Ash but he thinks they should keep it to family. He reflects on Brody and Ziggy making plans: He did that with Billie and Luc, and then Kat and the baby, and it was ripped away from him. Tori says he could have that with her but Ash says he can’t think that far ahead. Tori leaves, disappointed. As the Morgans eat at home, Justin proposes a toast: They nearly lost Brody but he’s turned himself around and their parents would be rapt. He and Mason then ask about best man again. Tori goes outside and Justin follows. She notes Brody had a hard time growing up. Justin says she did too and has made too many sacrifices. Tori admits she’s ready for marriage and children. Justin advises her to tell Ash.

Next morning, Tori asks Brody if he’s had any thought on the best man issue. Justin comes in and says he’s fine if Mason does it, recalling when Brody and Mason were both in hospital and no-one was sure if they’d speak to each other again. Mason comes in and gets the news, with Brody immediately co-opting him to help choose canapes. Justin again advises Tori to talk to Ash. Tori meets up with him by the beach. Ash admits he still doesn’t know what he wants; he’s trying to change but he can’t guarantee he won’t hurt her. Tori says she’s done waiting. After an awkward silence, she sadly says it’s over and walks away.

At the Diner, Olivia tells Leah and Jasmine that Ziggy’s fine with the vlog as long as it doesn’t go online until after the wedding. She shows them some wedding ideas she has in a rather thick portfolio but gets awkward when Hunter comes in. Later, Mason supervises Hunter at the gym, warning him about breaking the expensive equipment. Jasmine greets Willow which Willow takes as her wanting her money, which Jasmine denies. Willow checks her account and finds she still has only $175.30. She also is unconvinced Dean can get a job with a criminal record. Jasmine says she can wait but Willow places a $175 bet.

Hunter approaches Olivia at the Diner, saying it’s good that Brody and Ziggy are getting married but there was a time when they thought it’d be them. Olivia admits there’ve been twinges but says Brody and Ziggy are amazing together. At the gym, Willow sees that her horse didn’t come in. Mason tells Willow that John got a call from the owners who are happy with them. Jasmine invites Willow for coffee but she dismisses it. Dean turns up with a coffee for Willow but she berates him for buying it when he’s skint and angrily wonders when he’s going to get a job, fed up of promises that aren’t kept. After he’s gone, she starts photographing gym gloves and other small items of equipment.

Tori comes home and tells Justin that she and Ash broke up and he isn’t ready to commit. Justin finds Ash on the headland. Ash asks him if Tori’s all right. Justin asks what happened: Ash told him he was up for it and only needed Tori to trust him. Ash says he’s tried but he can’t promise to not let her down. He admits he has no idea what to do next. Justin tells him he’ll work it out.

Justin, Brody and Mason come home and commiserate with Tori. Justin and Mason ask Brody about the bucks night but he says he doesn’t want one. After he’s gone however, Justin tells a sceptical Mason to organise the best bucks party ever. Outside the surf club, Jasmine sees Willow selling a box full of gym equipment to someone. Willow tells Jasmine she sold some stuff online. Jasmine asks if it was hers or the gym’s. Willow says that’s none of Jasmine’s business but Jasmine is horrified at the idea of her stealing from John and Mason when they trust her. Willow thrusts the money into Jasmine’s hand, saying she did it to pay her back, and walks away.
