Robbo’s lies deepen. Raffy is haunted by nightmares. Jarrod tells Ziggy that he’s in Summer Bay to stay.

Extended Summary

Ziggy asks Jarrod what he’s doing there. Jarrod wonders why she’s whispering and Ziggy says Maggie’s in the house and she doesn’t want her telling Ben. At that moment, they hear Ben’s car approaching and hide in the bushes with the bike. Ben heads inside and swiftly comes out with Maggie; they wonder why Ziggy isn’t outside but conclude she’s gone for a walk. Jarrod is hoping to stay in Ziggy’s room but she tells him to go to the motel, adding that he needs to walk his bike out. Meanwhile, Kat and Robbo are taking a walk on the wharf and discuss the fact there’s no sign of Novak still. Kat wonders why Robbo’s been quiet lately but he insists all’s good.

Raffy is having a nightmare and wakes up screaming. Justin, Brody and Mason all come running, sitting her down with a drink and noting that it’s two nights in a row. When they ask her what it was about, Raffy says it was nothing. Next morning, the four of them are at the Diner where Brody is working. He makes Raffy chocolate pancakes, which aren’t on the menu, but it doesn’t seem to cheer her much. John comes in and comments on the rarity of her not eating them. Raffy snaps at him, then apologises and goes to the bathroom. They conclude that someone needs to talk to Raffy. John seems set to volunteer but Justin and Brody think Mason would have better luck.

Ziggy turns down Ben and Maggie’s offer to join them for breakfast, saying she has to go into work. She is fairly dismissive of Ben’s chat with Brody, despite Maggie trying to suggest it’s progress, and leaves without saying much. She heads to Jarrod’s motel room where he mentions following Coco’s online photos to see pictures of her. He says he found their address on the internet and tried to call her but she’s blocked his number. He then says he wants her back. Ziggy reminds him she caught him in bed with another girl and thinks she dumped him. Jarrod insists he misses her but Ziggy says it’s over.

Justin updates Brody on the lack of progress with Raffy before rejoining her and Mason. They wonder if they should get Tori to talk to her if it’s girls’ business and also if it’s to do with Ryder (or Rodney as Justin calls him). Raffy tentatively says that she saw something horrible: A dead body. After getting the full story from her, Justin and Mason think she was mistaken and are reluctant to call the police, eventually deciding to take her out there to show her what it really was. Ziggy comes in and Brody tries to chat to her about his talk with Ben but she is distracted by texts from Jarrod saying he’s got a new phone and not to block this one. She tells Brody she’s going to the gym.

Justin, Mason and Raffy arrive at the cove by boat. Raffy is reluctant to get out, knowing what she’s going to see, but they coax her into coming with them. They soon see the body and Mason belatedly blocks Raffy’s view of it. Justin goes closer, seeing the body half-buried in the sand, and says they need to call the police. Meanwhile, Robbo arrives back at the flat with coffee and Kat comments on the novelty of going to work on her own. She assures him the testimony’s over and they won’t add time to their sentences by killing her. She then gets a call from McCarthy telling her to come in straightaway and turns down Robbo’s offer to go in with her.

At the Diner, John sees Jarrod looking at the notice board for rooms to rent. He explains the motel is too expensive and John suggests he tries the caravan park. Brody and Jarrod lock eyes across the room with apparently mutual recognition; Brody has a flashback to picking Ziggy up outside Jarrod’s place. Back at the cove, Justin and Mason are comforting Raffy, with Mason telling her she can call them the worst brothers ever and doesn’t have to do the dishes for a year. Raffy thinks it’s her fault for stealing the boat but they tell her she did the right thing in the end. McCarthy asks a forensics officer how long the body’s been there and she says the water made the body decompose faster so it’s hard to tell. Kat asks if it’s Novak. She takes a look herself and nods, assuming that he was killed for failing to take care of her. She decides to take Raffy to the station.

Kat takes a statement from Raffy with Justin and Mason present. She says it’ll be up to Alf whether he presses charges against Ryder for stealing the boat but they’ll probably need to talk to him anyway. Justin lingers to ask Kat who the body was but she says they haven’t made a formal identification. After the Morgans have gone, McCarthy comes in. Kat says the gun found with Novak was the same as the one he had earlier and wonders if he was killed with his own weapon. McCarthy says Shepherd and Vincent are coming to take charge and warns her not to discuss it with Robbo, since he was the last to see Novak alive. Justin goes to the Diner on the phone to Tori and fills Brody in on Raffy finding the body. Robbo overhears and asks who it was; Justin doesn’t know but says Kat and McCarthy were tense. Robbo leaves abruptly without his coffee.

Brody goes to the surf club to find Ziggy and tells her Jarrod’s in town, but her reaction makes it clear she already knows. She says she told him to leave. Brody asks why she didn’t tell him but she replies that it’s none of his business and tells him to give her some space. Brody goes to the farm where Ben and Maggie are working on the gazebo. He tells them about Jarrod being in town to win Ziggy back and recounts his conversation with her, adding that he’s worried about her. Ben thanks him for the information.

Robbo goes to the police station and asks Kat about the body. She tells him she can’t say who it is so he guesses it’s Novak. Kat tells him to leave. Later, she finds Robbo at home and asks why he thought it was Novak. Robbo says it was wishful thinking. Kat tells him to look her in the eye and tell her he had nothing to do with Novak’s death and he does so. Kat kisses and hugs him. Robbo looks stricken.
