Episode 6731

Extended Summary

Brody and Ziggy are snuggled together post-coital in the back room of the garage. Brody isn’t entirely keen about sneaking round but Ziggy says the only alternative is for Ben to kill Brody and lock her up in a convent. Brody mentions he’s going to see Mason the next day so Ziggy says she’ll help Olivia with her online store. At Salt, Ash comes in to find Justin laughing with Leah and Roo. He approaches them and they explain that they’ve just realised it’s a year since Justin joined Ash at the garage. Ash looks uncomfortable as they toast to the continued partnership.

Brody arrives home where Tori is slumped sullen on the sofa. She looks for her chocolate stash (which Brody has eaten) and settles for his suggestion of ice cream, which she retreats to her room with when Justin also arrives and starts asking her questions. Brody asks his opinion on going to see Mason; Justin thinks he should go for it. At the hospital, Beth is helping Mason to walk with a frame and notes Simms will get a surprise when he sees him. Mason wants to get to the other side of the room but stops when Beth seems weak and in pain. Beth warns him not to treat her like a snowflake.

Next morning, Hunter and Olivia have been for a swim on the beach and race for their only towel (which they end up sharing). They see Ash who points out they’ll be housemates soon. Olivia is going to be taking photos of her dresses for the site but Hunter offers to help Ash move. He calls over to Tori and asks her to help but she makes her excuses. Back at the Morgan house, Brody receives a good luck text from Ziggy, which he hides from Justin. Tori returns and wonders why Brody isn’t ready. Brody suggests they suss out Mason but the others think it won’t make any difference. Justin goes to take Buddy for a walk and Brody goes in the shower. Ash turns up and tries to talk to Tori but she quickly leaves, telling him to forget it.

Tori and Brody go to the hospital and Brody holds back as Tori goes to Mason’s room. Mason is walking in front of an impressed Simms, who thinks Mason is well enough to go home. Mason is delighted but his good mood evaporates when he sees Brody. Mason tells Brody to get out. Tori tries to play peacemaker but Mason says he’s not going to live with Brody. Back at the beach house, Olivia is taking photos of her dresses on shop dummies but is unimpressed with the result. After she and Hunter have gone upstairs, Brody turns up and asks to talk to Ziggy.

Brody and Ziggy go for a walk on the beach as Brody explains about his meeting with Mason. Both of them think Mason can’t live on his own but by the same token Brody can’t move out because of his bail conditions. At the hospital, Tori gives similar arguments to an unwavering Mason. Beth turns up and Tori leaves her with Mason. Mason says that it’s Brody’s fault that he’s in there and Beth notes she’s often wondered why things happened to her. Mason thinks he can live on his own and have a carer. Beth says he doesn’t have to forgive Mason, just get used to living with him.

Hunter is helping Ash pack up his things at the flat. Ash is somewhat snappy and admits he has a problem with Tori. He confides in Hunter in return for him not telling anyone. Hunter promptly goes home and tells Olivia Ash walked in on Tori naked…but he’s not sure who was naked. Olivia tells the story to Irene, apparently believing it was Ash. Irene tells Roo at the Diner, with the story now progressing to them both being naked. Roo suggests they went swimming together. John overhears and tells Leah (at the surf club) that they went skinny-dipping off the pier. Leah rings Tori to ask her and Tori storms to the garage to confront Ash, resulting in Justin hearing it. Ash wants to explain but Tori walks off, leaving Justin glaring at Ash.

Beth finds Mason getting ready to leave; he has decided to move back home. Beth tells him not to act like they’ll never see each other again, saying they have cars. Mason asks her to come round his when she gets out of hospital. Tori takes Mason home where he is quick to share a delighted reunion with Buddy. However, when Brody comes in, Mason largely ignores him, saying nothing has changed and he still wants nothing to do with him.

Ash tries to explain things to Justin, saying he barely saw anything, but Justin doesn’t particularly want any details. He says the whole thing happened because of Ash hanging around Tori all the time and asks if there’s more to it. Ash admits he has feelings for Tori. Later, they chat about it outside; Justin is still uncomfortable discussing his sister in a romantic light. Ash says he started to see her differently but Justin thinks he isn’t over Kat yet.

Olivia looks over her photos and continues to be unimpressed. Irene says she needs a model and Ziggy offers to do it for free. Olivia sets up her backdrop and Ziggy (and, at one point, Hunter) models the dresses for her. Back at the Morgan house, Brody offers to help Mason carry his food and drink but Mason says he can manage. Brody says he’s not going to give up and he knows how Mason feels. Incensed, Mason grabs Brody round the throat, shouting that it feels like that. Tori and Justin rush in and Justin restrains Mason, who half-sobs half-screams “You did this to me!” at Brody…
